[160212 EXO’luXion in Vancouver] Concert Fanaccount

They say 7 is a lucky number, and boy was luck with me tonight on my 7th time seeing EXO in person. The closest I’ve ever been, the most member interactions I’ve ever had. Hands down one of my favourite concerts in my life. While sadly there negative aspects about the experience, 99% of that can be attributed to horrible management from MyMusicTaste, which I’ll address in another fanacc. This fan account is going to be purely positive because despite the bad moments, overall this night was really an amazing night and I want this post to only be about the eight amazing boys who came and filled the stage with their light and love.

Jongdae near the end of the stage also saw it, laughed really hard, looked me in the eye and shook his head. I nodded my head vigorously and pointed at the sign. He laughed even harder and made an X with his arms. i fucking died.

before the last two stages aka my favourite exo songs ever (growl and LMR) they suddenly broke into the FUCKING DUBSTEP INTRO. oh my god holy shit i didn’t think it was real i actually lost my shit i didnt know where i was or who i am oh my god that intro so SO IMPORTANT

at the last ment i was so tired and enthralled at sehun’s handsomeness and I was also trying to understand what he was saying because he kind of eats his words a lot, so I was staring mouth wide open at him. my friends told me right after that xiumin apparently found my facial expression amusing because he laughed and told baekhyun and pointed at me, who also started laughing at me. my friends were hitting me to look at baekhyun but i didn’t really notice them so baekhyun was laughing even harder.

THE CONCERT

So I fastwalked my way across the GA floor which was really long and I spotted my friends at the railing and joined them so we were literally at the front, and thank god we were at the right side because that’s where sebaek always stand and I literally have never stood here before. They kept looping the SM audition video and everyone screamed for Lay’s video. We waited for another hour as the stadium slowly filled up and the lights didn’t go down until 8ish.

The first VCR came on and it was honestly pretty epic. I could actually read the subs this time and the story is actually really interesting, I’d be down to read a book like that if they ever wrote one. I also might have started tearing up.

THEN FINALLY the screens parted and they were there just standing there and oh my god. It still didn’t feel real but they broke into overdose and that was it i lost my shit

Overdose was all a blur, I can’t remember much until the next song History, when Baekhyun jumped out and did his line and dance move in the middle like OH MY GOD THIS IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING HE IS RIGHT THERE.

Their ment was funny they tried to do it mostly in English at first SUHO’S ENGLISH IS GOOD. Like he has an accent but he uses pretty good vocabulary and grammar structure like not what you’d expect. Kyungsoo killed me with his flawless accent as usual jfc. Baekhyun should just… omg. Why do I stan him omg he says stupid catchphrases and repeats what the translator says like thank you

at this point baekhyun had very noticeably looked at my light up sign that i made that says 백 (baek) like multiple times, i was right in front and standing in front of him during his ments it was impossible for him not to have seen it i just hope he appreciated it like WOW

MY ANSWER OH MY GOD. baekhyun bb is amazing to watch when he plays piano I cried a bit at how passionate he was. he pours his heart and soul into that instrument and was so into it.

i dont really remember a lot of the star/exodus/hurt except everyone was hot. peter pan was also kind of a blur too

xoxo was so much fun. still one of my favourite songs. i remember really aggressively shouting XO XO and chanyeols rap. so much fun ugh, and then LUCKY WAS RIGHT AFTER.

we need to talk about lucky okay. so this girl and i decided to lead the banner project and we worked really well together, we printed off 7500 encore banners but we decided to also print off 1000 banners to hold up during lucky. it says “춥죠? 라면 먹고 갈래요” (It’s cold, right? chen walked by right after and lost his shit, laughing so hard. then he looked at me and shook his head, then i nodded my head vigorously and he laughed even harder. he shook his head and crossed his arms into X like noooooo. oh my god best interaction

365 was so much fun too, honestly this section of TEL is always my favourite. i was doing the hand number signs and jumping as high as i could without getting squished it was great

Suho said it was too bad we weren’t together on christmas so he gave us another gift, christmas day. body rolls and suspenders and tight pants yes please.

I cried at MiD too but after a bit i had to hold it in because i didnt want them to see LMAO. omg do kyungsoo was right in front of me and i was just oh my god kyungsoo why just why

then came the rap stages which are always interesting LOL machine where they tell us to say 완벽한아름다운 was fun though. i was so hoarse by this point but fuck it. drop that then came on which is my FUCKING JAM. WE ARE! E X O!

i think around this point they had a ment?? and one step back became like a full fledged song lmao. kyungsoo sang one step back, two step back, counting up in perfect english what a fucking omg

okay so then they started to wrap up suho was like its our last songs guys!! and then there was a silence and baekhyun was like no its not. they all know its not, theres still the encore. i actually died LOL and then suho said if you say encore, we dont know what to do. i think this was the point where suho got sassy with baek saying “don’t cut me! don’t intercept!” what a cutie omg

then encore VCR came on and it was promise and i just got so emotional this was the only part where i actually sobbed like i broke down sobbing at the line where they were like “that time was hard for you guys too” like it FUCKING WAS and just the pain of the breakup was too much and all the sad memories came rushing back

then they came out and people pulled out the encore banners and i saw baekhyun and kyungsoo looking all around the stadium i guess just admiring the encore banner project and i felt so so proud like they were looking at MY hard work

sing for you was pretty lighthearted baekhyun was in a good mood

then they had one more ment where they talked about canada, chanyeol was like the streets are so clean and everyone here is beautiful and handsome (i like to think he was talking about me because that pit was like 99% girls), something something maple cookies. then baekhyun felt the need to chime in with “maple story?” i told him to shut up

baekhyun had a stupid gag during his ment where he was like im going to go now bye and hit the button on kai’s hat that said “ESC” and kai told him straight up 재미없다 youre not funny i related to kai on such a personal level that night. but i was just staring at him during everyone elses ment like he is so so so so so so SO SO SO S O S OS O OS SO SOOOOO HANDSOME like im not even okay right now he is 10000x times more handsome in real life and thats hard to believe from his pictures since hes already fucking hot.

they were going back stage at the end and baekhyun was being his usual dumb self having to be dragged off and i like to imagine he looked at me before finally going off stage, at the very least he looked in my general direction like watch the fancams im not lying

[160212 Exo’luXion in Vancouver] Pre-Concert Fan Account

so to sum up:

went to concert on 4 hours of sleep and only ate an egg and five pieces of sushi the whole day

fans loved the banners, especially the ramen ones

90% of volunteers were filipino. it was a family reunion

waiting outside in the cold and rain made me hate life and the rest of this fandom

lady at bag check and patdown took her job too seriously

I slept like four hours LMAO woke up at 5 and got last minute shit ready like the volunteer lists and stuff, since I was in charge of the fan banners project. I packed everything up and picked up my friends, I was driving a friend’s really heavy van but even then there were only room for 3 people because giant boxes of tshirts, hoodies and thousands of banners that I designed were sitting in the trunk and seats.

we got to the venue like six and a half hours early and started unloading. there were a handful of people there but by the time we set up people really started coming in. The banner distribution worked kind of well, it was organized but maybe too organized because not everyone was coming to pick it up, after a couple hours we literally just distributed encore banners to whoever. The ramen banners (they say It’s cold, right? Want to go eat ramen? -- Korean slang for inviting someone into your room) were also really cute and we spent like two hours sticking red heart stickers on all of them, they were super cute and everyone wanted them.

i swear like 90% of the volunteers were Filipino, including the girl with whom I led the banner project with. She was like “this feels like a family reunion” and i was like “im pretty sure I’m related to half of you” like seriously that was the most tagalog I’ve had to speak in a long time and since I’m almost the youngest in my family but most of the volunteers looked like they were in high school I have never been called “kuya” (tagalog for oppa) so many times in my life LOL

Fansite masters arrived a couple hours later and they were selling things kind of expensively, because of the shitty Canadian dollar right now, but luckily I got a free set of baek cards/polaroids from my new fansite friend that I sold my ticket to (Highlights). Her friend (Overflow) also gave me her mini-photobook for free. They were so kind ㅠㅠ I also bought a really nice cloth Baekhyun banner ahhhh

It was so hectic and I was scared we wouldnt be able to distribute all the banners after all that worrying that we would actually run out, but by 5pm we packed up and just gave stacks of banners to random people who said they would just hand it out in their seated sections haha. Bless all the people that helped out

I was in line by 515 and after a bit of arguing with the staff who told me it was just going to be first come, first serve anyway I got in line with my friend who was saving us a spot near the front. This was the worst part of the night, waiting outside in the cold and the rain, having to listen to casual fans near me who said they didn’t know how to pronounce their bias’s name like jfc

two of my other friends who i bought tickets with managed to get in line with me so we were all guaranteed a pretty close position to the front now. after waiting for about 1.5 hours they finally let my line go ahead, we were about 40 or so people from the front of the line?? At least we were under some sort of cover, but it was still right outside of the doors where the guards looked very happy and warm but also a bit scared at the prospect of having the bag check and patdown 2000 of these very unruly fans. they also had realyl confusing directions for where to go once inside but whatever. at least by this point we had our tickets checked and wristbands on, all that needed to happen was bagcheck and ticket scanning.

finally after like another half hour?? we were let in to the bag check. there were multiple lines and choosing a line is always a stressful experience for me because i always pick the slow one. my friends and i picked somehow two different ones. they breezed right there but the lady doing my patdown and bag check was SO. FUCKING SLOW. like literally ten people went ahead in other lines compared to one person for my line OMFG. then she looked at my bag and was like hmmmm im not too sure about this (because of MMTs ban on mid/large sized bags) but i just lied and said “oh they told me outside that its fine” and she was like oh okay then and then let me go

so once i was free from the slowest security guard on earth i fastwalked through the concourse and desperately tried to find my friends. luckily once i got into pit and flashed my wristband not a lot of people were there, and there was an open spot next to my friends so i fastwalked the fastest i could to get there and omg it was finally concert time.

160107 INFINITE EFFECT IN VANCOUVER

they say 7 is a lucky number and i know that my 7th time seeing infinite was definitely my luckiest, most favourite time ever.

so we got to the venue like over an hour early but all the fansites had already packed up so we didnt get any cool banners or merch or shit ㅠㅠ but anyway we were pretty far up in line because we saw a couple friends who had got there at like 230pm LOL

we went on in the venue size was just right, it was large enough to be impressive but small enough that everyone seats were still really close to the stage. I was in the fourth row but all the way at the end, which meant that there was no one in front of me because the stage curved around. 

they were playing a bunch of infinite videos and i couldnt relax so i kept walking around and talking to friends. finally it started and the seat next to me was empty so i told my friend to come sit next to me and we watched together it was great.

so the curtain went up and we could see their silhouttes projected onto the curtain and everyone lost their shit and then it started and then oh my god i can’t remember half of what happened.

firstly they’re all really good at dancing live, like i’ve forgotten infinite’s reputation as a top tier dance group. so synchronized and their moves are so sharp and deliberate. their first three songs, btd, paradise and be mine, were all me and my friends jams from high school so it was such a special experience UGH

then came the first ment and tbh the translator was kind of nervous or not used to this because she kind of kept mistranslating :( but its okay i was just listening to the korean anyway. at this point, i’m pretty sure dongwoo saw my sign for woohyun because i saw him mouth out “나무” and then look down and laugh. woohyun also glanced at my sign a couple of times but he was being too cool so he pretended not notice thanks woohyun

pretty soon people started giving zero fucks and everyone in the first few rows stood up and stood in front of the stage. security kept trying to move us back but they gave up after a while (shout out to the security guard who was rude af to me, called me out told me to move back but ignored everyone else who was standing up. thank you)

essentially by the halfway point the front of the stage became like a pit, i left my sign on my chair because it was too big and anyway they saw it already

the solo stages was where it got really crazy. woohyun was just rocking out, but then infinite H came on and they came UP TO THE EDGE and then MY FRIEND TOUCHED HOYAS HAND

then after that was sunggyu and then INFINITE F OH MY GOD. myungsoo is such an anime prince irl i cant even and SUNGYEOL IS SO FUCKING HOT. they were so interactive, myungsoo touched my hand. sungyeol came a couple minutes later, touched the hands of the people next to me and almost turned away then i yelled 형!! then he looked at me, looked a bit surprised (maybe because fanboy? lol) and then walked to me and GRABBED MY HAND. HIS GRIP IS SO FIRM OH MY GOD and the whole time he was looking at my eyes and smiling like i could just tell he was being sincerely genuine and happy to interact with us like oh my god i will fight anyone from now on who says sungyeol unnecessary HE IS SO FUCKING NECESSARY

then after a while i think it was nothings over or entrust i dont fucking remember but woohyun came out to our side of the stage, fucking ninja jumped onto the speaker and sat RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. im not even exaggerating, look at my fancam he is literally RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJtAQFUCsmE

but that was the best part of the night like he SAW ME and ACKNOWLEDGED ME and probably remembered me as the strange guy who saw him at the airport and then brought a fucking light up 나무 sign like oh my god. i just wanted to make an impression on him and i did. hes such a cutie ugh

understandably, i dont remember a lot of what happened after. woohyun kinda gravitated to the middle, sungyeol and L were on my side a lot. have i mentioned that myungsoo isnt human he’s like a manga drawing come to life, devoid of imperfections or blemish. he’s also stupidly childish playing with the curtain and teasing the fans.

i don’t really know what else to say like i just had an amazing time and the boys are all so amazing and sweet and hot and sexy and loving and they take good care of the fans and i just ugh

INFINITE AT VANCOUVER AIRPORT FANACCOUNT

where woohyun judges me (but still acknowledges my presence so)

okay so we got up at like 7am to get to the airport on time. we thought it was delayed so we took our time on the train but then IT WASNT so we go to the airport but we were actually still pretty early.

we waited for like an hour or so. the whole time i was getting progressively worse and worse. by the end of it I literally could not feel my hands, my chest felt really tight, my head felt dizzy. I was physically sick from nervousness. we had a pretty good spot though, right in front but away from the barriers so we could walk up to them and walk with them out.

then we heard the screams and the muffled attempts at the fans trying to control themselves. then all of sudden they were all there. dongwoo was in the lead, and he was so surprised and touched that there were so many fans (i’d say 100-150 showed up). then sunggyu trying to look cool, sungyeol walking down actually looking really cool, sungjong covering his face with a hat and then WOOHYUN. i walked right up to woohyun and kept repeating 형멋있어요! until he finally looked at me and nodded /dead. he was so judging me LOL. he was covered up in a hood and a mask but he was still gorg

we walked out to where their van was but at this point the fans started to swarm so i noped out and went back to wait for myungsoo and hoya who were held up for some reason.

L came out like five minutes after. he’s a freaking statue, not even human i swear. hoya came out shortly after, he and dongwoo were the only ones not wearing masks. hoya was shy but so cutely shy it wasn’t okay

all of them seemed tired but surprised at how many of us actually came to the airport, they took most of everyone’s gifts as long as they weren’t too big. such sweeties ;;
