My favorite Bowie era/decade is definitely 90s Bowie. He REALLY found himself in this decade, and it showed so much.

He found Iman (she found him, really), AND he experimented with different music. Earthling is his most underrated album. He also stopped drinking (in '93), and later in the early 2000s became smoke-free. Iman saved this man's LIFE.

You could just tell he was genuinely in a good place during this time (and after).

NOW his most iconic moment is DEFINITELY a knack between the one time during his Sound+Vision tour he got pissed (at a number of different things on stage) and just flung his guitar like an NBA player.

And possibly his mugshots. His mugshots are my favorite thing from '76; he looks so GOOFY when he was smiling at the camera in some of the pictures.
