Hello everyone! I am Darby and my boyfriend is Drew. We've been together for almost 11 months (except for a week long breakup) but have been talking/friends for going on our 4th year and are very happy together. The distance can be hard, but don't worry, you'll get through it and it is so worth it! Ask us questions or tell us anything!
Don't wanna be here? Send us removal request.

LDR 90 Day Challenge: Days 35 and 36
Day 35: What is your favorite thing to hear him/her say to you?
I love how when we facetime he almost always answers with, "Hey darlin'" with his "Maine drawl". It's just the cutest thing!
Day 36: Share the story behind one of your inside jokes!
Well Sprinkles is a magical unicorn that Drew has been instructed to get because unicorns are only attainable in a specific cave in the side of a mountain by a girl's boyfriend. Sprinkles would allow us to teleport to each other for free and be a great companion for when we aren't together. So he's working on getting Sprinkles xD

LDR 90 Day Challenge: Days 31-34
Day 31: Describe his/her personality in 6 words!
Darby about Drew: caring, hard working, sarcastic, manly, pessimistic at times but not in a bad way, and very full of life (I know that was more than 6 words oops)
Drew about Darby: caring, sweet, passionate, innocent, bubbly, and energetic
Day 32: How are you able to afford trips to see each other? Do you find this aspect of the relationship challenging?
Well Drew works full time and I save up any money I get, so I can pay either for plane tickets for him or the meals and things when he's here, but not both. It isn't a limiting factor for us since we don't have to cross oceans or anything but it is something we have to take into account.
Day 33: Post a photo of something sweet they’ve messaged you/mailed you!
Drew once texted me, "I want to wake up and see the thing I love, I love you and always want to be with you. That's what counts babe, if I died tomorrow I could be content looking back on my life knowing that you loved me and that I was yours. I want, no need, you in my life, you're worth more than any other girl to me, love."
Drew doesn't keep a bunch of screenshots of cute messages like I do so he didn't have a specific one but his bday present made him tear up today so I'll go with that. It was a deck of cards with 52 things I love about him :)
Day 34: What are some negative impacts you feel distance has made on your relationship?
Well, we both constantly worry that the other isn't going to like each other in person. I especially worry that he won't think I'm as pretty or anything but he actually sent me the sweetest message today that made me feel so much more reassured and made me cry! It's also just really hard to not be able to hug each other and cuddle and kiss and be a part of each other's daily lives. But honestly, even though it's hard, it isn't unbelievably challenging or anything.

So lovebirds, I’m officially married to the best man ever. HOWEVER, Everything that we expected to go right went completely wrong.
The original plan was to get married at the minister’s house with a small, intimate ceremony and then to later go to the beach and meetup with family and friends.
Unfortunately there was a car accident or something and it lead us to be in an hour’s worth of traffic. Don’t forget to add the fickled rain that Alabama likes to bring…
But between those two factors, we were unable to get to our ceremony in time. We informed the minister about two hours ahead of time that we may have been late getting there. So once we let him know about the traffic and everything, he was pretty cool about it! My now husband had called him since I was panicking and my cell had died, and the minister was kind enough to marry us at the beach like we both always wanted instead! Weeks before all of this was taking place, we both teased that the other would cry during the ceremony! I had talked SO MUCH crap. I kept saying how he would be the first to crack and etc. Lo and behold, I cracked first. I was so embarrassed! But I wasn’t ashamed to show my feelings for once. He ended up tearing too but only I could see it. I was so mad. lol Afterwards we were able to take a few nice photos thanks to our family!
Little did we know though that during this entire ceremony, there were two rainbows in the sky! I mean it was amazing! The sun was setting, the waves crashed, the wind blew furiously and we had many loved ones there that meant a load to us.
I mean there’s more to the story, but I’m far too lazy to really go into it at the moment. I might make a video to go a bit more into detail later.
We still have a long way to go in our journey together, but every single effort we make together has been worth it. I can’t wait to share more of our milestones together as we reach them.

LDR 90 Day Challenge: Days 29 and 30
Day 29: Do you remember what you were both wearing the first time you video chatted (or saw each other)?
I was wearing like pjs because I was home sick, so probably a sweatshirt with a tee shirt and pj pants. I don't think Drew was wearing a shirt or pants because he had just woken up, so he was just in boxers haha. Not much has changed, that's still what we wear (or don't wear) when we facetime.
Day 30: If you two could go anywhere in the world together where would it be and why?
Hmm, Disney World because it's my favorite place ever and he hasn't been before. He wants to see if all the little things are true and what all the fuss is about.

Actually, yes I can.
Don’t ever let someone attempt to dictate who you can or cannot love. Unless it’s illegal or morally wrong, it’s none of their business.

So I thought I’d share my new Lilly Pulitzer planner in case anyone was interested in more pictures than what is shared online.
Mine is 7.5"x9" and has a covered spiral in the Lobstah Roll pattern.
The first page is stickers, then a year view of 2016 and 2017. After that is the month view from August 2015 until December 2016. Following those pages, is a section on “Dates to Remember” (Each of the 12 months is listed with lines below each to write). Then one of my favorite parts is the “Escape Plan Next Adventure”. There are 4 of these pages and each has a place to write in your itinerary, packing list, and activities & excursions. There is also a relatively standard “Numbers and Address” section followed by several blank lined pages for notes.
Then the regular planner part starts starting with August 2015. So you get the month view for every month twice, once in the very beginning for quick reference then again later on when you get the weekly sections as well. The week pages are spacious, every other page has 3 days and the others have 4 (the weekends).
Every page has a different Lilly pattern and is beautifully decorated. I read some reviews that people didn’t like this year’s stickers but I thought they were adorable! Normally I get plain fairly inexpensive calendars but I decided to splurge this year. Plus, since it’s a year and a half, I can use this through first semester of college so I can figure out what method is best for college.
I definitely recommend the covered spiral if this will be going in and out of a backpack or any other bag.
Overall Rating: 9/10 just because the pattern I really really wanted didn’t come in the covered spiral option.

Cute Date Ideas
•Go out to breakfast. See if theyre a french toast person or a pancake person. •Have a movie date in your backyard with a projector and a white sheet. •Go to a park and play on the swings. Bring candy. •Go to a pet store to play with puppies. I’d marry a person on the spot if they offered this date. •Go to the beach at night and take pictures of the moon. Also take pictures of your date while they arent looking. Its romantic, fuckers. •Hop on the train and go exploring. This works if you live in a big city. Try not to get too lost. •Wait for a rainy day. Have a picnic in one of your living rooms. Clear the furniture and lay out a blankie. Be careful not to spill stuff. •Go to the library. Get library cards together if you dont already have them. Pick one book for the other to read.
