The bar opposite from my flat has this tree outside whose flowers are starting to fall, and they make such a pleasant thwacking sound when they hit the ground lol. Plus they look like fairies

One of my roommates is this German guy who is one of those digital nomad types, going to bali for a month soon etc. He told me he doesn't wash with soap because it allows him to tan without burning. He is super tanned to be fair and also has the deepest voice I've heard ever lol
I was talking about him w my Malaysian roommate who said its just white person things which made me laugh
They are both easy going, I feel happy spending time with them today

Today has been such a good first day in taiwan !! had my first class and classmates seemed nice, got some cheap coffee beans from a nice man who gave me a free coffy, the post office workers were really patient with me when I was opening my account, and I just ate a delicious bowl of wontons.
I thought my luck would change bc I went to a scary local hospital getting my medical exam done. The blood test and x-ray was q straightforward but I was laughing the whole time bc I couldn't communicate properly and the doctor had to keep repeating simple instructions
Now going to buy a coffee pot to use my beans :-/ I thought the apartment had a moka pot but alas I shall buy one and take it back to UK when I'm done
