Can we just take a moment to appreciate this interaction with Araj?
"Naturally, I always ask first-" (these days, anyway) "I'm civilized. Unlike you."
He's been letting you handle this interaction up until this point, but her last dig was a step too far. But he barely deigns to address her - he's addressing all of you, in his party. Watch it slower, just for fun.
The snark. The side-eye. The hand gesture literally brushing her off. The measured glance to make sure she's listening to how much he #doesnotcare. Turning to look at the rest of the party.
Araj, thoroughly unimpressed.
But then she suggests something dangerous to you, personally. And now he's really pissed. Now she gets his full attention.
"She said no! You should learn the meaning of the word."
Punctuating the no! by leaning forward. It's beautifully disrespectful, he's talking down to her and wants her and you to know that she's not worth your time.
He's come a long way from that first Araj interaction in Act 1. Learned to say no, not only for himself, but for you.

Origin-unique answers to Orin impersonating the Rivington smith
all of the origins have unique answers to the questions for finding your perfect weapon, so i thought i'd compile them all!
Question: Tell me, how do you like to kill?
Wyll: With a lot of heat and a little panache.
Karlach: Fast, heavy, and hard.
Astarion: I like to mix it up. Sometimes it's a subtle thing, sometimes it's a bloodbath.
Shadowheart: If I have to kill, I'd rather it be quick and discreet. Mess is for amateurs and maniacs.
Lae'zel: With maximum carnage. Killing is a duty. But spilling blood is a thrill. (the contrast with shadowheart's answer ahaha)
Gale: I call on the Weave to subdue my enemies. It's effective, though hardly its loftiest application.
Dark Urge: (Option 1) I like to make them bleed. To sever arteries, tear flesh, to make them scream. (Option 2) It flows through me as raw inspiration, I never know what my next kill will look like.
Question: And when you kill someone, what do you feel?
Wyll: Bold. Brave, even - if the kill is just.
Karlach: I feel right. I don't kill anyone who doesn't deserve it.
Astarion: I feel alive.
Shadowheart: Alive. Nothing like taking a life to make you appreciate your own delicate existence.
Lae'zel: Sated, as if my parched throat has been fully quenched.
Gale: Powerful, but responsible. To take a life is a grave matter, whether with good or ill intent.
Dark Urge: (Option 1) I feel the most intense pleasure. Arousal, even. (Option 2) Exhilarated beyond compare. It is my purpose. (Option 3) I feel nothing. It's like I'm not even present.
Question: Do you think you could turn your weapon on those closest to you?
Wyll: To pierce a heart I hold dear? I can hardly bear the thought. (i have to point out that this does not technically answer the question lmao not being able to bear the thought and not being able to do it are two different things. king of answering evasively)
Karlach: My friends? Absolutely not. Not ever.
Astarion: Bold of you to assume anyone is that close to me. (another evasive answer lol)
Shadowheart: A... necessary evil, perhaps, if circumstances are dire enough.
Lae'zel: My targets earn their deaths. If I slay you, you were no ally of mine.
Gale: Hardly a course of action to relish. But were the straits dire enough... perhaps.
Dark Urge: (Option 1 - Dark Urge given slayer form) Could I? I already have. (Option 2 - Dark Urge not given slayer form) I do all I can to keep my loved ones safe from my blade.

My favorite thing to do during a battle is to have Astarion bite someone. Like yes obviously his bite has a huge effect bc he’s a vampire but it’s just… so funny. I’m sicking my feral bf on the enemies and telling him to bite them and he’s thriving

Patch 6 came out but the next chapter has yet to be posted, it is a sad day
The Arrangement
Summary: You managed to convince Astarion not to go through with the rite of profane ascension. He remains a vampire spawn, and you now offer your blood from time to time to help with his sanguine hunger until a solution is found.
Even though you had both decided to stay as friends back in Moonrise Towers, lines begin to blur once more as other cravings come to the surface… and things with Astarion are seldom uncomplicated.
Pairing: Astarion x female!Tav
Rating: Explicit/18+
Setting: Canon compliant. Post-endgame.
Warnings (will be added as the series progresses): Blood drinking. Pining. Biting. Sexual tension. Mentions of past abuse. Explicit smut.
Chapter 1 - Bloodlust
Chapter 2 - In Between
Chapter 3 - Inconvenience
Chapter 4 - Solution
Chapter 5 - Confrontation
Chapter 6 - Broken
Chapter 7 - Tension
Chapter 8 - Revelations
Chapter 9 - The Arrangement
Chapter 10 - A New Way
Chapter 11 - First Light
Chapter 12 - In the Beginning
Chapter 13 - Tempest
Chapter 14 - Trance

BG3 "Story" Tips
These are tips meant to help you get the most out of the game's story on a first or second playthrough. These are less about mechanics and more about how the developers "want" you to engage with the game. Two characters are mentioned by name, so minor spoilers for Act 1.
On the minimap, characters appear as white (your POV character), blue (members of your party or summons), green (allies), yellow (neutral), or red (enemies, will attack on sight). You can also get character outlines to show this.
In general, you'll get more out of the game if you talk to neutral NPCs before attacking them, even if you think (or know) that you'll end up fighting them eventually. BG3 rewards asking questions first and shooting later.
Relatedly, there are a few "bad guy areas" full of people you'll want to fight in most good-aligned runs. Same deal here - try talking to them first to get more out of the game.
Books and other readable materials contain a lot of information about the game's story and lore. However, books contained in chests are much more likely to be directly plot-relevant than those contained in bookshelves. Be sure to read those, both because their contents are relevant and because the act of clicking the read button may change the game.
Use Speak with Animals potions (or the spell, if you have it) on at least one character in your party every morning. It unlocks a lot of content you wouldn't otherwise see.
In general, BG3 rewards a completionist playstyle. If you have the patience, explore as much of the map as you can.
Rolan is found in the Druid Grove (early act 1 area) near the first shopkeeper. If you don't talk to him and pass a DC 10 Persuasion check to convince him to stay, some fun NPCs will "die" between Act 1 and Act 2 and fail to show up for the remainder of the game.
Minthara is a character you are likely to fight midway through Act 1. If you defeat her by toggling on nonlethal damage (under Passives) before dealing the killing blow, you unlock extra content in Act 2. Note that nonlethal damage only works with melee attacks, not ranged or spell attacks. You also need to fight her before you fight most of the other enemies in the area.

the pretend plot of bg3: you've gotta get these tadpoles out and stop a giant floating brain with delusions of grandeur
the real plot of bg3: in order to date us (the party) you must defeat our seven evil exes: a half-demon warlock patron, the literal goddess of magic, a vampiric lord, an insane cult leader , an archdemon, the goddess of darkness, and finally, the Trauma
