most of you, if you were raised in the west as an athiest, are culturally christian. if you think christmas is a secular holiday, you're culturally christian. jews, muslims, buddhists, and hindus as a larger community don't celebrate christmas because we have our own practices and holidays which aren't christian.
it's not inherently a bad thing to be culturally christian, it's just a product of the way you were raised.
anyway, let's get to some of my FAVORITE (!!) quotes from the notes:
"Whenever I talk to Jews about religion, they seem to basically imply that Atheism is a form of negative Christianianity"
nope, we are saying that your view of atheism is influenced by Christianity because you grew up surrounded by Christianity. when you say you can celebrate Christmas secularly, that's your cultural christianity talking.
2) "Victimhood is just so baked into their religion that it's barely worth talking to them"
oh fuck off
3) Their religion is irrelevant outside of Israel and a few other places anyways, since they're a fairly small religion
and yet!! you're SO FUCKING OBSESSED WITH US!!!! 0.2% of the world's population and we live RENT FREE in your mind.
4) Honestly, you can't expect much from people who think the PALESTINIAN FLAG is ANTISEMITIC
i mean the "palestinian" flag was used while terrorists committed the most antisemitic attacks against jewish people since it was invented in the '60s.
5) And if you're from a predominantly Islamic country, they'll say that Islam is anti-Jewish
islam has antisemitism baked into the religion because antisemitism was trending at the time. can't even discuss THAT apparently. (antisemitism is trending all the time for the last several thousand years, but that's a different discussion)
6) And to top it off, they want to impute the logic: Christians: evil, who do not know how to read the scriptures versus Jews: good, who know how to read the scriptures .
oH FUCK OFF. you don't know what you're talking about anyway. y'all are atheists, but are so ready to defend christianity when it means you get to hate the jews.
anyway reason 48953489 why culturally christian athiests are 100x worse than actual christians.
