Super classist to suggest eating beans instead of meat btw. Not at all classist to suggest buying genuine leather though, because genuine leather is super cheap and really easy for everyone to get it secondhand.

When I was a kid I read a ton of books that were definitely not appropriate for my age. One of two things would happen:
I was too inexperienced to understand what I was reading, and it had no effect on me.
I understood what I was reading, and I leveled up.
#also plenty of books i started reading as a kid and upon getting to the age inappropriate stuff going 'gross' and closing it#and like. that also had basically no effect on me. i saw some words i didn't like and i chose to not look at them any more#visual media definitely has more potential to fuck a kid up

There's an EU initiative going on right now that essentially boils down to wanting to force videogame publishers with paid games and/or games with paid elements such as DLC, expansions and microtransactions to leave said games in a playable state after they end support, or in simpler terms, make them stop killing games.
A "playable state" would be something like an offline mode for previously always online titles, or the ability for people to host their own servers where reasonably possible just to name some examples.
I don't think I need to tell anyone that having something you paid for being taken from you is bad, which is a thing that routinely happens with live service and other always online games with a notable recent example being The Crew which is now permanently unplayable.
Any EU citizen is eligible to sign the initiative, but only once and if you mess up that's it. You can find it here. (https://citizens-initiative.europa.eu/initiatives/details/2024/000007_en)
Even if you're not European or you signed it already, you can share this initiative with anyone who is, even if they don't care about videogames specifically because this needs a million signatures and there is different thresholds that need to be met for each EU country for their votes to even count and could also be a precedent for other similar practices like when Sony removed a bunch of Discovery TV content people paid for.

new commission prices!
you can dm me here or email [email protected] if you're interested
details under the cut
reblogs appreciated <3
here's the basic pricing for a single character illustration:
-heads up/bust/icon: $30
-waist up: $40
-full body: $50
if you want multiple characters in the same illustration, each additional character after the first is half price (ex: I would charge $60 for an illustration of two characters from the waist up).
If you want a simple abstract backdrop, that's free. I'm not gonna charge you to bucket fill a rectangle or throw up a gradient or what have ya.
If you want an illustrated background, I charge on a sliding scale of $15-40 depending on how complicated the composition of the full piece is going to be. Tell me what you have in mind and we can figure something out
On that note, if you are looking for art that doesn't really slot into the way I charge (for example if you're looking for a logo design or background art for animation or something) please get in touch with me and I'll give you a quote. The pricing model I'm using is very loosely based on how many hours of work I expect to be spending on a given piece, and because most people want character illustrations that's the example I use. Doesn't mean you can't ask me for other stuff
I don't draw porn and I reserve the right to turn down commissions for any reason. Aside from that I really don't have any hard and fast rules about what I will and will not draw. Generally when I turn down commissions it's because it's outside my wheelhouse and I don't feel like I'm a good fit for the project. In those cases I generally try to recommend another artist who's a better match
I accept payments through PayPal. I will be sending you an invoice at the start of the project. Payment is up front if it's under $50. If it's over $50 you can send me half up front and the rest on completion if you'd prefer.
Thank you!
