As the shock slowly faded from Jude's soft features her brows furrowed and made apparent her real feelings. A moment ago she had been surprised, taken by the sudden turn of events. Lucien's sudden burst of power had come out of nowhere. Now that she wasn't surprised anymore she was frustrated. She hated that the first thing she had to think about was her father. You're no killer. And even if Madoc was wrong, even if she had killed and wouldn't hesitate doing it again, she knew that it still wouldn't be enough for him. Jude could almost hear him right now. How this wasn't an honorable thing to do. That it was sloppy and that she shouldn't have let Lucien act in her stead. He wanted her to be a certain thing while she had developed into something else. But she was still bitter that she couldn't be what he wanted her to be. And Lucien didn't make it any easier on her. “Can we at least kill the next person bothering us quietly?” she asked. He had screamed and wailed and it could've been entirely possible for them to be caught. While leaving him to consider her question she got into a squat before the dead man. Dressed in fine garments she looked entirely out of place while she rummaged through his pockets. He was indeed a thief, but that was no reason to kill him. No, that was an excuse Lucien had made up. And to make him see that, she took his hand and pressed something into it. A locket she had recovered from the corpse, in it proof that someone would miss him.

Stolen and raised by her parents' murderer, 𝐉𝐔𝐃𝐄 𝐃𝐔𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐄 grew up in the Faerie Kingdom of 𝐄𝐋𝐅𝐇𝐀𝐌𝐄 alongside her two sisters. Faeries hurt her, humiliated her, even tried to kill her, but she never accepted that she was lesser just because she was mortal. And she never accepted that she didn't belong. Instead of bowing to them she developed ravenous ambitions. There was a place for her at 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐇𝐈𝐆𝐇 𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐓 and she would lie, spy and murder for it.
