this blog is dedicated to finding content such as storyboards, 3d models, behind-the-scenes work, lost media, and anything else like that. Thank you to all of those who have worked on these projects. We all appreciate your work so much. I just wanted to make a blog to have it all together in a neat little space and to find stuff that was forgotten about.

Rare look at the making of the film with some concept art included and a really neat Astro Statue.

I thought I posted this here but apparently I didn't? Here's a clip of that lost Astro Boy pilot. It's the only clip we have. I already contacted the animator (Fung Wan Fung) asking if he had any more footage, but he only kept the part he had animated.

These figures are truly a mystery. These are prototypes for the 2009 movie. These sculpts (the ones of Astro himself at least) are COMPLETELY different from the ones that were actually put on store shelves. Why did they toss these designs? These designs are so much better than what we got!
I just don’t understand what happened. I can barely find anything for these on the internet. I found these by searching Astro Boy’s Chinese name with “toy” added to it. These were all on the same site and I reverse image searched them and nothing came up. It’s also very odd because the one Astro has “4in vehicles” instead of his name. That would make me question that these were bootlegs, but it’s obvious they can’t be. It would also make me question if there was meant to be vehicles released with the Astro Boy set of toys.
There’s also the site that’s on these. I’m going to search it up to see if it still exists and whether or not it’s safe to see if I can find anything else on these.
