Everything You Need to Know About Facebook Group Marketing
Influencer Marketing
Do you know that a Facebook group can increase your organic reach? Don’t believe us? Facebook has recently updated their algorithm so that posts by groups on which a user is regularly active, appear higher up in their feeds. There isn’t a better way to climb the popularity chart on Facebook than by creating a group.
Still skeptical about starting a Facebook group? Then, get this, users love the community feeling that groups provide. Groups allow them to interact on a one-to-one basis with the brands they follow. It’s no surprise that groups are proliferating at the speed of light. By Facebook’s estimates, 2.4 billion people use the 10 million groups on Facebook monthly.
If you’re yet to include Facebook groups in your digital marketing plan, this post will help you get off to a great head start.
Everything You Need to Know About Facebook Group Marketing:
Benefits of Creating Facebook Groups
Tips to Get Maximum Results From Your Facebook Groups
Benefits of Creating Facebook Groups
Facebook group marketing should be part of every smart marketer’s digital marketing strategy. To test the waters, try participating constructively in other groups’ conversations. You’ll be amazed by the kind of engagement you can drive just by posting relevant comments and insightful remarks.
Though this is a great way to grab attention on Facebook, starting a group can give you complete control of the narrative. Let’s take a closer look at the benefits of creating a group on Facebook.
Facebook Algorithm Favours Groups
You can make the Facebook algorithm work for you and get higher visibility on your posts by creating a group. If your group members interact with your content (likes, shares, comments, posts, or tags) on a regular basis, Facebook will consider you at par with friends/family.
The platform will prioritise your content while deciding on the feed display sequence. Consequently, your posts will be displayed higher up in your members’ feeds.
Marketers who understand this hack are using groups to increase their organic reach. As compared to paid Facebook ads, Facebook group marketing costs peanuts and gives considerable (if not better) returns.
Group Members are Qualified Prospects
Facebook groups can be your expressway to reach qualified customers. People opt to join groups with which they have an affinity. They are receptive to the content and ready to engage. With a bit of nurturing, brands can convert them into customers. This kind of targeted marketing can generate high ROI.
Groups Strengthen Brand-Customer Relationships
Groups can help businesses extend their customer care service. Via groups, brands can serve customers promptly by answering their queries, gathering feedback, and providing after-sales service.
Some businesses even have separate groups for each product line, where they deliver online tutorials and helpful hacks. This is guaranteed to delight customers and convert them into brand advocates.
By monitoring conversations going on in your member communities, you can identify pain points and challenges that your customers or prospects normally face. You can come up with on-point content as well as care that is sure to delight customers.
Groups Help Facilitate Community Building
By bringing together like-minded individuals as members, groups can build self-reliant communities. As a group admin, you can encourage healthy dialogue between members.
This shift, from me to we humanises your brand. And since humans trust people more than brands, you have better chances of building trust.
Tips to Get Maximum Results From Your Facebook Groups
No marketing effort will bear results if it’s not governed by a proper strategy.
After examining top-performing groups on Facebook, we’ve identified some best practices and hacks that you can emulate while starting your group. Even if you already have a group, you can use these strategies as a checklist to evaluate your group’s performance.
Set Some Ground Rules
You don’t want your group to attract irrelevant leads or be a centre for pointless, spammy posts. To facilitate a high-quality dialogue, you’ll have to clearly convey your expectations to members via rules. Rules can help prevent member conflicts and make your group a safe and welcoming haven.
Facebook allows up to 10 group rules. For inspiration, here are some example rules that you can set:
No purely promotional posts.
No link dropping unless a post categorically asks for it.
Post properly branded posts with context. Be as detailed as you can in your posts.
No posts without context. Explain why you’re posting or how your post can help members.
No hate speeches or inflammatory posts.
No spammy or irrelevant content.
Respect your fellow members’ privacy.
Interact positively with your community.
Report inappropriate behaviour promptly.
Identify Your Goals
As with all marketing strategies, Facebook group marketing needs to start with goal setting. Consider the following questions: Why are you setting up the group? Do you want to build your brand? Serve customers? Boost engagement on Facebook?
Your goal will decide your future course of action. Your member selection, ground rules, content calendar, and engagement strategy will all be dictated by your goals. Your group’s name and description should reflect its purpose clearly.
Teachable Tribe’s cover photo, group name, and description resonate with its goals.
Opt for a Private Group
Businesses normally create private groups to maintain exclusivity. With public groups, posts and members are open for scrutiny by the public. Private groups allow only members to access the content. Aspiring members are required to fill out a form and admins vet their answers before allowing them in.
By maintaining privacy, you can keep miscreants or trollers at bay, and keep discussions focused. Members also value the sanctity of the group and feel obliged to be a part of such groups. Only group admins can change a group’s privacy, and they can only do so once every 28 days. Groups with more than 5,000 members can’t change their privacy from private to public.
Optimise for Maximum Engagement
To grab maximum eyeballs, you should post during optimal times. Research proves that the best times to post on Facebook are during weekday mornings and afternoons. You can use social listening tools to gauge the times your members are most active.
Ensure that your group info is complete and up-to-date. You should include keywords that potential members might type while searching for your group. Your group description should have a prominent call-to-action and your cover picture should be captivating.
Note the clever use of a call-to-action in the header and the emotion-stirring tagline in the screenshot below.
Have a Dedicated Facebook Marketing Team
Owning a Facebook group is a commitment. You have to deliver value to members and keep the group alive and kicking. To handle the day-to-day workings of your group, it’s advisable to have dedicated teams.
In fact, it’s better to have multiple admins, especially if your group size is big. That way your members are never left in the lurch with their queries unanswered. You can pick the most active members to be admins or moderators of your group.
Keep it Interesting
To keep your content from getting stale and stagnant, experiment with different content formats. You can get great content ideas by using social media management tools or by doing a basic Google search. You can assign themes to different days of the week, such as “Motivational Monday” and “Titillating Tuesdays,” then post content that matches the theme.
Contests and giveaways are great ways to spur activity in groups, so are live Q&A sessions and podcasts. You can collaborate with some influential group members to share their trade secrets and answer member queries.
Polls and quizzes are also a big hit with Facebook users. You can conduct surveys and encourage members to tag friends who’d be interested in taking the survey. This way you can widen your reach and also get engagement.
Keep the Spotlight on Members
Though you own the group, it shouldn’t be only about you. Always remember the golden rule: get your members talking. The more enthusiastically your members post in your group, the better your group will look to the Facebook engine.
You can welcome new members and encourage them to introduce themselves. You can give shoutouts to members to acknowledge their achievements or contributions. Critique posts like an expert and offer assistance or references when you can.
Tag members in relevant threads and encourage healthy discussions in the community. It’s important not to hijack conversations and just be an active listener. You can pick up valuable pointers by tracking discussions, which can guide your next product line or content idea.
Promote Across Channels
Your group won’t get traction from day one. Be ready to promote it in your newsletters, email signatures, social accounts, and websites. If you have a mailing list, send an email announcing the launch of your new group. Make it easy for people to join the group by providing a CTA in the email.
Have a button on your website that takes people directly to the membership form. You can also include a CTA on the “thank you” pages of your lead magnets.
Conclusion
Brands are leveraging Facebook groups to generate sales, nurture customer relationships, and gather qualified leads. If done strategically, Facebook group marketing can deliver great returns. The trick is to understand your audience and cater to their needs and expectations.

Success: Why Do Some People Feel Guilty For Being Successful?
When people are asked what they want in life they will often say success. And while this can be the case, it doesn’t mean that everyone has the same meaning of what that actually means.
There are going to be other people who are already successful and they are probably going to say that they want more. But just because someone wants something, it doesn’t mean they will be able to enjoy it when they get it.
If one hasn’t experienced the kind of success they won’t yet, they might not be able to relate to this. But for the people who have, it might be something they have experienced. And one thing that can stop someone from being comfortable with success is guilt.
Sabotage
So while one person could achieve success and be unable to enjoy what they have worked so hard for, another person could stop themselves from achieving success altogether. The primary difference could be that one person experiences guilty and the other person doesn’t allow themselves to even get this far.
On the surface then, these two people could come across as being completely different. And in terms of how much they have achieved, it is clear that they are different. However, guilt is a problem for both of them.
Two Experiences
When someone is in a position where their guilt completely sabotages their success, there is the chance they won’t understand why they can’t move forward in life and progress. This could cause them to blame external sources and to feel like a victim.
And when someone is able to achieve success and then starts to feel guilty because if it, they might also have trouble understanding why they feel as they do. In this case, one might end up blaming themselves and wonder what is wrong with them.
Meaning
Guilt is something that one experiences when they have done something wrong. And what one person classes as wrong is not necessarily going to the case for someone else. It will all depend on what is going on within them and this will be the result of the experiences they have had and the meaning they have given those experiences.
For some people, success will be something they are not only able to achieve; it will be something they are able to enjoy. They won’t feel uncomfortable or question why they are experiencing it; it will simply be embraced for what it is.
Guilt
But while guilt is the emotion that someone will experience when they are successful, this is just the tip of the iceberg. If one was to go beyond the guilt, they would find that it relates to being accepted by others.
To be successful then means that other people will reject and abandon them. Intellectually one might wonder why they believe this and this could also be backed up by the friends they have who are supportive of their success.
Support
One might look back and see that some people have left their life, but as soon as that did happen, they attracted other people into their life. There is also the chance that one does have people around them who are not supportive of their growth and success.
And in order for one to keep these relationships alive, they have to dumb themselves down. So while it is not possible for them to shine and to be the best version of themselves, it does stop them from being rejected.
Reasons
The media likes to focus on what is going wrong in the world and on people who are suffering. Rarely does it look into what is going well and towards the people who are doing well. If it does focus on people who are doing well, it is often done in a way that creates division.
And because so many people are suffering or going without in life, the people who are not suffering or going without can end up feeling guilty. They can then come to believe that they don’t deserve to have what they have or to have achieved what they have achieved.
Childhood
Another important influence is going to be the kind of childhood that one had. To be accepted as a child is a matter of life and death, and so anything that could lead to being rejected would most likely have been avoided.
So if ones caregivers were suffering in one area of their life or their whole life was a struggle, it would have caused them to create certain associations around success. One may have learnt that in order to be accepted by their caregivers, they would have to stay at their level.
To go any higher would have caused them to be rejected and abandoned. This could have been something they actually experienced, or it could have been an outlook that they created in their mind. This would then be classed as familiar and therefore safe by their ego mind.
Time Goes By
Many years will have passed since these early years and yet, these associations will still exist. Intellectually one may have continued to develop, but the same can’t be said about their emotional development.
So as one lets go of these associations, they will be able to feel comfortable with success. These associations can be kept alive when the emotional experiences of one’s past have remained in their body. As these emotions are released, they will be able to integrate what happened and to move on.
This can be done with the assistance of a therapist or a healer who will allow one to get in touch with their trapped emotions and gradually release them.

Network Marketing Tips: How to Close 2 People Per Day Into Your Online Business
Network marketing is by far the most lucrative online business you could start from home. The fact is, this industry creates more millionaires than any other. This also includes affiliate marketing, or even owning your own product. The secret is in the compensation plan. These companies pay you on many different levels. This is also known as MLM (multi-level-marketing.)
In this article, I want to reveal a strategy that I personally use to consistently sign-up 2 people into my business every single day. I’ll show you exactly what you need to do, as well as why you need to do it. Here we go:
1. Build a high converting front-end marketing funnel. It doesn’t matter what you are promoting online. If you do not have a sales funnel that converts visitors into “buyers,” then you don’t have a profitable business model. Let’s look at a profitable funnel that will bring more people into your network marketing business:
This is more of an advanced step. However, it’s easy to do. Simply create a $7 e-book that educates your prospects about the industry and gets them excited to do business with you. This product can be a PDF document that is 10 to 20 pages in length.
This process is what I call “the tripwire.” It will increase your network marketing sign-ups by 30%. When you are out doing your advertising, send people to your lead capture page where you can collect their email address and then offer them the “tripwire” product. You will convert at about.08% on the “tripwire.” This means for every 100 visitors you send to your sales page, you will get 8 sales at $7.
The up-sell conversion rate from there will usually be about 30%. Hence the reason why I said increase your sign-ups by 30%. The reason this works so well to recruit people is because they already trust you after purchasing the $7 e-book. Within the e-book, you can promote your MLM.
2. Follow up with you new teammates and offer other products and services to make even more money with your business. Coaching is another great way to create a stable income online. Just offer them a simple “step-by-step” coaching program that teaches them how to take it to the next level. This is powerful!
3. Scale your business. Now that you are getting plenty of $7 e-book sales, it’s time to scale. Let’s say that you want to get 2 new people to join your MLM. In order to do this, you need to sell 8 copies of your e-book each day. Remember, you will get the 2 sign-ups from your e-book up-sell process.
In order to get 8 e-book sales per day, you need 100 visitors per day to see your sales page. You will get 8 $7 sales and 2 MLM sign-ups. This is VERY predictable. So if you want to get 60 sign-ups per month, you need 3,000 visitors each month.
Use these marketing techniques to close more sales in your online business and FINALLY get the results you have been looking for. I believe that you can do this. So get out there and take ACTION now!

Social Media Recruiting: Save Time And Money On Social Media
If you are a recruiter, you need to find ways that enable you to find as many qualified applicants as possible, and yet use a few resources as possible. This is all because you want to save time and money for your company. Let’s look at one of the ways that a traditional job search can burn up your precious time and money.
Let’s start by looking at a more traditional method that recruiters use to find qualified applicants to fill positions. A recruiter might use the good and old-fashioned way of hiring someone, by placing an advertisement either in a newspaper, or in a trade magazine. The ads aren’t going to be offered free, since charging advertisers for money is how these publications stay in business. When a recruiter pays these publications to place an ad in the paper, very rarely will they get the kind of budget that they need to place a decent sized ad.
If the recruiter gets a good deal on their publication ad, it’s usually because they have to promise up front to pay a nice sum of money. This is done by pre-purchasing a set number of ads. The recruiter will be told that it’s a worthy investment, because they will have more of an opportunity to find more people for their job position, because they will have more ads running. But is the recruiter getting really getting a good deal? Probably not, because while they will get a set number of publication ads, the ads are impersonal and one-sided. They will do nothing but attract a ton of people looking for work.
The cycle of weeding out and whittling down will begin. Precious time will be wasted on sifting through the most worthless, unqualified applicants, instead of spending that time on qualified applicants. At the end of the day, by the time that a recruiter finds even a handful of people who are halfway worthy of interviewing, the deadline for filling a position will come upon them. Then the recruiter will be under pressure to hurry up and hire. Who they hire might not be the best person, or the best fit. But this is where they will find themselves.
On the other hand, the recruiter can use a web based social media recruiting method that is new and fresh. It has a worldwide reach, instead of a regional reach for qualified applicants. It will enable the recruiter to get to know the applicant in a very personal way even before an invite for an interview is even offered. The recruiter can find out not only the potential applicant’s qualifications, but they can learn about the applicant’s personality, friends, and affiliations in a way that the applicant might not even be aware of. The best part is that all of this information will be public and ready to find out with this platform. This platform is called social media, and when recruiters use this to find applicants, then it’s called social media recruiting.

How To Make Money Online Using The Power Of Facebook
Making money online stands side by side with the viral power of social media. It cannot be denied that social media is one of the most significant tool used by strategic online marketers.
Of course, social media is not designed really for business as the term denotes. However, if done in the right way then it is a top destination to promote your business.
So, what is the first step to do to get started? If you have just created your account at Facebook, it is quite right not to go directly promoting any products or services you have. It is very unprofessional to do this right away since you will not be seen as a true social friend. Majority of these people have joined Facebook because they want to socialize with their friends and families and not to buy something.
You have to start building relationships first before taking any attempt to promote or sell something to them. You have to establish yourself as one who is taking part in anything that they are doing. You have to make complements such as making good comments, liking their posts, sharing their posts, posting your thoughts, photos and videos that catch attention, etc. You have to establish yourself as one with them and to be followed and liked in return.
Make the daily 20-30 minutes habit to spend time socializing while slowly and strategically starting to make yourself known as an online marketer. It is always a big mistake by online newcomers to directly post their online businesses at their own personal walls. There has to be a proper way to do it if you want to amass the viral power of Facebook to make money online.
I have here a very effective strategy and a very professional way of posting yourself as an online marketer at Facebook. Did you know that you can post in your personal wall as your fan page? And anything posted there is also seen at the walls of all your friends? And if your friends get to like or share your post it will also automatically be noticed in all their friends’ walls? Now you have the idea. So, next time you post something promotional or anything related to your business, do it in your business page and not in your own personal wall. This will eliminate the wrong procedure of directly posting your business at where you are supposed to socialize. As such, you will not be seen as one of those who are just trying to sell and squeeze potential customers’ credit cards.
Making money online with the use of Facebook can really make the most of what you want. It offers huge amount of potential that is really only limited by your imagination. Once you recognize its viral and amazing power to make money online, you are on the right way to achieving your financial success.

5 Steps For SOCIAL MEDIA Brand Reputation
5 Simple Steps to Get Started in Social Media, That Won’t Cost a Dime!
I recently re-read for the first time the wonderful little book, “Who moved my Cheese” by Dr. Spencer Johnson. I say re-read for the first time because I had read it a few years ago and dismissed it. I was absolutely sure that I knew exactly where “my cheese” was. In fact I did know where my cheese was, what I didn’t know at the time was that overnight my cheese would get hijacked and I would be left with no cheese and not a lot of ideas where to find any. Like Hem and Haw in the book I was convinced that my cheese was in the same place it had always been, but every time I went looking for it, NOTHING! Eventually, I was starving and I realized I had to become more like Sniff and Scurry and find my new cheese before my 401k funds ran out. Which brings us to this Free Report. I decided my new cheese was to be found in learning social media and social networking well enough to start developing my own suspects/prospects/clients and then “paying forward” to help my Real Estate business partners who were struggling to find “their cheese”. I’m not here to sell you anything, but rather to share my experiences and hope they help you in your search for “your cheese”. There are hundreds of “experts” and honestly they know a lot more about this than I do. In fact I’ve paid money to most of them, as I’m sure many of you have. What I didn’t know when I was shelling out all this money, was that there were things I had to do to establish an identity for my business before I would get the value the experts promised. If you find value in this Free Report, feel free to share it with your colleagues. Just give them the email address from where you received your copy or have them call me. Thanks and I hope it helps your business. “Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.” – Arthur Ashe Step 1 Don’t try to eat the elephant in one bite! The world is divided into two groups of people: Group 1 is those people who already, know, like and trust you. Group 2 is those people who don’t Brilliant, right? I like to think so, but the first step in social media is recognizing you need a different marketing message for Group 1 than Group 2. Unless you’re already a rock start in your market, chances are your Group 2 is significantly larger than your Group 1. Think about using social media as a tool to move more people from Group 2 to Group 1 by growing the number of people who “know, like and trust” you. Which brings us to the elephant. If you noticed the picture on the title page, you can see that the world of social networking is very convoluted and can lead you in so many directions you’re likely to end up where you started. Rule #1 Start Simple There are literally hundreds of “tools” in social media to help you grow your online reputation and business and most of them don’t have practical business applications (yet!) The world of social media and social networking can be overwhelming, when viewed as a whole but there are certain threads that run through each social platform. One of those threads is that social networking is about meeting and engaging people, not trying to sell them. You’ve heard the “cocktail party” metaphor. Social networking is like a cocktail party, you meet people and engage them looking for commonalities and a potential basis for developing a conversation (relationship). You’re not trying to marry the people you meet online, but rather to see if there is enough interest for a follow up “cup of coffee” so you can talk some more. If you give the “Are you or anyone you know interested in buying or selling real estate?” at the on-line cocktail party, people will shut you out and ignore you very quickly. Why, because they can and it’s their cocktail party! Social media and networking are not designed to replace your off line marketing strategies either. In fact they are the perfect complement to them. The more prospects you can engage on line and work them through your “marketing funnel” until you get the opportunity to meet them face-to-face the more prosperous your business will be. To start you only need to focus on three platforms: 1. The search engines – Google, Yahoo and Bing, you have to make yourself visible to the search engines or you’ll never get found by the people that don’t already know you and even they might not have the patience to look too hard. Think page 1 “above the fold”. 2. Facebook – You have to be where your customers are and 450 MILLION people can’t be wrong. 3. LinkedIn – This is the social networking site of choice for professionals. According to a recent study the average income of LinkedIn users is $109,000/year. Don’t know about you, but I need to know more of those kind of prospects. If you’re interested in referrals from other agents, they are most likely to come from here. This is your on-line resume and networking here is likely to provide quicker results. If being an REO agent is in your future it’s very likely the asset managers will start their search on LinkedIn to select qualified agents. Step 2 It’s not about you! This is the most difficult step for most veteran Realtors®. Think of the internet and social media/networking as part of the largest real estate shopping mall in the history of mankind. Everyday millions of shoppers head to this mall to search for some sort of information about real estate. Unfortunately there are millions of choices for them, fortunately they have a directory to help them find the store they are looking for. That directory is the search engines, Google, Yahoo, Bing and now even Facebook. So, how do you get to be the one these shoppers find? Since day one in the business you’ve been told about growing your brand. Traditional marketing channels like newspapers, homes magazines, marketing flyers were always about YOU! The evolution of on-line marketing has changed that. Since the day the first Realtor gave internet access to the MLS, the consumer had the “keys to the kingdom”. The consumer is control and they like it that way. They can get the information with or without you. It’s how you add value that will determine your success. I’ve posed this dilemma to a number of local Realtors® and have gotten the same response most of the time: “They don’t need us anymore” Absolutely incorrect! They still need you, but not to search for houses. They can do that while watching “Dancing with the Stars” or on their wireless devices while driving through neighborhoods actually looking at their future dream home. They need you to be the “resident genius” They need you to tell them what’s going on in the market. They need you to tell them what’s going on in the community. They need you to tell them why particular subdivisions or neighborhoods are great places to live. They need you to share with them the “insider secrets” to a successful real estate transaction. In short, they need your expertise! The consumer has the keys to the MLS kingdom and they’re not giving them up, so you have to find a way to bring value to this budding relationship that is not entirely real estate related. If you were having a conversation with someone you hadn’t previously known, and they asked “Why should I do business with you?” How would you respond? You might say because “I’m a market expert”, or “I’m the top producer in my office”, or “Because I provide outstanding service and I put my client’s interest first.” Those are all very good reasons, but that’s what every Realtor® says.(It’s called me-too marketing) If everyone is saying the same thing how is the consumer going to hear YOU above all the noise? You have to have a “WHY ME?” that will separate elevate you above the competition. Your WHY ME? has to bring value to this relationship. Never forget Rule #1 of relationships The person that brings the most value to the relationship will control the relationship! In the internet world consumers want to be educated (explains why there are millions of blogs) and entertained (YouTube!). They want to receive value. They want you to give it to them! Your WHY ME? has to be more than words, you have to show the skeptical consumer that you’re different better than your competition. Think of yourself as the Mayor of your City/Neighborhood or the President of the local Chamber of Commerce, who happens to sell real estate. The more time you spend promoting your city, community, or neighborhood. The more trusting consumers will be of you. Then, your real estate job gets a whole lot easier! Step 3 You need the keys, to get the engine running! For consumers that don’t already know you, they have to be able to find you through the search engines. How will they do that? They will “Google” what interests them. Getting found on the internet, whether it be your web page or Facebook business page or even your Google local business listing revolves around keywords, so even if you already have a well established brand using your name, start thinking like your prospects and build your business around your “keywords”. Google Keyword Tool – you will need a Gmail account to access Here’s a exercise Using the Google keyword tool, enter (your city) real estate or homes for sale in (your city), the keyword tool will give you the number of searches over the past month along with variations of those terms. You can also use the tool to measure how much competition you will have. Now search by your name with Realtor or real estate agent and compare the number of searches. If you want to fish…fish where the fish are! The more proficient you are with keywords, the greater the chance that someone searching for real estate in your local market will find you. You should strive for a first page ranking on all the search engines (Google, Yahoo, Bing) for the target markets you have selected. The chances of being found drop dramatically once you get off the first page. So, who are your target markets? If you said, “anyone looking to buy or sell a home”, you have almost NO chance of being found. Why? Because that’s the playground where the big kids play and it’s very, very expensive to play there, you’re competing with Realtor.com, Homes.com, Zillow, Trulia, Movoto and all the other national listing websites. If you have enough money to compete with them, you probably don’t need this information. If you said, “first time home buyers looking to buy in (your city)” or “homeowners looking to stop foreclosure in (your farm area)” your chances of being found have increased dramatically. Why? These are searches in your local market (hyper-local) and you will find a better quality lead. Research has shown that the closer a consumer gets to their buying decision, the more “granular” their searches get. They may start off searching by “homes for sale”, but as they begin to focus on a particular city or neighborhood they’re going to search for “(your city) homes for sale” or “(your city) real estate”. Then as they identify particular neighborhoods, their searches might be “Paseo del Sol homes” or “Greer Ranch homes for sale”. The interesting part of this search process is that Google has a memory, and as they recognize an individual’s searching patterns with particular keywords, they will try to match those searches with relevant content and those pages will rank higher for that consumer. You can also try “Wonder Wheel”- Watch Wonder Wheel video – which simplifies the keyword search process by giving you the ability to branch off in a number of directions in your search and perhaps find other niche markets. Step 4 Write a killer profile “A Google Profile is simply how you represent yourself on Google products – it lets you tell others a bit more about who you are and what you’re all about. You control what goes into your Google Profile, sharing as much (or as little) as you’d like.” Even if you don’t have a website or a Facebook business page, or a LinkedIn account, you can still be found on the internet by consumers who don’t know you, by writing a “killer profile”. A killer profile is one that sounds more like a press release than a bio. Strategic use of keywords in your profile(s) enables consumers to find you based on their searches (Step 3). When you write your profile try to be as keyword rich as possible. Back to the Google keyword tool and look for more keyword terms that are easily included in your profile. As much as possible (don’t make it weird) refer to yourself in the third person because there will be people who know you or are checking up on you and you want to make sure they can find you as well. A great source of ideas for a “killer profile” is ActiveRain. Search Realtors in your local area and check out their profiles. You will soon see the difference between a “killer profile” and a “me too” profile. You only have to write one profile. Create a word or Google document, then just copy and paste to your selected sites. As you search for other niche markets, update your profile with keywords related to that market. Your profile only has one purpose! Help people find you! Just like your profile might be for an on-line dating service, your business profile’s purpose is to generate enough interest to have a first date, then you can let the relationship grow from there, How will you know if it works? Upload your profiles to each of the search engines, to your Facebook business page, and to LinkedIn . Give it a couple days, then Google your name. You should see dramatic improvement. Maintaining your search engine ranking is not a “set it and forget it” strategy. Too many agents have spent a lot of time building their ranking only to lose it 30 days later because they didn’t keep the contact fresh. Your online visibility all starts with your keyword rich profile. Take the time to write a “killer profile” and you should see improvement quickly. Step 5 Do it! The only bad on-line strategy is the one you don’t do! Remember, you have competition out there and it’s not limited to just your MLS board. Think about how many Realtors in Southern California have access to your MLS listings. That is how much competition you have. To beat your competition you will have to be: 1) Creative- Take a look at what your competition is doing and do something different. Just because they’re doing it doesn’t mean it’s working. Think like your prospects, how can you educate, entertain, or enrich? 2) Patient – Like all relationships, on-line relationships take a while to develop. Don’t expect immediate results. Treat your on-line platforms with the same diligence you use for your off-line marketing. Be consistent. If you feel a relationship is getting stale, get creative and try something new, if that doesn’t work try something else. The only thing constant in internet marketing is change. The technology is changing at a dramatic pace and in a year even these suggestions may be out of date. You have to be committed to invest the time and effort to develop your on-line reputation. Perhaps the worst thing that can happen to you is you find a qualified prospect and when they go on-line to “check you out” (and they will!) they can’t find you, but instead find another agent who has taken the time to build an “on-line brand”. GOOD LUCK!

What to Include in Your Social Media Marketing Strategy?
Creating a “buzz” around products, services, businesses or events is a requirement from all clients. There is no social media marketing wand that someone will wave and target audience will automatically start coming to your site. And what works for one brand may not work for another. The process of creating buzz doesn’t start from creating a Blog or creating a video, it’s a social media strategy that encompasses social media and word-of-mouth marketing. We have compiled a list of social media tools that companies use to build their social media marketing mixes –
1. Blogs
Blogs have become a great tool for social media marketing. That is first because, if optimised correctly, it can be used to drive traffic to a website. A good blog will help in creating internal links, fresh content, active community or non-search engine traffic. Examples of popular blogs where you can create your account are: WordPress, Blog.com, Bloggers.com, Typepad etc.
2. Microblogging
Just as blogs, microbloggs offer huge opportunities for business promotion. That is both through content consistency and good optimisation. Few of the most used are: Posterous or Twitter.
3. Online video
The importance of online videos has rapidly increased during the last years. To read more on this topic, have a look at our blog on the Growing importance of online video. Popular video sharing websites are: YouTube and Vimeo.
4. Photosharing
Social media is all about sharing! Therefore, there are numerous platforms that allow photo sharing with your friends. Some of them are: Flickr, Memeo, and Photobucket.
5. Podcasting
Podcasting is part of the new media tools that are offered to both promote your brand or your products/services. Check out Blip or RadioPodcast here.
6. Presentation sharing
Another great way to put your brand’s name in the spotlight is by offering presentations on topics of interest for your audience on presentations sharing websites. They are increasingly gaining in popularity nowadays. Some of them are: SlideShare, MyPlick, Scribd, AuthorSTREAM, or Myplick.
7. Social networks: applications, fan pages, groups, and personalities
Social networks are the place to present, promote yourself as well as to keep in touch with your targeted audience. You can read a list of most popular on our blog on Top social media network sites!
8. Crowd sourcing / Voting
Crowdsourcing is an effective model because it can be used for developing programs, marketing efforts, research, and education. For example Dell has used Crowdsourcing as a distributed problem-solving and production model and has reduced costs and increased their efficiency. Also look at the challenge for  here to see crowd sourcing campaign.
9. Bookmarking/Tagging
Social bookmarking is a method for Internet users to share, organize, search, and manage bookmarks of web resources. Examples of popular social bookmarking websites: Delicious, Digg, Diigo, Fark, Mixx, MyBlogLog, Newsvine, Propeller, Reddit, Slashdot, StumbleUpon, Yahoo! Buzz.
10. Discussion boards and forums
Online forums are a great way to market your products/ services and interact with other professionals or your audience. Engaging your audience in your niche forum can bring high value to your site and brand too.
11. Content aggregation
Content aggregation offers you the chance to bring all news and feeds around your online communities accounts in one place. Some say this is the future of social media. Emerging content aggregation websites: Bloglines, FriendFeed, Lifestream.fm, Lijit.
12. Brand monitoring
Social media is also offering a variety of tools that help businesses understand the positioning of their brand. Popular examples are: Buzzlogic, Radian6 or Reputation Defender.
13. Ratings and reviews
The best way to find out where your website stands or how your brand is perceived by others is through ratings and reviews. See Yelp, Getsatisfaction.
14. Widgets
For those who are trying to promote their own brands, they can create their personalise badges using interesting widgets on Facebook, Twitter and other networks or simply use WidgetBox or Spring Widgets.
15. Wikis
Wikis are our online encyclopaedia. A short list of wikis: Wikipedia, Citizendium, Aboutus, Pbwiki, or Wetpaint.
Along with all the new ways of publishing your content on networking sites, it is important to publish your articles on publishing sites like EzineArticles, eHow, Google Docs, IdeaMarketers, Yahoo Articles Group and submit your press release on important specialised sites like i-Newswire, PR.com, PressReleasePoint, PRLog.org
Social Media Marketing can be very confusing at times. There are lots of networks and channels to choose from, creating presence on all the channels is very time consuming and randomly choosing any network is not a good social media strategy. Companies are struggling to understand what social media marketing mix they should use to make their brand successful in the online world. We suggest it is important to identify which channels are suitable for your business depending on your target audience. Businesses must plan a step by step online marketing strategy and brainstorm ideas with their online marketing agency that will work for their products/service.

3 Crucial Steps to Being Effective in Network Marketing Leadership
Effective network marketing leadership is essentially what determines your team building success. Unless you have high commissions on your personal sales, or do big retail volumes, your income depends on the size of your network or team.
MLM sponsoring is the major skill in network marketing and most reps fail because they fail to develop true leadership. People will choose to either follow you or look elsewhere for a leader on the basis of your vision and how well you can communicate that.
Your vision underpins any mission statement, mantra or strap line. But your leadership should be evident by everything you write, say and do, all your communications, formal and informal. It is your vision, your values, your business ethic on show.
Identifying your true purpose, your calling requires some deep personal reflections, which not everyone is prepared or equipped to do. However, if you know your reputation, your marketing message all stem from that. Here are three crucial steps to develop and be effective in network marketing leadership.
[1] Identify your inner purpose – why you do what you do.
One way to do this is to focus on what is important for you, why you get out of bed in the morning, what drives you. From there, you can build out a clear vision for the future based your values and goals, what you see happening if you are successful in your pursuits.
Share that purpose with other people until you can state your ‘why’ and your vision in terms that anyone can understand, in order that they can be inspired to take action. Stay disciplined to keep asking yourself and your team the tough questions about the impact of your activities. This will help ensure you continue to focus on your purpose and direction for your business.
[2] Commit to what you believe in and the vision of where you’re going.
Commitment is what allows you to persist with something even when things get hard. Being committed starts with having a strong belief in something. You cannot commit to something you don’t believe in.
Lead by an example as a role model for others. Communicate your vision frequently and help others achieve focus. If you talk about your vision and direction often enough, you will share the values and work ethic that drives you and your leaders. Reward your team for staying on track and for achievements.
[3] Change limiting habits that hold you back as a leader.
Changing habits of a lifetime is not easy. It often takes an immense amount of courage and a leap of faith. Moving from seeking approval to leadership is key not only for inspiring others but for your own self-respect.
Identify some of the inner demons that may be holding you back in your own business, since these will often be the same issues with your capability as a leader. Be prepared to take a stand, to share your commitment to your purpose, values and beliefs.
There’s no need to get into heated arguments or debates if you stand strong in your vision and your commitment. Your persistence and hard work will back it up and over time, people once negative will often be openly or secretly inspired by your dedication to your calling.
Be judged on loyalty
Effective network marketing leadership is not so much about the size of your team, but rather your vision and commitment. It is this that attracts people to you as a leader spurred on by how well you can communicate that.
The result is loyalty: a genuine team of like-minded people who believe in what you stand for, who trust and respect you, who are able to focus on achieving their own goals and have a sense of belonging and community that is strong and enduring in the face of changes or challenges around them.

Generosity Leads to Abundance – 5 Principles of Generosity and How They Can Change Your Life
Generosity leads to abundance. Do you have to wait till your dreams come true before you can be generous? In our heads we know the answer is “No” but do we know that in our hearts? Generosity is a gift we give to the world every day. In fact, if you live by the principles of generosity you will be blessed with abundance.
Learning to be generous even while you are still experiencing difficulties can be a hard lesson but the rewards are life-changing. You have the ability to change your difficult situation by practicing generosity. Let’s discover more about how we can be generous and as a result, change the abundance we will have in our life.
Updated Social Media Prospecting & Recruiting Guide & Scrips
The Principles of Generosity:
1. Tithing. Giving back 10% of your income is the first principle of wealth. It doesn’t matter which personal development book you read, the great leaders have learned this principle and practice it faithfully. Giving to your place of worship is the first thing you must learn to do regularly.
2. A bigger perspective. Principle #2 is to take our eyes off ourselves. Instead of focusing on ourselves we must look for a need. There are people all around you that have greater needs than you do. Find the people you could help and be creative in ways you could help them.
3. Serve others. Learning to be a servant to others strengthens your generosity muscle. Find ways that you can serve in your community, in your church, in any place where you spend time or see a need.
4. Help the hurting. Many people go through their days experiencing grief, loneliness and pain. Small gestures of compassion could change their lives. You have the power to make a difference in their lives with your generosity.
5. What you give, you receive. What is it you need in your life? Whatever you give to others is how you will be repaid. Are you generous with your time? People will be quick to reciprocate you with time. Are you generous with your possessions? You will always have access to the tools you may need. Would you like to receive more money? Be generous with what you have.
Practice these principles of generosity and watch your life change from needy to abundance.
Here’s to the abundant success you were designed to achieve!

How Freelancers Can Catch FIRE (Financial Independence Retire Early)
Tumblr media
How Freelancers Can Catch FIRE (Financial Independence Retire Early)
Millennials around the world are facing bleak job prospects and a world economy in near shambles from the COVID-19 pandemic. Naturally, the idea of living off investments sounds pretty good right now. Personal finance has long talked about the idea of becoming financially independent, meaning not owing debt and having your investments cover your living expenses. But now there’s a millennial twist on it: retiring early. Put together, you get FIRE (Financial Independence Retire Early)
Once the domain of employees tired of their 9-5 jobs who want to travel more, FIRE is creeping into all sectors of the working world. With more people going into freelancing due to the pandemic – on top of the 55 million+ freelancers that are already out there – it’s high time we had the FIRE conversation from the perspective of freelancing.
What is FIRE (Financial Independence Retire Early)?
FIRE is made up of two core principles: becoming financially independent (FI) and retiring early (RE). It sounds simple, but the community is wildly splintered.
The definition of financial independence is largely accepted as having investments producing enough income to cover your living expenses. That could mean simply survival expenses of food and shelter all the way to living a lavish lifestyle – it all depends on the individual.
The definition of retiring early, however, is wildly up for debate. Personal finance guru Erving says she hates the concept of FIRE for this exact reason. She believes it’s a huge mistake for young people to take themselves out of the workforce during what would be peak earning years. Interestingly, though, many FIRE advocates agree with her.
Take Kristy Shen, aka FIRE Cracker from Millennial Revolution, a Toronto engineer who FIRE’d along with her husband a few years ago. She was livid that Orman implied FIRE advocates don’t understand compound interest or never want to work again in their lives. On the contrary, the “RE” in FIRE is often understood not as never working, but only working on what you want to. For Kristy, that’s writing. She and her husband wrote Quit Like a Millionaire and have earned hundreds of thousands of dollars writing over the years since FIRE. So much for never working again.
Tumblr media
The origins of FIRE and the unique road of freelancing
“I realized the traditional rulebook of life: 1) get a job 2) buy a house 3) be loyal to a company and work until you are 65 and 4) retire with a pension, was broken,” said Shen. “Jobs are no longer stable, houses are no longer affordable, and jobs with pensions are rarer than unicorns.”a freelancer who hit FIRE at age 25, couldn’t agree more. He sees himself as incredibly risk averse, so FIRE was his way “to make income unnecessary” in his life. Talk about risk reduction.
“I work full time and freelance,” she said. “I freelance to pursue my passions (blogging, podcasting, speaking, teaching) and also to build a business so that I can eventually quit my 9-5.”
FIRE was originally developed by people who hated their 9-5 jobs and wanted financial freedom to work on passion projects. So where do freelancers fit into the mix? It gets a bit complicated when you consider that freelancers have inconsistent income and a different tax situation. Those two seemingly small things can change the whole FIRE formula for freelancers, so it’s critical to look at it from that unique angle.
Step 1: Know what kind of FIRE you want
FIRE fundamentally means having enough income from investments that you don’t need income from labor to live. The implied second part is reaching this milestone as early as possible in life, both to benefit from compound interest longer and to enjoy “retirement” for a longer period of time.
Within the financial independence retire early movement, there are three key categories:
Lean FIRE
Fat FIRE
Coast FIRE
Lean FIRE means you cover your essentials with your investments: food, transportation, lodging, and healthcare. That’s it. People who hit this level of FIRE often quit a job they hate but may choose to continue working on passion projects or, as many like Shen have already, become bloggers about their FIRE journey.
Fat FIRE means having enough tucked away for a comfortable lifestyle involving travel, meals out, and more refined lodgings or transportation. What you put into Fat FIRE entirely depends on your lifestyle choices – for some that means vacations, for others it’s a nice car, and for others it’s fancy steak dinners. It’s your choice.
Coast FIRE means you no longer have to actively put money into your investments in order to reach your retirement goals.. For example, if you have $300,000 in investments at an annual compound interest rate of 5%, it will hit $1,000,000 in 25 years. So if you want to retire at 65, your “Coast FIRE” number and date is $300,000 by age 40.
FIRE advocates will often tell you that a huge part of picking your FIRE strategy is also understanding your debt situation. Then, of course, getting out of debt as quickly as possible.
One FIRE journeyer who runs the account ForBetterOrWorth on Instagram, said that’s where his FIRE journey started.
“Our journey to FIRE started with becoming debt free and then figuring out what to do with all that money that used to be debt repayment,” he said.
Step 2: Identify your FIRE number
This is simple math. Once you know what kind of FIRE you want, you simply have to start the calculations.
Here’s what you do:
A) Make a list of all the monthly expenses you will have
From housing and healthcare to travel and dining out. You can also make different models based on Lean and Fat FIRE, if you want to see how the expenses shake out.
Let’s say this is $5,000 per month.
B) Multiply the total monthly expenses by 12, so you have your annual expenses.
That makes $60,000 per year.
C) Add a cushion just in case – usually 10-25% of the total value.
At 20%, that’s $72,000 per year you need investments to generate.
D) Divide the number by 4% (or 0.04 on a calculator), which is known as the “safe withdrawal rate.” (SWR).
The concept of the SWR is that you can draw that percentage each year without ever touching your investment principal. That means the FIRE fund will last, theoretically, forever (PS, this is how rich people live almost all the time, earning money from dividends and assets instead of their labor).
You would need about $1,800,000 in assets to produce $72,000 in annual income.
Tumblr media
This is also when you start to realize how small changes can have a serious impact in your FIRE goals.
Let’s say you reduce monthly expenses by $500 per month – to only $4,500 instead of $5,000. That means your new FIRE number is only $1,620,000 at 4% withdrawal. By removing $500 a month from your expenses, you don’t have to save an extra $180,000! Also keep in mind that you don’t have to budget for putting money into savings, since you will have this covered already with FIRE.
This is why many people who chase FIRE aim for the lowest possible monthly expenses, so that FIRE is easier to hit. Take Brian Groat, for instance, who hit his FIRE number of $600,000. He only needed $2,000 a month for his personal Lean FIRE, which was a key reason he was able to hit it so young in life.
Many others choose $1,000,000 as the start of FIRE. Shen did this when she FIRE’d, and new FIRE chasers like Torres-Rodriguez picked the same number.
For C, the anonymous poster behind ForBetterOrWorth, $1 million is just the baseline.
“Right now, $1.5MM even though it’s up for debate,” he said. “Once we hit the $1MM it will definitely be a chance to level set and see if we need to readjust. It’s definitely going to be a million at least!”
At the end of the day, it’s really up to you.
Step 3: Choose your investment vehicles
Tax sheltered investment vehicles are favored by the rich and by FIRE chasers. It seems whenever a country offers tax-advantaged accounts, FIRE chasers use them.
all Canadian. As such, they used accounts like RRSP (registered retirement savings plans) and TFSAs (tax free savings accounts). Torres-Rodriguez and ForBetterOrWorth are American and use 401Ks and IRAs, the American equivalents.
Other accounts depend on your personal situation.
Kinsella and ForBetterOrWorth both have kids. As a result, Kinsella uses RESPs (registered education savings plans) because the Canadian government matches a lot of your deposits. ForBetterOrWorth uses a 529 plan, the American equivalent of an RESP.
Real estate, on the other hand, is a tense subject in the FIRE community. It can provide a lot of passive income when done but can also cost a lot to maintain. Torres-Rodriguez said she “will be adding real estate to my portfolio this year.” Groat, on the other hand, said he used to dabble in real estate but doesn’t anymore.
Step 4: Prepare for freelancer taxes
Freelancing is more complicated when it comes to taxes, but that provides a unique advantage. One big question to answer, though, is whether to operate as a sole proprietorship or incorporate. While the decision is personal, other freelance FIRE chasers suggest incorporation.
“You’ll get a mix of opinions, but I chose to incorporate right off the bat,” said Kinsella. “Keeping business and personal separate has helped me treat the two the way they need to be. Personal is where I spend time planning for FIRE. The business I treat like I work for someone else. It’s a source of income that I also happen to run.”
“It’s going to be different for everybody,” said Groat. “But you want to look at incorporating instead of being a sole proprietorship when it makes sense for you.”
The next thing is to plan for reducing taxes as much as possible – something that using tax-advantaged investment accounts already helps with.
“As a high income earner, I maximize tax savings by maxing out my workplace and solo 401Ks and HSA [Health Savings Account] to reduce my taxable income,” said Torres-Rodriguez.
While this extra planning can be a nuisance, Shen noted freelancers have a lot more flexibility in the end.
“You have the flexibility of ramping up your earnings and investing more money than an employee could,” said Shen. “You can also write off expenses, which enables you to optimize your taxes.”
Step 5: Track your expenses
Tracking expenses is not necessary, but actively encouraged for FIRE chasers. It’s not just the extra coffee that will derail your FIRE plans, but the fact that it’s easy to let spending get away from you if you don’t keep an eye on it.
As for tools, though, the answer is pretty simple: Excel wins across the board. As Shen put succinctly, “I love spreadsheets.”
For folks that don’t like Excel, Personal Capital and  were two tools mentioned by FIRE chasers as helpful for them.
Step 6: Plan for inconsistent income
As mentioned in the tax planning section, freelancers have inconsistent income – it’s a simple reality of freelancing.
For freelancers chasing FIRE, there are two risk mitigation strategies you can use:
Retainer versus growth: Try to find a client on retainer that pays enough to cover your living expenses. Everything else goes to FIRE.
Start an emergency fund: Give yourself 3-6 months of expenses sitting in cash (or a high interest savings account) so if the business goes south for a bit, you won’t have to stop your FIRE contributions.
Step 7: Avoid FIRE pitfalls specific to freelancers
When talking to the FIRE chasers, six key pitfalls came up that are unique to freelancers.
1 – Charge what you’re worth
“Not charging enough or not charging money soon enough,” said Groat, talking about the key pitfalls to avoid. “A lot of freelancers charge an hourly rate, whatever their salaried income was plus $5,” which he says is “disastrous.” He recommends your freelancing rate be double whatever an employee would earn for the same work.
2 – Have a contract
A solid freelance contract gets you out of a whole assortment of problems. It governs work scope, payment terms, deadlines, late fees, and more. Since it’s a legal document, it tends to keep clients more in line than a simple handshake agreement. And if you ever needed to go to court, you have the contract to back you up.
3 – Know difference between cash flow and wealth building
“As a freelancer, you want to focus on cash flow and wealth building as two different things,” said Groat.
Cash flow is the money coming in and going out of your business each month – salary plus other expenses. Wealth building is the money put aside to buy assets. Don’t mistake a good month revenue-wise as getting you closer to financial independence, retire early. The real key is investing as much of your money as possible.
4 – Ignore things and people that detract you from your goal
When you start pursuing FIRE, a lot of people will have a lot of opinions (especially Suze Orman, apparently). But you have to simply ignore and push through.
“People will second guess you and try to talk you out of it,” said ForBetterOrWorth. “But go for it and keep going. It takes time for your investments to compound, but once you start to see that – it’s GAME OVER!”
5 – Make sure you’re disciplined
It’s not just inconsistent income – freelancing is a bumpy ride. There are many things that could derail you or force a pivot. The key is to just be ready.
“That’s why you’ll have to be very disciplined in investing consistently, since you can’t just put in the same amount of money every two weeks like you would with a steady paycheck,” said Chen.
6 – You don’t need to stop freelancing post-FIRE
Freelancing is one of the most free jobs in the world – it’s literally in the name. So after hitting FIRE, don’t worry about needing to send a goodbye email to your clients.
“Just because you’re FI doesn’t mean you have to be RE,” said Groat.
Step 8: Chasing financial independence retire early doesn’t mean ignoring fun
There’s a misconception that FIRE chasers are paupers, scrooges, and otherwise very very cheap people. This is not true. While you can get to FIRE by scrimping every penny, the majority of FIRE chasers realize that FIRE is a marathon. Even the fastest journeys still take years for most people.
“I don’t know about you, but back when I was working towards FIRE, I had a lot of fun spending $5000-$10,000/year on travel with zero guilt,” said Shen. “It’s not about depravity it’s about optimization. Prioritizing your spending towards things that make you happy by cutting back on things like bank fees, portfolio management fees, and spending on things you care about.”
You can also work to make your fun free. As a freelancer, you have the freedom to buy something fun – like a boat – then rent it out part-time to cover the costs of ownership. You can also hack credit card points so your fun is paid for. When you do have fun and spend your own money, you can even turn it into a business opportunity.
“When we go out, we make it count,” said Kinsella. “We spend our money at local businesses because A) it’s the absolute right thing to do to support your neighbours and B) they’re great to include in your network to help with new introductions for your freelance services.”
The key is, like it is for most things, balance.
“We still traveled one or two times a year, but we didn’t shop, we didn’t eat out as much, etc,” said ForBetterOrWorth. “I think as long as you are real with yourself about what you want and what you can live without, you can find the right balance.”
Who wants to catch FIRE?
Financial independence is a dream for a lot of people. The financial independence retire early movement breaks it down into a simple-to-follow plan with a catchy name. But regardless of what you call it, the tenets are the same. Suze Orman and other personal finance gurus call it “financial freedom,” while others call it “being rich.” It really doesn’t matter. If It Takes A Genius To Run A Business, It’s Not A Good Business
Hello,
Quick question – Can a dumb person run a good business?
No.
Can a dumb person run a great business?
Yes.
Confused?
Hang in there.
A great business doesn’t require a genius to run it.
A really great business is a brilliant, well-crafted machine.
It pretty much runs itself.
Think McDonalds.
99% of the McDonalds’ success is due to the way Ray Kroc systematized every single process so that almost anyone can step in, follow the system, and succeed. If you haven’t seen The Founder, you should definitely do that soon! It’s a great movie for any entrepreneur.
It only took ONE genius: Ray Kroc, to develop the system.
But after Ray put the system in place, ordinary folks could step in and make good money by working the system.
If it takes a genius to run a business, it’s not a good business.
This 1 Dollar Biz is a great business.
It doesn’t take a genius to run it.
If you follow the easy steps, you can make big commissions.
It generates big profits even for first-time marketers.
And if you ARE a genius?
All the better! You’ll make even more money following the system.
But this 1 Dollar Biz will work even if you’re not!

How To Recruit More Reps Without Prospecting
Whether you just started out as a Network Marketing professional but don’t want to harass your family members and friends with your business opportunity, or you just ran out of your warm market but hate the idea of cold market prospecting, this blog post is for you.
In fact, I’m going to show you the exact step-by-step strategy to attract UNLIMITED prospects to you and NEVER run out of people to talk to about your business.
Since 2010, I have been building my Network Marketing business using social media, mainly using Facebook. I have seen almost everything that doesn’t work and realized that there are actually only a few ways that do work.
In this blog post I will be sharing with you the first steps in the process.
I will be giving you your very own social media operation, something I like to call the “Facebook Facelift“.
Before we go in to it, let me begin by letting you know WHY it is so important to have an attractive profile page. So, imagine when you are trying to find someone and you reach their profile page, the first thing you do without realizing (some of you realize you do it) is you judge their personality by the things you see straight away.
If you see someone drinking a beer most of the time you might associate him or her with being a party animal.
If you see them with a pet then you might think they are animal lovers.
If you see them with a girl or boy, you might think that they in a relationship – who knows, it could be their brother or sister!
My point is, people judge others by what they see. We don’t only just judge personality but we also judge lifestyle.
Facebook is such a big part of many peoples’ lives now that we check it before we even get out of bed. In fact there have been a number of reports that state that 79% of us check Facebook before leaving bed in the morning!
With that being said, people are posting photos, videos, statuses, check-ins, and all sorts to showcase their lives to the public.
Therefore, if someone happens to land on your profile page, it needs to be attractive enough to keep people hooked on what you are all about and follow your lifestyle! Why? Well, with an attractive profile comes the following:
Likeability: people end up liking you even if you haven’t even spoken to each other, this then results in more followers/friends.
Virality: people share attractive things; the more people share, the more your content gets seen, the more followers/friends you will get.
Attention: people will pay attention to your posts more, resulting in engaged followers/friends.
It is pretty obvious that you need to build an attractive profile if you want to succeed online, and to do this is actually really simple, and costs nothing!
Pay close attention to the following “Success Steps” as your online efforts through Facebook could dramatically change!
Success Step #1 – Understand Who You Are And Keep Your Message Very Clear!
As you now appreciate, all eyes will now be on your profile and what you post, as it is how people judge our personalities and lifestyle these days online. So, ask yourself these two questions: “Who am I?” and “What do I want to portray?”.
Are you an online marketer, singer, artist, athlete, network marketer, comedian, jetsetter, family person, etc. Be clear and don’t confuse your message, as you will end up confusing the people looking at you (your profile is you right now).
It is also very important that you should not be scared about what others think; if you do, then you will get nowhere, both online and offline.
Finally, whenever you post a photo, video or a simple status update, always ask yourself the simple question of:
“Does this go in line with the image I am trying to portray?”.
Over time the people that have been following you will think:
“(Name) has changed a lot, I would love to know what they are up to now, maybe I will reach out and find out!”.
Those people that have just come across your profile will think:
“This (Name) character seems like someone I should be following, maybe I reach out and find out more!”.
Success Step #2 – Choosing A Relevant Profile Picture!
So, one of the first things a person sees when they visit your profile is your profile picture.
Not only that, but when you comment on a photo, video or status, and when you share something, or you write a new status, your profile picture is what people see next to your name on their Facebook Wall.
You can’t really change your name, but you can certainly change your profile photo.
What you really want is for someone to recognize your posts by your photo and not your name!
This is the first step to branding on your Social Media, not just Facebook!
Be sure not to use the following:
Group Photos: don’t do this, no one will know which one is you so won’t be able to relate to you.
Pet Photos: unless it’s the image you are trying to portray, don’t include your pet in the photo, the focus should all be on you.
Couple Photos: again, the focus should be on you, it’s important. You can mention your partner in the relationship section. What happens if you keep changing boyfriends or girlfriends, think about it?
Fake Photos: don’t fake it until you make it. Be real, don’t edit it, don’t hire a jet or car and pretend that you own it – you would be surprised some of the people I have helped that have used a fake photo.
With that all being said, the best thing to do is use a head shot, keep it simple, and keep it in line with what you are trying to portray remember!
If you are arty or athletic then have a profile picture displaying that. If you are a professional (online or offline) look smart, maybe even put a suit on and smile.
Some people even go a step beyond and are clever with what they wear; for instance, if you have a light skin tone, wear a dark shirt, if you have a dark skin tone then wear a light shirt!
Best thing to do is to avoid the about bullet points, have a giant smile, no distracting background, no distraction foreground, and it just be of you. Head shots do work best: look at Eric Worre’s page, Tony Robbins and Robert Kiyosaki for examples.
Success Step #3 – Be Bold With Your Cover Photo!
The biggest part of your profile in terms of size is your cover photo.
Obviously the first two things that are seen by someone on your profile are the cover photo and profile picture. It is important that you make them as bold, clear and professional as possible (if that’s the image you are going for).
Please note, that at the time of writing this blog post, Facebook cover photos are displayed at 851 wide by 315 high.Social Media FB Profile Lead Machine
This might mean nothing to you, but just use a free pixel resizing website (use picresize.com if you don’t know a site).
Be sure to be consistent with your profile picture. I mean don’t have a professional profile picture and then have a cover photo of you going wild at a party; people will get confused.
If you are a speaker at events, then have a professional headshot profile picture and then maybe a photo of you speaking at an event as your cover photo. By doing this, almost instantly your visitors will be thinking, “I wonder what they do?”.
Taglines are good too.
Let’s say you are an athlete and have a cover photo of you on the starting block of the 100m sprint. Then why not have a tagline like: “Going for Gold!” or something. It all depends on the image you are trying to portray to attract the right people in to your social circle.
Oh, and by the way, don’t put loads of text in your cover photo and distract from the rest of your page. Keep it to less than 20% – remember, Facebook are strict so stick to their guidelines.
The aim of the game with building a business using social media is to build the rapport super fast. You can get one step ahead of the game by creating a cover photo that people look at and think “I am so similar” or “Wow, I want to be like that!”.
And in this FREE Training  I share EXACTLY how I have helped create professional cover photos for over 100 Network Marketers so far.
Success Step #4 – Remove Spam Posts, Applications And Unclear Messages!
One thing almost everyone hates are those annoying notifications or posts about Candy Crush or Farmville or one of those kind of games/applications.
Make sure nothing like that appears on your wall; it is a giant turn off.
You also don’t want people thinking that you are playing those games, remember, you have an image to portray.
Another thing to note is keep an eye on posts that people tag you in and/or post on your wall.
If you are trying to come across as a business person then you don’t want people posting videos of drag racing, street fights, or car crashes and all those different stuff like that.
Make your profile clean, and keep it that way. If people continue to post stuff on your wall, then reach out to them and let them know to stop it.
Just in case you didn’t know, you can simply press delete, hide from timeline, or remove tag on the posts on your wall.
Again, it all comes back to “Who Am I?” and “What image am I trying to portray?”. Any posts that don’t tie in with that, delete it!
Success Step #5 – Be Smart With Your “About Me” Section!
Although this part is not a highlight of your profile page, it is still a place where you can make a major mistake.
Before I get to that though, it is important that you be real with what you say and once again, ensure it goes hand in hand with the image you are trying to portray.
Don’t just write that you’re amazing, you’re an expert, you’re the funniest person alive; show the kind of person you are with clever writing.
So, the one major mistake people do with this section is they don’t list their website,
Things like “Diamond Distributor at Company X” or “Affiliate for Product Y”.
Why? Simple really, but not many people really think about it.
Okay, so I visit your profile, think you are someone I want to be associated with, let’s say you are involved in Network Marketing. I am starting to wonder what company you are with and I notice a link to a certain companies website or company name. I review some of the information and move on. You have no idea what I have been thinking or that I have even visited your website.
Instead, you don’t put a website, simply a message like this: “On A Mission To Help 100 Families Lose 1000lbs In 2017, Ask Me How.” Now, when people contact you about what it is that you do, and then at least you know about their curiosity and can share your story, as well as sending them to the places you want them to go. You are now in control.
The “About Me” section is split into two sections, the introduction and information.
The introduction is where you get 140 characters to share a message like the one I stated above. Try to start off with “On A Mission To Help…” or “Helping People…”
People love others who are mission led, or doing things to help others.
The information is where you put down work related information and where you live and are from. Be clever about this.
Write CEO, Founder, Owner, Director, words of influence and importance, example, CEO of Network Marketing Professional, or Founder of Team Rhino. Whatever it might be, remember, you are the owner of your own business so you can give yourself any title you want!
Also be sure to write where you live and where you are from, people will be able to relate to that and you can create a conversation on the back of that.
I cover this section in a much more detail Social Media Prospecting & Recruiting Guide & Scrips
I share my screen and show you exactly what I mean by each success step.
Success Step #6 – Getting The Right Timing To Post!
This might seem a bit ridiculous, but getting the timing right when sending out your posts is important.
What is the point in sending a post when 100 people will see it, when that same post could be seen by 500 people?
We all have our very own “Facebook Rush Hour”.
This is when you have the most number of people you are connecting with online at any one time.
You can access this number in two ways:
Using Desktop. On the right side of Facebook you will see a sidebar, towards the bottom and it will say “MORE CONTACTS (XXX)”: it is the number in the brackets that you need to pay attention to.
Using Phone/Tablet. Within the Messenger App for Facebook, scroll down a bit on the Home section and it will say “ACTIVE NOW (XXX)”: it is the number in the brackets that you need to pay attention to.
Keep track of this number, make a note on Monday to Sunday, morning, afternoon, evening and night.
You will soon know and understand what time on each day you have the most number of people active: it will be a rough estimate.
Then with that information you will create and send your post 1 hour before. Why?
Well imagine you are driving to work, rush hour is at 7am: if you leave at 6am you completely miss it, you beat the traffic. The same applies with this process.
If you get ahead of the traffic, then the post is there for when people log on to Facebook at their usual time and then they will see it.
Planning is something almost no one does when it comes to their Facebook profile.
Be smart with the times of day that you are posting. Don’t post at 3am or 9am simply because people are either asleep or just getting in to work, and so your post might not get viewed by them. Bare this in mind when you are travelling with time differences too. From experience, 2pm and 9pm have seemed to be the best times to post.
Remember your own rush hour!
Success Step #7 – Utilize Photos, Images And Videos!
As most of you know, there are different types of posts you can make now on Facebook, like photos, videos, statuses, check-ins and life events.
Did you know, that depending on the time of day, Facebook will show you different types of posts?
They won’t show you as many videos during work hours because they know you won’t watch them, but after 7pm all the videos come out and your wall is covered in them!
First of all, I want to talk about videos on Facebook. They’re so easy to upload! You can literally do a video on your smart phone and upload it to Facebook within seconds.
Videos are well liked by Facebook: I mean if you go on to your Facebook wall now, you will probably see a video that starts to play, and if you don’t, you will if you scroll down a bit.
People like, comment and share videos and this causes it to be “viewed” by many people, including people you don’t even know.
So try it, shoot a video using your phone (in line with the image you are trying to portray) and upload it. Important: make sure to put your phone in landscape, so the phone is on its side; it will be seen by more people as it takes up less space on the Facebook news feed.
Use Facebook Live too! It is super powerful these days and nothing is more engaging; we will cover that in another blog post.
One thing to note is that if you are using YouTube, then don’t attach the link in the status itself: post it in the comments box. By doing this, more people will get to see your message.
Trust me, Facebook don’t like messages with YouTube links in the body of the message.
Secondly, I am a big fan of photo statuses.
I have tested out many posts in the past to see which got more traction: the one with just text, or the one with text and the photo. The photo always won.
So, what should be in your photos or images?
People: it is real, and you can’t fake it by finding an image on Google Images. Also, depending on what image you are trying to portray, it shows the human side of the business.
Quotes: people love seeing inspirational quotes. They often work well, and get shared, just make sure the wording along with it goes in line with what you are doing.
Events: if you attend an event, then capture it and share. Maybe you are speaking, sharing a story, or introducing someone, make sure someone gets that on camera; it will do you a world of good. Again, if you are posting links to external sites, be sure to put them in the comments box.
Lastly, real quick, Facebook check-ins are really cool, and powerful. Why? Because it shows off that you are on the move, at airports, sports stadiums, shopping, at events, concerts and so on. People seem to really like that and it’s really simple to do!
Success Step #8 – What Should You Be Posting?
I know by now you are thinking: “But I don’t know what I should be posting, I don’t want to look boring if I change the way I do things!”.
One of the questions I get asked a lot is:
“Erving, I don’t know what to post, I’m not creative!”
I took the time to create a very basic guideline and if you follow this you will be able to create content much easier than ever before.
Remember this: the more content you produce, the bigger the following you will create, the higher chance you have of going viral, and the more conversations you will end up having.
So, the guidelines.
Firstly, whatever you post must be in line with the image you want to portray. It must also attract your target market.
Secondly, it has to be at least one of the following from my  formula.
R – Results – These posts are created to get you activity. You will post things like product before and afters, customer product reviews, distributor success stories or your own experience. It is important to know that you should NEVER mention the name of the company you are involved with, or the product name. Don’t give the game away, people should ask you for more information, after you have created the curiosity.
V – Value – These posts are created to help building your credibility. Become a note-taking machine. Whether you are reading a book, attending an event, talking with your upline leader, or simply hearing someone else’s story, be sure to make notes. You can then use those notes to create value based posts that people will like, comment and share with others, as they believe it will be beneficial for their following. This will lead to more people eventually seeing your Results posts.
L – Lifestyle – These posts are created to help build your engagement. I have always said that lifestyle is for likes. You don’t have to be a jetsetter for this, you simply have to capture things you do throughout your life. Maybe you are at an event, on a beach, in a coffee shop, on a plane, reading a book or with a friend playing tennis, capture the moment, write something relevant and post it at the right time. You will get more engagement which, in time, will lead to more people viewing your Results posts.
It all is around the Results posts: you want people to take action on the information you send. But here is where most people mess it all up.
They just hammer their Facebook wall with Results based posts. They just sell.
Stop selling, and start telling. Telling stories will lead to much better results.
I tend to post 2-3 lifestyle posts, and 2-3 value posts per 1 results based post. People like people who are real and non-salesy. Think about it…Would you love to see your friends sales pitches, or would you love to listen to every call a telesales rep makes? No, so avoid doing this and you will be doing better than most.
I hope it is really clear now that you need to make a plan and stick to it.
Basically your goal is to create your profile in such a way to make sure everyone that comes across you gets a clear message of how you want them to see you. As Facebook is just a giant part of most people’s lives now, it is very important you continue to ask yourself:
“Will this post be consistent with the message I am trying to portray?”.
Eventually you won’t even need to think about it as it will become a habit.
You are probably now realizing why you are not succeeding using Facebook. Attracting people to you and keeping them hooked on your lifestyle will eventually turn into sales as you are building trust between yourself and the user. Add to that a bit of engagement with your posts and sales will start rolling in.
Just make a point of it that, from now on, you will follow the success steps above to ensure you do exactly what is needed in order to succeed!
If you feel like you got some value from this post then feel free to share this post with anyone you think might get benefit…Remember, it would be a value post
