I’ve been meaning to experiment with Mineways for ages, so here’s my current, ever-evolving base! I blueprinted the lighthouse in Blender as well. I’m kinda hopeless when it comes to planning things directly in Minecraft, hah. Architecture isn’t my strong suit.
This was a great project to break out of my comfort zone. I’ve never worked on lighting interiors and such like this before, and I’m so used to working with <2 meter tall models that this ~160 x 140 x 82 meter monstrosity was an experience to navigate.
I had to physically restrain myself from sticking a lamp to every single torch, lantern, and emissive block to light things accurately, but you see… Blender doesn’t take kindly to having thousands of lamps in a scene, and reality started to break down like ¼th of the way into it. So lots of simplified lighting and other cheats were used.
Lastly, I’m super proud of how that night sky came out :D

12 new year month-long challenge ideas
don’t buy “extra” stuff for a month 💸 - that means no shopping for clothes, no starbucks, no restaurant dates, no random pretty stationery. buy only what you truly need.
learn a language every day for a month 🌍 - there are tons of apps and recources out there meant to help you learn a new language. don’t give up after a week long streak, make it a month!
read (x) pages every day for a month 📖 - looking at my not-even-half-done goodreads challene makes me sad, so working on reducing my tbr list is one of my top priorities this upcoming year
watch a (short) documentary every day for a month 📽 - make a new folder on youtube and add all educational videos you think you’d find interesting to it. there are countless channels out there - crashcourse, it’s okay to be smart, kurzgesagt, ted-ed (…) with variety of amazing videos
study for (x) hours every day for a month 🧠 - it’s easy not to do anything school related when you have an exam-free week, but when the time comes, you might find yourself overwhelmed with work. try to study every day, but be mindful of your mental health.
meditate every day for a month 🧘 - find a good youtube meditation coach or install an app and use it. even if it’s only three minutes a day, it could make a big difference.
work out every day for a month 🏃 - other than working on your mental health, you need to take care of your physical health as well. a workout can be anything from a simple 5-minute stretch, to a 2-hour long gym session!
reach 10k steps every day for a month 🚶 - a lot of phones have pedometers pre-installed, but if your phone doesn’t, i truly recommend getting a step counting app. go out and get some fresh air! if it’s too cold outside, you can walk around in circles in your house
drink (x) liters of water every day for a month 💧 - pure water might not be everybody’s cup of tea (hah), but an actual cup of tea might be! if you don’t like drinking plain water, make sure to get enough of it via tea, coffee, soups…
eat vegeterian/vegan every day for a month 🥗 - if you decide to do this, make sure to get informed beforehand and see if this could cause you any health problems. if it’s safe for you, prepare to be met with a lot of advantages of this lifestyle!
no chocolate/added sugar for a month 🍫 - i had a bad habit of over-snacking on sweets, but cutting just chocolate or just added sugar led me to far healthier eating habits! you don’t have to give up both at the same time!
go to sleep early & wake up early every day for a month ⏰ - or at least get no more and no less than eight hours of sleep every night! but, for example, going to sleep at 10pm and waking up at 6am is what this challenge is aiming for.

A Guide to Audio Journaling
This past month (or longer, I think) I switched from regular, written journaling to audio journaling, and I thought it’d be great to share my experience: the practice, what I actually do, why I do it, and some things to think about if you wanna try it out.
I keep all my audio journals on the voice memos app on my phone, but if any of you know an alternate platform to do so, feel free to share!
Anyway, hope this helps, and as usual, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to send me a message or drop me an ask. Have an awesome week :)

I cannot stress this enough- Build a routine. Build Habits. Wake up every day and get used to being productive, one day at a time. Do this for long enough and eventually you’ll be at your goal without even realising it.

how to recharge if you’re feeling a little grey
(This happens to me a lot so this guide is mostly for myself)
1. Watch a movie that will make you cry
I have a few go-to sad movies: Ladybird, Pan’s Labyrinth, Perks of being a Wallflower, Alles ist gut, Saving Mr. Banks etc
2. Make your bed
Finished the movie? Stand up right now and use all of your strength to rip the blankets and pillows off of your bed. Now remake it so it looks extra inviting
3. Listen to your favourite album
I also have plenty of these to choose from: Egypt Station, All Things Must Pass, Tusk, Fandango, the Stranger, etc. Just whip out some headphones and zone out… or boogie!
4. Shower or clean your room
This part kinda sucks but feeling unclean or having an unclean space does a lot to your mentality, plus it’s pretty nice to slip into fresh clothes and wake up to a tidy room
5. Watch something that will make you happy
I tend to go with childhood faves like horrible histories or adventure time but sometimes I’ll just put on a concert or youtube playlist and that does the trick
6. Vibe
Very important step. It could mean anything from meditating in the dark to sketching in nature, as long as your mind is relaxed you are vibing
7. Distract yourself
Distractions from school, drama, or the rest of the world can be any of the above suggestions as well as; reading, painting, eating, talking, or dancing (and of course any hobbies you may have that don’t necessarily involve technology).

good to know:
the files are either .psd or .png
i did not make them with the idea of transforming them into CC pieces (so you might need to adjust size and other stuff)
i used CC 2015
not everything is pictured above
TOU:
basically do anything you want with them
but don’t change the nature of the design
and don’t be weird i guess
