I finally established contact with the tree. I acknowledged it's whispers in my dreams and asked for a nut for magic. After whispering to/through the nut last night I then had a dream about murdering someone in front of the tree and making them a sacrifice to it (the dream-murder was actually sort of in self defense and desperation but you know... Waste not want not and all that).

Then I had another dream where I was having a conversation about the ancient, sacred origins of the walnut. While conversing I was shelling walnuts and prepping them. I was also eating the hulls, which were absolutely delicious.

Nervously, I pull from the tarot deck. It's the Nine of Clocks. My fate is revealed to me: It's my bedtime, and I gotta go to sleeps

Me, explaining to my partner they we need to whisper to the walnut: no okay, listen... The walnut is like.. a phone that only calls one number, it lets us talk to the tree and the tree wants us there and it said we can have the nut for magic anyways. We gotta whisper to the nut.
