Halloween Shopping {Dazai Osamu}

A/n: thank you for requesting and I hope you like it. Sorry for taking so long to write this. I took the liberty to make this Halloween themed since it's October and I love Halloween.

Pairing: Dazai Osamu x reader

You would have thought that after a year of dating each other, Dazai would have gotten used to your shy and laid back nature. In reality, it was the exact opposite. Even though that man had an amazing memory, it always seemed that he would forget that you were not this extremely outgoing and blunt person. In his defense, seeing you and getting to hang out with you always felt like meeting you for the first time. He would learn something new about you everytime.

"Look at those cute little mugs." You said with a smile. If he didn't know how soft your voice was, Dazai wouldn't have heard you at all. He stopped walking and looked at the aisle you were about to walk towards. "They look so cute. Do you want to buy matching ones?"

The question was stupid really. Dazai would never say no to you, not when you were smiling so preciously at the ghost and pumpkin mugs. He wasn't one for matching things but this?

"Why ask? I'll take the ghost one!" He didn't make a move to take it from the shelf because he wanted to see you do it. He loved every move you made which terrified him; not once in his life had he thought that he would actually be able to care about someone other than Odasaku.

He puffed his chest a little and stuffed his hands in his coat's pockets as the two of you continued strolling around the shop. Since you weren't living together, not yet at least, you were only shopping for your place. Dazai wasn't even paying attention to the things on the shelves unless something reminded him of you.

"There you go," he could swear that your smile could in fact light the entire world and he made a note of making you smile even more so he could see it.

"What's that, my love?" He took the small bag from your hands. When had you even bought this? Yes, he wasn't paying attention when you were at the cashier but surely he wouldn't have missed an extra item right? Or maybe it was the matching mug wrapped?

Yes, his assumptions had been surprisingly wrong because inside the bag, wrapped in a Halloween paper that indeed reminded him of you, was a little ghost lamp. If it hadn't been a gift from you, Dazai would have thrown it away perhaps. But it was a gift, from you, and you rarely gave him any gifts to begin with.

When he looked at you, the blush on your cheeks was one of the many factors that made him wrap his arms around you so tightly that you actually complained from how tight the hug was. "Thank you."
