Southern funerals are the worst.

My grandfather died in a horrible, sudden way last week. We had an open casket visitation today.

I don’t understand how having the corpse of your deceased relative on display makes things any better on either end. It’s morbid, horrific, and heartbreaking. I’ve never cried so hard in front of a group of people.

TL;DR I had an anxiety attack at night 1 of my grandpas funeral. His wife is a sociopath and quite possibly a gold digger. I just want my grandpa back and all of this unneeded drama to go away.

I’ve been of legal drinking age for over 4 years now. I’ve had many nights where I’ve drank a whole bottle of wine. I’ve had nights where I had one too many STRONG Moscow mules. I’ve done many shots of tequila.  But - for the first time - I did like 2.5 shots of vodka in rapid succession last night + sipped another drink that had I think 2 additional shots of vodka. Now I have my v first hangover. not worth it. never doing it again. I will remain a grandma and NEVER DRINK IN EXCESS EVER EVER AGAIN.

So I just got a job working as a marketing coordinator for an online business coach. Not only is it a mix of all of my favorite things, but it’s a remote work position. I’m replacing my husband and I’s previous income. I don’t feel like I’m worthy of this if I’m being honest. I applied for the job as a “HOLY CRAP that would be amazing if I got it but I probably won’t” kind of thing.

I just am in this weird place of being extremely happy but I’m equally confused. Like... I didn't graduate college. I don’t deserve this. But somehow I have it? Gah. Not trying to be braggy. I’m just a bucket of emotions and I don’t know what I’m feeling.

Legally a house can be haunted and failure to disclose that the property is haunted can constitute fraudulent misrepresentation and is grounds for recession of contract. Meaning poltergeists are legally treated the same as termites or other pests.

This sounds like a cryptid post but this is actual U.S. case law. 

The issue came up in a case where a family bought a house and later discovered it was on a ghost tour. The buyer had no way of knowing the house was haunted since that’s no something buyer’s usually ask, but the previous owner knew and should have disclosed it. Since the owner had reported paranormal activity in both local and national publications describing at length how  haunted the house was court decided he couldn’t very well say there’s no such thing as ghosts now.

This resulted in legal president that recognizes the existence of haunted houses. Also the court’s opinion is probably the most entertaining legal opinion you will ever read.
