He implies she's worth building something new with, next thing we know he's wearing a more revealing outfit with her signature X doodled all over his body. Good for him!
Also, between this scene and the moment they show up in battle, they've apparently had the time to: - turn her entire lab/hideout into a blimp - cover the whole thing in giant tags of the firelights symbol, her cloud tatoos, and more - rebuild pow pow and fishbones, which were very much broken in act 2 - rally the firelights - cut and dye her hair - crop his top - pierce his ears - sew her a shark hoodie - cover her entire body in crayon drawings - accessorize their outfits - again, turn her lair, a giant airshaft, into a functional blimp
Maybe Ambessa gave her entire army the week off before battle. Maybe Jinx and Ekko were on unfathomable amounts of cocaine. We'll never know

And then I noticed that jinx’s balloon she flies in on has bunny ears painted on it. And markings on the side to match her little goggles
Pain. Suffering even

No because what do you mean they were best friends as kids and Ekko had a crush on her, and then he tries to ‘rescue’ her from Silco but she doesn’t want to go with him and they end up on opposing sides as enemies and he insists that ‘Powder is gone, only Jinx is left’ but he paints a mural for Powder as one of the people they’ve lost and when he has the chance to kill her he can’t bring himself to do it because he still cares about her and she tries to blow them both up because she views death as mercy and wants to die with him and then he gets sent to another universe where she’s still Powder and he falls in love with her all over again and he goes back to his universe convinced he can save her and he has to watch her kill herself over and over again before managing to convince her to live and join the fight and they do and he wears her paint and then she just… dies anyways and now he’s lost her for like, the NINTH TIME
Arcane writers you will start coughing in 10 days

Timebomb Preparing for War
Ekko: Should we head over to Piltover now or let them suffer for a bit? *Both laugh* Ekko: Okay, serious question this time – what do you want me to draw on you?

Had a friend that watches arcane and I was talking to her about the new episodes. When I started talking about how much I love timebomb She said she hated the ship and okay, you can have your own opinions, but she said the only reason she didn't like it was because it was straight. Like WHAT. A SHIP DOESN'T HAVE TO BE QUEER TO BE GOOD (even if that can be the case in some scenarios)

I’m sorry but I will truly never get over Ekko who lost his mentor and all his friends at a young age, then spent the rest of his childhood building a beautiful and strong community that helped get shimmer addicts off the streets and give them a new life that thrived off of trust, respect, and loyalty while slowly watching the girl he loves lose herself to her psyche and become an unhinged suicidal terrorist who he is unable to save despite repeated attempts at it. And THEN gets booted into an alternate reality where he learns he could have had EVERYTHING, the beautiful and thriving community, the education, his family, and the girl he loves and he heartbreakingly leaves it all behind because he knows he doesn’t belong there and he has to go back to save his people which he DOES multiple times at great risk despite knowing what overextending his z-drive could do only to end up completely alone in the end. The most selfless character in the entire series. That’s my boy savior.

I liked alot of the music in season two but I will NOT listen to Wasteland. I sincerely hope anyone else with suicidal tendencies takes precautions when re-watching episode 9 because holy shit. I can't even look at gifs without getting massively fucking upset. I'm getting war flashbacks to 13 reasons why 😑

This scene reminded me of that little dance scene between Harry and Hermione. It's such a simple scene but that's what makes it so powerful. Amidst chaos and war, a scene where two characters who struggle through trauma can have a short moment of happiness is so refreshing and that's why this is one of my favorite episodes of the series.
