updated bailey reference sheet!!

rambling under the cut

I adore Bailey and his ongoing comic-run, so rather than retconning a character I like I've just made my own sort of spider-au for him and pete :] deadpool is there too but im yet to draw him.

His backstory is nearly identical to his original one - except the whole "everyone forgetting" thing never happened. Instead, Bailey was found and rescued from Madame M. by Peter, who was unable to save any of the other kids or Bailey's mum. It weighs pretty heavily on Peter that he failed to save everyone; breaking into Madame's lab was the first genuinely heroic act he'd done and it's what convinced him to use his powers only for good.

Bailey stays with Peter and May, who do their best to take care of a kid who lost everything. Despite it all, Bailey is still an excited adrenaline seeker and is stoked to be working with THE Spider-Man and learning to control his new spider-powers. Pete is like a big brother to Bailey. Can you tell I adore the found family trope.

Me, wise, enlightened: Not so, neophyte. Have you considered all the exhaustive possibilities in which one of these characters simply has no idea what they are talking about, or better yet, is a fucking liar?
