063015// A day at the museum

I know this post is already a month late from the day of my birthday but I'm really trying hard to be more active again on my blog because of all the life events that's happening to me right now, and being unemployed is no joke! Its really hard to find a decent work now a days.

I spend a semi-spontaneous day at Pinto Art Museum last 29th of May which is my 20th Birthday with a newly found friend, he's the one who lead the way going to the museum because locating the museum is quite a challenge so I'm really thankful and lucky because I have a guide and company through out the day. To visit a museum is part of my 2015 Bucket-list and Pinto Art Museum is definitely one of the many, I've been into arts since I was in grade school (but I'am not an art major, I wish) so art museums is like a secret hideout place for me. I literally fell in love with the place the moment I set foot on its ground, definitely the most worth it (P180) I spend in my life!

Luckily when we got in the first gallery I asked someone if we can be guided in the museum not knowing that he's one of the guides in there hahaha so after we got he's approval he started talking about all the exhibited paintings and sculptures in all 6 galleries and indeed there is a lot more to discover on this more than one hectare museum. I did not expect that the gallery was that huge! The museum galleries has a lot of art pieces from the classic techniques to more post-contemporary and modern works from different Filipino artist in various media-painting and unique installations. My favorite artwork would be Karnabal which is done by various artist known as “Salingpusa”, it has a more deeper meaning and unified chaos from what you can visually see, that piece had me staring for minutes! It actually dwarfs anyone who’ll stand beside the paining because of how huge it is in real life!

The place is definitely worth a visit whether you're a hardcore art-enthusiast or not. We find it really relaxing after we leave the museum because that place is really a perfect place to unwind and be imaginative, its a quick escape from all the negativity in the city life, We would stay there forever if we could hahaha!

022115// LOST IN PARK SQUARE

Graduation is more than a month away and I'm still here having my practicum in airlines and f&b instead of finishing all of the reports, urgh this means more cramming for deadlines and final requirements for the next few weeks. This shoot happened few weeks ago when me and my blogger besties decided to have a quick shot around Ayala, I've been so outdated with my blog post lately because of my airline duty and events and friday is the only time I can update my blog because that is the only day I can go home to Laguna and face my computer to write about stuffs, lazy blogger over here I'm seriously sorry for that (I'll try my best to be more updated after graduation). Oh forgot to mention that tomorrow will be my last day at Qatar airways, feeling bitter sweet because finally I can start again my practicum at Harbor View beside Ocean Park but I will surely miss QR team especially Ma'am Joy and Sir Gil that made a huge impact in my life, feeling the separation anxiety already :( its really hard to say goodbye once you're already attached to those person that you look forward seeing everyday and make fun of little stuff, I'm so thankful to have met the both of you and saying my goodbye would be the hardest , I will surely miss you both and will forever treasure all the memories and lessons you've taught us (I'm such a crybaby whenever this kind of stuff happens).

Enough with the drama, been feeling kinda Brandy Melville/American Apparel that day and thanks to Fashion Toast Manila, I'm able to pull off the whole look because of their AA inspired cities bag that I've been using almost everyday, and by the way the Plaid Skirt that I'm wearing is something that I own more than 10 years ago, I used to wear this during my elementary days and it was used to be a knee length skirt by then and it actually surprised me when I'm sorting out my stuff last December searching for clothes that I'll be donating, I saw my favorite skirt once again and I'm in shock because it still fits to me perfectly after I try it out hahaha (but now its way more shorter). How I wish they'll bring Brandy Melville and American Apparel here in the Philippines (Two of my fave American brands that I've been stalking for ages), my life would be complete by then, right girlies I know you can feel me? :)

012115 // An Encounter with The 1975 //

The 1975 British indie rock band hit up Manila for their second time after their successful mall tour last March 2014, which I attended every single one of them, even the meet and greet at ATC wherein I waited 10hrs just to see them for the very first time! Yes I'm a big fan of The 1975 ever since I heard Girls and Chocolate more than 2yrs ago.

So when we arrived at the MOA Areana around 6:20pm there are lots of young blood fans beside the backstage entrance waiting for the boys, so we just decided to go straight ahead to the venue. The first thing that I saw when I entered the arena  is the seats, like wtf! its a freaking rock band why are there sits all over! (Yea I know the VIP section has assigned seats, but who watches a rock band do their thing while sitting?!) Me and my concert buddy/Bestie Kim were supposed to be seated at Row R which is soooooo far behind the stage like I could barely see the equipment on the stage, so while sitting on our assigned seats there are some girls screaming beside the stage so everybody started running towards the stage, but luckily we got the most amazing view while standing front row on the seats the whole time (Oh did I mention that I'm beside Anne Curtis before the concert starts because I'm seating on her assigned seat hahaha). the band arrived late because it was supposed to start 8pm but they arrived around 9 in the evening. Starting off with the city, the band was unstoppable! I sang my heart out the whole time especially during Girls, Chocolate, Sex, Robbers, She Way Out and Heart Out (My favorites) while my baby Matty looking extra dreamy and sexy while singing on the stage wearing an half-open shirt and skinny ripped jeans with his bottle of wine and cigarette. I fell more in love with him when he started singing fallingforyou and Is there somebody who can watch you, its way more freaking better live than the studio version, like swear I started tearing up like shit that time. And Yes! I'm one of the girls who screamed "We want Sex" during the concert but I already know that they will play it last just like the last time so I just screamed with the crowd. The overall experience was PRICELESS, the boys were amazing and my PCD is still not yet over! It hit me hard this time, way way more hard than the last time :(

After posting my picture with Matty on my instagram account the next morning after the concert, many of my followers and friends asked me how the hell did I enter the airport. First thing is that, I worked as an ojt at NAIA 1 as an PSA under Qatar airways so it's easy for me to get to the pre-departure area because I have my uniform, but sadly my Duty pass is only allowed at the NAIA Terminal one, good thing my daddy works in The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) and they have passes everywhere in the airport anytime, but that pass is only for the company use, good thing my daddy let me borrow his pass after I beg for it when I found out their flight  (Yes, he supports me with my Fan girling stuff even though I'm too old for this shit). I went to NAIA with only 2hrs of sleep trying my luck to see the boys right after the concert, I was seating there at the pre-departure area beside the Mabuhay Lounge because I have a strong feeling that they will stay there before their departure, and I was right! I can feel the butterflies all over my stomach the whole time I'm waiting and then I saw them walking in front of me, I can hardly stand and breathe from where I sit because I'am so stunned that they're already approaching towards where I sit, then I walked straight ahead to Matty hugging his big white Pillow if they can sign my album, I was literally shaking the whole time that I was talking to them about their concert and how amazing they are that night and gave Matty a Philippine Flag keychain, after the small talks and album signing, I asked the boys if I can have a group photo with them, so after the first shot I asked Matty "Can you...." without finishing my sentence because I'm so speechless and shaking because his face is right in front of mine, he replied "Oh you want me to kiss you" with his super sexy British accent, then I replied with a super gigil smile then he kissed me for like 5 seconds feeling his super soft lips on my upper left cheek on the second group shot that why I look so kiligs. I feel like I'm dreaming the whole time because what happened that morning is so unbelievable and unexpected, I feel so lucky knowing that I'm the only fan waiting for them at the pre-departure area and wait for them to board at the aircraft so that I can say my final goodbye and thanks for their visit here in the Philippines, and they replied me with a very warm smile and George winked at me before he boarded, my heart just melt that whole entire moment. Best Weekend of my life! :) already looking forward for their comeback after the second album, will wait for them again at the airport at the arrival area next time.

010515 // SOUTH SIDE

First of all I want to great all of you a very Happy New Year! Its time to bid another year farewell! Let's face 2015 with a game face on ladies with 12 new chapters and 365 days of new chances! (oops -5 days because today's Jan. 5 already)

This shoot happened more than two weeks ago, I've been super busy with some of our family activities lately that's why It's hard for me to find time in blogging. 

It's the first time for me and some of my squad to go South Side (Alabang) because most of the time we do our shoots around Ayala or Bonifacio Global City. Alabang is only 30min away from our residence if you'll take a van from plaza Pacita going to Alabang Town Center, and it's much more convenient for my co-blogger JD because she's living somewhere in Alabang. On the other hand, JP and Kas came all the way from the north, which took them an hour and 30 before they got to atc. JP bought us some of his sweets from his sponsors and made us such a happy kiddos because it's free and who can't say no to free sweets?! Paired with my fave Starbucks coffee! Street style has always been my favorite look from our past shoots, seeing lots of basic style and laid-back looks, I think street style has become a timeless phenomenon in today's generation. If you notice I've been wearing a lot of crop tops from @murashopph (IG) lately, I know I'm not sexy or anything, but whatevvv, screw what other people say, it's all about the confidence baby!

Flannel action takes place for this all black head to toe outfit, a fashion statement that can never go wrong! Been mad for this timeless trend of wrapping oversized plaid flannel and denims around my waist (yup I know its too mainstream) as you can see from my previous outfit post on instagram before I start in these blogging scene. Plaids can be the perfect print to help you pull your entire outfit together and perfect for any street style looks that can work for any season!

I bought this black and white oversize flannel from Local Celebrity Manila before Bloggers United because I've been planning to wear this for that said event but unfortunately I had a last minute change of outfit, and my red flannel needs to take a break because I've been wearing it for like gazillion times already ghad!

Believe it or not, I only bought this sneakers for only 300 pesos, more great and cheap finds at Fashion Market, Market Market!

121614 // Formally Informal

I should have blogged this outfit post about a week ago, but I'm too busy with my operational duty at NAIA Terminal 1, Yes I'm now an apprentice under Qatar Airways! (One of my dream airline next to Emirates) Thank God I passed that interview and got qualified in what they called, five-star airline in the aviation industry, and it's much more fun knowing that I'm with my two soul sisters Kim and Mae who's also my roomies for the past month (I'm now staying at the Airport Village beside NAIA 1). I find it hard to blog right now because of my schedule and I'm always dead tired after my duty because of non-stop assistance to the passengers till they board the aircraft. I swear being a passenger service agent is no joke, you'll be needing a lot of patience and understanding while on duty but still, it's always nice to anticipate and meet new people everyday from different walks of life and to socialize with them and share their life stories with me (makes me feel that I'm really trustworthy).

So is there any reason not to stay all black?

I don't think so! After all, I've tried a lot of mix and match before I finally came up with this black on black outfit for Bloggers United last week. Color black has been my true friend which never let me down , it always flatter any body shape and size, truly timeless and will forever look expensive. So when in doubt, trust the power of BLACK and it will be one of your winning fashion decision.

The biggest fashion blogger gathering in the metro happened last December 7, 2014 at Whitespace, Makati, Bloggers United 8, partners with the #1 online buy and sell platform in the country, OLX.ph, for a grand holiday fiesta. 

It's actually my first time to go to such event, and knowing that I'm with my squad makes it more remarkable and exciting at the same time, after weeks of preparation of what ootd to wear (The struggle is real) and doubts because of Super Typhoon Ruby, thank God for the not so sunny weather that day, even though Metro Manila is under Signal No. 1 (Yeah, we're that unstoppable)

So as you can obviously see we're all wearing mostly Black and White ensemble. It's funny because even the bloggers on the said event asked us if we all planned to wear all monochromatic outfits, and after we told them that this was not planned at all they just laugh and told us it was so cool!

Writing this, I feel as If I’ve never blogged my whole life. Everything seems to feel new yet familiar.

Way back second year high school, I used to blog using Multiply but because I’m not that active and I don’t have much stuff to talk about, I decided to just stop writing.

Recently, a lot of people have been asking me if I blog. Of course I tell them right away that I’m not a blogger and that I’m sort of “too occupied” with my studies. But every time I answer them, it always leaves a question in my head.. “Why Shouldn’t I?” then one night a realization hit me, as fast as a bullet, it gave me an idea that I should definitely make my way back to blogging. I weren’t able to start as soon as I could because I really have no idea how or where to begin. But there’s this friend that I met who has been very helpful since day one. Truly grateful to my co-blogger jpborromeo for making my layout super rad and for making this first ever entry possible! I owe you a lot!

Three weeks ago, November 6 to be exact, was when I met my IG friends for the first time. We decided to meet in Greenbelt in the afternoon. When I saw them, I felt shy and a bit pressured (knowing that I’m the only one who does not blog AND I’m not sure If I could relate with whatever they’ll talk about and wouldn’t feel the struggle most of them experience like: Blogger’s Duties/OOTD Problems). After few minutes of introduction, we started walking around Greenbelt to find a good place where we could start shooting. We ended up in McKinley Hill because there were some restrictions and we have no permit to shoot in certain areas.

3 words, “Black, White and Denim” I never play with any colors whatsoever. I always like to look neat and basic yet cohesive. Not over a year ago I decided my uniform would be mostly monochromatic palette because I think that suits my personality best because I’ve always had a great love for Indie Rock music and that heavily influenced my choices in style.

I’m starting to love this Black Romper from iloveGreenlaneshop (IG) you can visit their store at Cartimar, Pasay City and their Timog Branch (Ushio Plaza 1) which is newly opened.
