I only just started watching this show back in 2011 (when I also just started working). It became a big part of me maybe because it was there when my life "leveled up." In the training room at work, we used to watch HIMYM episodes along with some movies whether in our laptops or the office's projector :P What really got me interested in the show is that I get to see what life is like in the mid 20s and beyond... kudos to the cast of HIMYM!
