just finished reading all 3 books of Octavia Butler's xenogenesis series. what a sinister series. it's interesting, it's uncomfortable, it's all an analogy.
#the books are on the shorter side for books in the sci-fi genre and I feel they aren't as dense either so i feel its an easy entry series#theres gender stuff theres colonisation theres the question of consent brought up again and again#theres genetics theres what feels like racial analogies and eugenics#theres alien sex#theres a lot in this series#so yeah its interesting its uncomfortable its encroaching#book tag
