I'm about to go to the cutting board to figure out which characters can be taken out/combined with others and I kind of hate this part especially since I'm pretty sure one of my babes is up for a chop job.

As I focus on my writing I'm realizing that there's definitely a little bit of devil/wicked blood in Charlie but it's more the "this vampire woman is fiercely her own and also led a good Catholic man astray and into her bed but also saved him." I just find this amusing because when I first wrote Charlie she was just a sweetheart that happened to have fangs. I think the idea of just giving her a brain and a sassy mouth does fit with what I already have though. Like she can dress pretty and smile that winning smile too but she does have thorns.

I feel like "you're just a loser who doesn't even know how to be a proper vampire." is gonna be one of the most cutting burns in the novel.
