Hey guys! I'm listening to your Return of the Thief, Part 2, Chapter 7 episode at the moment, and you mentioned that Chloe, Irene's on again off again attendant, was sent away for breaking the queen's amphora. However, I think Irene is really mad at her because Gen compliments her at the end of Queen of Attolia, teasing that he would make her his mistress. Of course, Irene takes him literally and threatens him. I bet that's what the dismissal was really about.

Hey! Thanks for chiming in - sorry to question lol I just went back and looked and it seems like at the mistress threat he's referring to the "serving girl" (314) who brought him dinner, which I took to mean kitchen girl or whatever, and she wasn't named - do you think that was Chloe? or is Chloe in there somewhere else? It's been a while since I reread lol. - C

This drawing is probably of Henry VIII's tent at the Field of the Cloth of Gold, a fun party/meeting he had with France's king in 1520. Source: Tudor Textiles by Eleri Lynn, fabulous book, highly recommend. She has an equally amazing book out called Tudor Fashion.

So I'm only at the end of the Queen of Thieves episodes and you may have already done this, but have you guys considered re-reading at least The Thief and Queen of Attolia now that Return of the Thief has come out? I would be interested in hearing your thoughts after some of the revelations we got in ROTT (more insight into the court of Eddis, the reason Gen decided to steal The Gift, etc.).

Not sure if you mean only rereading or re-doing the podcast episodes but yes will be rereading for the rest of our lives obvi, I haven't reread them straight through yet since RotT though! Re: re-recording, every time I'm awake at 3 am, yes, let's just do the whole podcast over again because I don't want it to end. But I would completely forget everything we said the first time around and just repeat most of it lol. Maybe one episode specifically on what we learn from a reread would be cool! Would love to hear your thoughts after your reread, I'm already seeing other people's and am getting my mind blown. -C
