Gideon sat at his kitchen table, tapping his fingers against the tabletop as he shot off a text with his other hand. Hey kid. I’m at the house if you’ve got the time and want a bite to eat. It had been awhile since he’d spoken to his eldest and he was still wanting to make up for lost time.
Aurelia had to admit that for once the stress had seemed to die down. Nothing was resolved, but things were certainly getting better. Having been at home when her phone went off, she was more than glad to find a text from her father. Shooting back a ‘Love to. See you soon’ before she went to grab her shoes and jacket. All the time spent apart and she realized they hadn’t spent much together. “Hey dad!” Auri called, entering the house with a smile as she went for the kitchen. “You know, after all this time, it’s really nice to be able to say that.”

“Gosh that’s not really a fair question is it? If I have to answer then I will say Elinor and know Oliver will forgive me later. I mean we get to do the girly things. I hope we will anyway, and Oliver...well I can’t share makeup with Olly can I?”

“Does a headache count? I can bring in sick people, that could work. You’d think I was gallant and you’d be helping them, everyone wins.”
“That would work, yes. Does that mean you were so interested in seeing me again that you’re grabbing at excuses? I’m not complaining, you’re good company like I said.”

“Well, I certainly didn’t expect to MATCH with you either. And yet – here we are.” The brunette huffed, striking her eyes towards the tattoo parlor across the street. It was better than focusing on a Tinder date gone wrong.
“They clearly got a few things wrong. I didn’t...well my friend set up my account actually. I didn’t particularly think it was a good idea. Suppose we can laugh this off.”

Putting down his phone and looking up to realize his drink was empty, without thinking he waved down the next person passing by with a bit of purpose, “Excuse me. Can I get another round?” The person turned to look at him and he instantly realized they didn’t work at the bar. “I’m so sorry, I wasn’t thinking. If we can find the waiter you’re more than welcome to join me for that round I mentioned as a means of apology…”
Auri was beginning to find a routine in the tiny town. She was also learning to put stress aside. Having been on her way back to her table, she tuned when she assumed she was spoken to. Waving her hand, she brushed it off. “No big deal. You don’t have to do that, but I would enjoy the company.”

“I want a really big bag of Cheetos or a sword sharp enough to kill a man—I’m not too picky.”
“Why not both? Go big or go home huh?”

“Halloween literally feels like it was yesterday still and yet it’s only 44 days until Christmas already. Not sure whether to laugh, cry, or set myself on fire. Can we have summer back yet?”
“Not a fan then? I can’t wait to put up a tree and the decorations. I wonder if they have carolers in this town. That would be nice.”

Margaret reached forward and took the woman’s hand, giving it a quick shake before smiling at the other vampire. “Oh! I’m sure he’ll really appreciate you bringing those over,” Margaret said, her eyes falling to the box of CDs in Aurelia’s arms. “Would you like to come in for tea, or coffee, or anything really?”
“I do hope he likes them. I picked from almost every genre I had just in case.” Auri had meant to be helpful, but she wasn’t sure of his particular taste in music. One of them all seemed ideal. “Oh, tea sounds wonderful. Thank you.”

“Oh really? How was it? Awesome i hope.” Dakota smiled before giving the other a light shrug. “I’ve been here and there, mostly. You’d think most Supernaturals would be able to stay out of trouble and not get themselves hurt.” She chuckled.
“It was awesome actually.” She was grateful for a familiar face. One she had been rather close with at that. It was a nice change after all the stress. “I’m sure they learn but some are reckless by nature. So, how are you liking Hollow Grove?”

“Oh my gods and goddesses, do you think I could talk them into making those into whoopie pies? You know like a giant cookie cream sandwich? I might die of a sugar attack. So worth it though….” He continued to drool. And snapped out of it and picked up the pace pulling her along, “Come on! I need this in my life!!!”
“I feel like you could.” Auri laughed, piking up the pace and enjoying how excited he was about the whole thing. Good choice in place to go then. When they reached the building, she was thankful there was no line. “We got lucky. There’s usually a good wait for this place on certain days. Come on, our sugar coma’s await.”

Isabelle sighed as she settled back into her bed dramatically. “I’d be feeling a ton better if I wasn’t a prisoner in this hospital. I don’t know how you people expect someone to get better in this environment. I think these things are poison.” She said holding up the questionable jello cup.
“I can’t argue that some do better at home, yes, but you’ve been a frequent visitor. They just want to be extra cautious.” Auri walked into the room further, taking a seat on the edge of the bed. “How about this? I’ll get you something better on my lunch break ok? You name, I got it. It’s my treat since you have been so cooperative. “

“We haven’t spoken in months. I avoid him because it didn’t end well. It was a disaster.” She released a dry chuckle. “He’s not worth talking to the police over.”
“Yes well I suppose if you’re alright then no harm done,” Auri said with a nod. “Hopefully he realizes to stay away.”

ladymargaretgrey:
Margaret had been looking through Arthur’s expansive study, having decided to comb through the books slowly as not to miss anything, and had just stumbled upon another of her favorites when she heard a knock at the door. Setting down the novel, the woman made her way down stairs and to the front door, at a loss for who it could be. When she opened it and was greeted by a tall, gorgeous, blonde woman, her interest was instantly spiked. Margaret hesitated at the question, but ultimately pulled herself together and shook her head, “He’s not, no, but… I’m sorry, we haven’t met, I’m Margaret, Arthur’s wife.”
“Aurelia,” she introduced, politely holding out her hand to Margaret after making sure she had a good hold on the discs with her other. “It’s nice to meet you. I’m a friend of Arthur’s. I told him I would bring by some old CD’s I had. See if anything sparked some interest for the radio show maybe.”

“Can vampires even get fat?” She was thankful for her wolf metabolism. Except for the fact that it kept her in a constant state of hunger all the time.
“We can’t, but I don’t feel like it’s any excuse to not be health conscious still. Kind of keeps up a little something human despite things you know? Wolves though, you have that uncontrollable hunger right?”
