“That’s the last of them,” he manages hoarsely, palm sinking into the muddy ground as he attempts to stand. Pain colors his visage at the effort, though, and he has no choice but to look to Seliph. “If you could... assist me, I would be grateful---”

lukas roaming through ruins infiltrated by terrors and cobwebs and shit: wow what i wouldn’t give to be curled up with a good book

He’s seemingly UNFAZED by the Terrors by now as their small group sneaks around dilapidated shrines, oblivious to the cut on his cheek inflicted by a gargoyle’s claws. Kliff and Faye have been hovering at his side between battles, and while he’s pretended not to notice, Lukas is exercising caution with his words---better to reassure than to subconsciously mutter something CRYPTIC, which he is apt to do if he doesn’t bite his tongue. Ruins do that to him sometimes. They’re not exactly his favorite place.

“I think we can breathe again,” he finally announces as they round a corner---dark eyes flit to Faye, kind, if not a bit clinical. “Faye, how are you holding up? I couldn’t help but notice you were battling alongside Python earlier...” And, well, he doesn’t need to say it, does he? the man is a lazy shot.
