bad hair be gone! wella charm it away!
I gave in and tried to bleach my hair to obtain this sort of grey color. Well silly me forgot that I had recently dyed my hair black. Well bleach goes in and green comes out!! Every girlâs nightmare...well I guess it wasnât too much of a nightmare, I thought I pulled off the Granny Smith look pretty well, but it wasnât what I was hoping for. I took matters into my own hands...once again, and tried to âfixâ it, well that didnât work either. So what was next? I hurried to the beauty supply store, and grab a Wella Charm permanent hair color.Â
Wella Charm can be found at almost any beauty supply store that sales professional hair products. Each time I have changed my hair color, I have used this product and it has never failed me!
Wella Charm can be found at any Sallyâs beauty supply store!

Not all girls are the same and that goes for their lovely locks too! There are so many different textures, length, and ringlets on each individualâs head. It is always fun to see how every curly head out there styles their curls. Here are just a few different looks!

business in the front, party in the back!
I was itching for something new, and after putting a hold on my colored look, I needed something different and I was running out of options. After some deep thought, or more so just a impulsive decision, I called in and made an appointment. I was on my way to the barber shop!Â
Ladies all over have been getting clipper happy, and coming up with some pretty dope hairstyles. The undercut is one of the hottest trends seen throughout the last couple of years. Only the brave are courageous enough to chop off their locks and get a killer âhair tattooâ in the back of their heads. The best part about the undercut is that it can easily be covered up if you have longer hair, by simply putting down. If you are brave enough to try it yourself, here are a few cool ideas!Â

whatâs your hair storey?
Please describe your hair in 5 words.
Bri: Blonde, curly, fine, sleek & versatile.
Lex: Curly, soft, brown, tapered & nappy.
What is your daily hair routine?
Bri: Get it wet, comb it out, put oil in it, put about a nickel-size of leave-in conditioner, scrunch it lixke a diffuser would, then put in a soft curl gel and scrunch it again. Let it air dry and look fabulous. Lex: I wet my hands, run them through my hair, dry my hair until itâs slightly damp, then apply leave-in conditioner, and then fix it up, then I brush it and make sure my taper is the right blend.
What are some challenges you face everyday doing your hair?
Bri: One would be if itâs not laying the way Iâd like it to, or if my curls donât dry the same everyday. Lex: About 2 weeks after a haircut it can be hard for my hair to maintain the same crispness and can begin to look shaggy.
Who or what are your inspirations for your hair styles?
Bri: My good friend Shani, Rihanna, Zendaya. Shaniâs hair is always laid. Rihannaâs hair is innovative and creative. Zendayaâs is forward-thinking and she consistently pushes the envelope. Lex: I donât really have any, I just keep a classic hairstyle. My tapered curls and line-up are the most important things to my hairâs look.
Describe your worst hair day?
Bri: If itâs slicked back when Iâm having sex, the aftermath does not look good. Otherwise I avoid days like these. Lex: In 8th grade a seagull dropped a deuce, right on my head at school. Couldnât get my hair to look good after having to scrub all of the crap out.
What hair products do you use everyday and recommend to others?
Bri: Garnier Fructis: Sleek & Shine Leave-in Conditioner
Garnier Fructis: Sleek & Shine Anti-Frizz Serum
Creme of Nature with Argan Oil for Perfect Edges
Miss Jessieâs Jelly Soft Curls
Lex: Shea butter for Natural Hair

short hair, donât care!
For ages, long hair has always been most desirable by many women. We have always wanted length, and when we canât grow it ourselves, we find alternative ways to achieve such a look. Well, the long hair phase has come and gone, so now letâs take in some appreciation for all the short hair ladies out there! Here are some of the best short hairstyles and haircuts that are at the top of the list to try if you are looking for a switch up!
leighton meester
A slicked-back lob, a perfect way to style your bob. Canât get enough of this look... xoxo, Gossip Girl
emma stone
Not too long, not too short, but just the right length. Emma Stoneâs cut is great for the ones that are a little afraid to get that dramatic cut for the very first time. Styling this with some nice wave is a great way to give you cut a nice touch of texture.Â
miley cyrus
Tinkerbell is that you? Miley is a brave sole and went all the way with this adorable pixie cut. Make it more fun with some pop of color, pastelâs are the hottest summer trend right now!
It may be tough, we may hold back some tears, or the fear of a huge change and commitment, but short hair is a great look to try at least once!Â

whatâs the hair scoop for ss16?Â
The runway is always the best place to find the hottest trends of the season! SS16 was one that was not shy in showing off the newest looks, from cuts, styles, colors, and accessories! Straight hair makes a comeback, with itâs sleek glass-like look. Slick back ponytails also made an appearance in shows like Balmain and Chanel, and a simple loose straight hair in Jonathan Saunders and Alexander Wang. Cant go with a pony without some pigtails as well, we saw pigtails with Miu Miu.
Some other hair trends that were seen were the natural wave with a bit of texture. Knot and twist, were seen in McQueen, Bottega Veneta and Moncler. A fun way on the play of buns and braids. Now we had some twist, but we canât forget about the actual braids which have been popping up more and more in the runway and magazines. Short hair is another trend that has made its comeback, with a little bit more of an extreme with buzz cuts.Â
Hair accessories were another trend that took place this Spring/Summer. From Alice bands to chic crowns, and something we havenât seen before âchoker hairâ (loose strands of hair tucked into a necklace, collar or choker).
A lot of these hair styles can be achieved on your own! The natural wave, can be done with simply using leave in conditioner and little spritz of sea salt spray. Go straight from the natural wave to a know by simply pulling your hair back into a low, loose pony into a knot. Some may need a bit of practice like braids, or even maybe going to someone that knows how to achieve this look. Either way you will be on your way to having the same styles as on the runway!

bringing out the summer colors
Summer is in full effect, and what better way to spice up your summer fun then with the hottest hair colors and tricks of 2016! Here are just a few that many are trying this year.
Smokey Lilac
This smokey color is a great way for you to achieve an ombrĂ© effect, this look transitions from a deep grayish purple down to a pale, foggy lavender. Â
Watermelon Love
Iâve been drinking... watermelon! No better time to have watermelon inspired hair then the summer time! Have some fun combining vivid greens with hot pink, making a hair style that looks good enough to eat!
Color BleedÂ
Weâve seen ombrĂ© blondes, but what about reds, pinks, and purples? Blending shades that combine into each other towards the top of the head, is a great way to have fun and still be able to wear it to the office! This shade looks best with a blow out, pulled back in braids, or even curls!
Jeans??
Nope! Denim Blue is in! Denim blue is a subtle way to try blue hair! Not too vibrant, not too dark!
50 shades of Platinum
Weâve seen enough of the solid platinum look throughout the last two years, so how about multifaceted blonde. With the right lighting or different angle you can see a mix of beautiful blondes.

why go natural?
MY HAIR, MY IDENTITY.
As long as I can remember my hair has been the one thing that has really made me who I am. It is what many people know me by and what stands me apart from others!
Naturally I have dark brown, thick, curly hair. About four years ago, in my freshman year of college, on my own, I started to change my hair color. Little by little it went from dark brown to golden blonde! From golden blonde, to platinum blonde, platinum to grey and then purple to pink. After that, then green, teal, dark blue, grey, finishing it off with a dual color of pink and blue. I changed my hair color like I changed my clothes.
Along with color, came heat treatments with the hair straightener, wand and curling iron. With heat treatments and all of the color, came damage on top of damage and a tad bit more of damage! Heat damage, bleach damage you name it! After many months of changing my hair every time the color faded (about every three weeks to put it in perspective) my hair had lost its natural feel. My curls had no bounce they were completely dead, my thickness had turned to straw and my hair wasnât growing anymore.
About a month ago I decided enough was enough I missed my natural hair! Although I was going to miss the liveliness, which the constant change of color gave me, it was time that I gave that lifestyle a rest. First step was dying my hair back to one natural color, black (although not my natural, it was a natural color). Next step was cutting off all of my dead ends (which was more than just an inch). I went from having shoulder length hair to a bob cut right below my ears. This was one of the hardest steps that I had to take, but it was a very necessary one! After I had cut and dyed my hair back all that was left was to cut out heat treatments, so I hid all of my hair tools from myself!
Starting over was one of the best hair choices I have made! My curls are full, bouncy, and thicker than before. Although it is fun to change hairstyles with color and heat it is also fun to keep it natural!
