spoiler warning (jujutsu kaisen): I never hear anyone talk about the fact that it wouldn’t have mattered if Yuji ate Sukuna’s finger or not. Yuji’s mom was Kenjaku. He was created for the very purpose to serve as a vessel. This means his fate from the very start, from before he was even born was already decided. That’s a really big part I feel like people never realize in the story since I always see people saying he could’ve been happy if he hadn’t eaten the finger, but that’s simply not true.

JJK manga theory (spoiler warning): I have a theory. I don't know if anyone else thought the same, but remember the scene where gojo got caught, but before he was sealed, he called out getou’s name, and kenjaku (the one using getou’s body) had a reaction to it? Similar to when sukuna first took over Yuji's body in the first episode, and Yuji took control back and grabbed his own face? That’s precisely what happened to kenjaku, as if getou’s is still in there somewhere. This reminded me getou is posing as a vessel for kenjaku. I think at some point in the manga getou is going to make a comeback and get control of his body again. I don’t think he will be present for long though. I think he’s gonna get killed for good this time along with kenjaku.
