despite the oddities and suspicion that usually accompanies a man without a name, venti isn't the least phased. humans are oft wary of the UNKNOWN, of the simplest details left out, and as they should. self preservation BLEEDS within every one of them as do KINDNESS. some in SUBSTANTIAL degree in one than the other.

〞don't have a name, huh .. i see. how about ' haru ' then ? 〞venti suggests after giving it some thought, tenderly plucking the strings of his harp to the final verse of the tune. 〞names are important to each and everyone of us, after all. it's one of the ways we are remembered by, the ways we meet people on our way. —

for a WANDERER on his journey .. perhaps a SIMPLE and sweet name of humble beginnings to fill it with adventures and stories. 〞

once the tune is past its finale, the bard tucks his instrument away and hops down from the stone pedestal he was perched upon.

〞hehe, did you enjoy that ? i'm glad to hear it, 〞he says jovially, the airiness in his voice carrying reminiscing of the winds. 〞is this your first time in mondstadt ? 〞

with that said, a small hum leaves his lips at the mention of the wanderer’s own nation. without even needing a second glance, it was CLEAR where the pattern of the man’s garb originates from.

 〞and yes, of course. i have visited the islands several times. a dear old friend of mine was talented with all sorts of classical performances and handcrafts. i’d say that even now, there is barely a soul that can surpass her yet,   〞he says with a fond note in his brief description, as though recalling a long lost memory.

 〞for example, when springtime comes, the hanami odori accompanies the cherry blossoms in full viewing,  〞he then recites, strumming his fingers along the FAMILIAR tune that was taught to him, one of the many he learned by heart that’d accompany his old friend’s dances ‘neath the flying petals.

   ❝ I don’t have… a proper name. I go by Wanderer. I’ll let you call me by whatever you feel like, otherwise Wanderer already works for me. ❞ He replied, even though the traveler had given him a name, he did not think much of it. Then he fell silent. So, that bard had been through Inazuma before. What he was saying made sense. For a moment his gaze softened after hearing the bard’s voice recite and the twinkling of the bells of his own hat. A faint image of someone appeared in his mind, someone who actually saw him as a human being. When he realized he was spacing out, he blinked several times, shook his head and turned his gaze back to the bard.    ❝ Huh, apparently you’re not an entirely boring bard. Good. I like you. For now. ❞

if the wanderer’s words have caused offense, venti did not show it. in fact, such FORTHRIGHT observations rarely worked to dip his mood ( he’s been called WORSE even, from a dear old friend many yalms away ).

A humble bard who sang old ballads. Just a bard. For some reason he looked… familiar. It was as if he had done the same as himself. While that guy claimed to be a humble bard, he himself claimed to be a simple wanderer. That was… curious to say the least. He did not understand why he had that feeling but…. Maybe that made him feel understood with that stranger.

Without giving importance to who this Barbara was, the young man crossed his arms.

what a seemingly shy fellow, was the INKLING he’s had upon witnessing the wanderer’s less than composed demeanor. and how curious .. given that there are still traces of raiden shogun and tsarista upon this LOVELY visitor but venti is not one to pry — not when he’s caught up with the grand tales and dreams that now flourished freely within sumeru ( wind conveys news fastest, you see ).

however, instead of raining parades upon the man’s newfound freedom, a PLAYFUL grin decorates the bard’s features instead as he crosses his arms and lifts a finger to his chin in thought.

〞oh dear .. could it be that you are a fan of deaconess barbara too ? ballads may have originated in the past but it’s still very much relevant, you know. 〞he muses aloud, approaching closer to the wanderer and shifts his body frame to the right .. and then to the left - before straightening himself up fully.  

 〞well, no harm in that either ! songs preferences are very personal to one’s ears, after all.     〞

   ❝ Who the hell is Barbara? ❞ 

That was the first thing that escaped from his mouth when he heard that name. Despite having taken a new path, his arrogant personality seemed to remain there. At least he seemed to still be him, even having changes caused by the mess he made earlier. Whatever it was, it was not something he cared about at the moment. He was him, and no one else.

   ❝ I don’t know that person, in fact, I don’t think I know anyone here. I’m just a simple wanderer, that’s what I usually call myself, Wanderer. ❞ He explained, as the name issue did not seem to be something he cared about.

   ❝ Besides, you look weird, who are you? ❞ Of course he could not be nicer, his arrogance came first.

Wanderer could have commented on the ballads, or on his old name, but for some reason… He avoided it.

02. one-liners, multipara are all okay. i lean more towards the latter but i wouldn’t mind doing one-liners either for fun.

03. usually, i match length. but i can also write a lot. i write a hecking lot, especially when it comes to meme in askbox. i ramble a lot. but don’t feel stressed over matching lengths - just give me something to reply to.

04. if you wish to continue a thread from asks, feel free to create a new post and tag me in it.

05. i’m known as a bit of a muse bicycle so i can roleplay any side characters to spice things up on and complement the threads.

09. yes, i am over 20 but i most likely will not be writing sex stuff with just anyone off the bat. main reason being i am pretty bad with it and i wouldn’t want to accidentally give anyone’s character a derection or anything. i do like to write the foreplay though but anything that comes after is pretty hard to interest me unless it’s with a shipping partner. also, i make a lot of sex innuendos joke because unfortunately that’s my main comedy go to but it doesn’t mean that i want to write smut.
