He wanted to kill her. He wanted to kill her because he needed her, and he hated how dependant he had become.
Seonghwa wanted to kill that woman for being so beautiful and irresistible, for being the eventual cause of his death, because he knew he wouldn’t last long away from her. Even if he wanted to, he acknowledged that it was only possible to watch from afar for so long. He wanted her, Seonghwa’s body called for hers.
He had lasted two years just observing the woman, managing to calm himself down every time a man dared to touch her, managing to back away and not grab her by the hips and pull her to his chest whenever her body unknowingly teased his with a short skirt, managing to take a deep breath when she tied her hair up and exposed that pretty neck of hers…
He wanted to travel along your curves and get drunk in your body, Seonghwa wanted to make you scream until every worry of yours washed off. He wanted to mark you and make you his for the rest of your life.
Those two years came to a halt abruptly one night.
The night was foggy and it had been raining just a couple minutes ago, so the sidewalk was wet. The road beside her was illuminated by the faint streetlights and headlights of the few passing cars.
Seonghwa followed her movements intently, although she could not see him. She looked tired, yet happy that her shift was over and that she got to go home.
Suddenly, the shadow of a man he didn’t know and had never seen approached her, slowly and messily. The male tripped over his feet and made an unnecessary amount of noise with his heavy breathing, but she didn’t hear him because of the loud music blasting through her earphones.
Seonghwa’s eyes widened, once he saw the rusty knife on his hand and the vengeful look on his eyes, and he tried to yell, forgetting for a second that she couldn’t hear him.
He could only watch with fear, a feeling he had not known until that night, as the man stepped further and eventually caught up to her. He numbly pierced the body Seonghwa had lusted over for so long with the knife once, twice, thrice… Enough times to make sure you wouldn’t walk out alive.
He then left the knife in you and stumbled away to a place he wouldn’t be found.
Seonghwa approached the limp body lying on the ground. The fresh stab wounds were visibly deep. The blood started being washed away from her skin as the rain started pouring once more, and her face against the concrete became colder.
  “Y/N…”
The man reached his hand to touch her, but he retrieved it and spoke to himself for a couple of seconds, trying to rationalize.
"If I touch her, there’s no going back. If I do this, there’s no going back. I will be as good as dust the second she starts breathing again.“
There wasn’t much to think about really, these words held no meaning to Seonghwa and he knew it, no amount of suffering, pain, or punishment would make him back away from the opportunity of seeing her smile once more.
Call it love, lust or obsession, but Seonghwa no longer wanted a world without his angel in it.
His long, muscular arms swept her up from the ground and he held the woman in bridal style.
He looked up into the sky and held her lifeless body against his chest. The veins in his neck and around his arms became black and prominent, almost looking like dark tree branches encircling his body. His eyes faded into the same color and he yelled incomprehensible words into the sky.
It was almost as if he was being killed from the inside out. His face was scrunched in anger and despair as he held you tightly, almost just like if he was holding onto his only hope., but he never lost his composure, afraid he’d drop you or hurt you.
Once he was done, the same Seonghwa looked down at her face, through his dark, wet bangs that fell over his eyes, and noticed her eyes fluttering open. He smiled slightly at the sight of life in her body once more.
The blood inside her started flowing and her once pale, blank face, regained its colour and its liveliness.
The woman looked at whoever was carrying her.
A sudden lightning bolt lit up the sky behind the man embrancing her, and she could swear she saw a big pair of dark, feathery wings ripping out of his back.
Maybe she should’ve yelled for help, maybe she should have tried to run, but all she could do was fall unconscious in the man’s arms from the shock, and hope that it would all be okay when she woke up.
