Kigurumi is such a good alternative to traditional cosplay that I really wish the barrier to entry on it wasn't so large at times. You're trading visibility for a potentionally more unique, potentionally more accurate, and diffrent take on cosplaying a character.
Don't like how mixed fabrics feel on your skin? The only thing touching your body directly ever is the hadatai and what you choose to wear under it. With options on the materials chosen for them.
Don't want the social expectation of talking? Don't want to do makeup? Don't like showing your face? Don't like the feeling of wearing a wig/not wanting to do your own hair? Don't want to worry about your facial posing in pictures?
Yes, they introduce new challenges but they're some challenges people might prefer over the traditional cosplay route.
I wish wasn't so expensive and that it was something way more people who are interested in trying cosplay should would consider.

Did a little stream with my new mask, I'm really happy with how she turned out~ Just need to get a new hadatai that fits her skin tone a bit better and do some modifications to the outfit so it fits me a bit better.
