[MINI-EVENT] MONSTER INFO POST
art contributed by tumblr member jonariku
The cocoons spread throughout the city grew a steadily increasing heartbeat throughout the duration of the day. Quiet at first, but near the end the sound was so loud that it sent vibrations throughout the entire city. Cracks began to form down the sides of the structures, and before long what was contained within had been set loose on the city.
Spiraling black strings of matter burst, overflowing before taking on the form of a physical manifestation. Reptilian scales embedded within the beastâs skin, limbs latching onto one another as foreign beings towered above the majority of the city. The gatekeepers, slightly transparent in color yet tainted by nature. Reapers foregoing lore, they werenât in possession of scythes nor were their bones bare. It didnât matter as their tasks were all the same - to strip breath from lungs, motion from limbs, sight from eyes, noise from tongue. Sounds emanate from their bodies, voices dissimilar to those who roam the city. Upon further inspection, these creatures compound were made of the felled and forgotten.
Taking several steps forward, long limbs drag across concrete shattering infrastructures at will, leaving scraped imprints along the ground. It didnât take long for most to surmise that this would be among one of the most difficult bouts the city has ever seen.
Over 300 feet is size each, they would certainly be the biggest.

It had been quite some time since he witnessed the power of a Djinn. He had heard, of course, what the power of this particular Djinn could do and had done to Kougyoku and the anger that had bubbled within her as a result-- but now, it was a preferable ally in the face of everything happening. It could knock out enemies without resulting in any fatal injuries.Â
As they fell to the ground, Aladdin cast his gaze over Sinbadâs appearance. It was rather impressive how a Djinn Equip could allow a human to so closely resemble Zepar, if his memories of Alma Torran served him correctly as to his true form. It wasnât as if he had ever summoned any of Sinbadâs Djinnâs into the world, even if heâd very much like to speak to them-- as he would any of the Djinn.Â
â Thank you very much, â he speaks slowly, leaning against the wall of the store. The window had a hastily thrown âclosedâ sign thrown up, he noticed. No doubt the owners had heard the ruckus outside, and he was glad they did. The store was his favorite, old but full of excellent material and run by a gentle elderly couple. The idea of bringing trouble into their lives was something heâd hoped to avoid so the appearance of the King in the face of his predicament had come just in time. â As for me-- âÂ
â -- Iâm not too bad. I mean, Iâve definitely experienced worse, â But in times like those, he had either used his own healing magic or the magic of other magicians in his company. Right now, he was without both and bleeding quite a bit. Even if his pain tolerance was high, it would eventually cause him to faint. â I will likely need the wound to be closed up soon though. With everything happening, collapsing isnât really something Iâd like to happen. â
Ordinarily, Aladdinâs insistence on calling him uncle might have made him flinch (or worse). Given the circumstances, however, itâs all but forgotten. Instead of nitpicking, Sinbad raises an eyebrow at the young magician, clearly intrigued⌠and rightly so, he should think. Itâs unusual to see someone so talented fall prey to such a simple attack - much less when borgs are, from his understanding, similar to a reflex in dangerous situations. Surely, Aladdin must have known heâd be in danger as a magicianâŚ
Yet he takes the hit and turns to the only person he recognizes, more or less counting on Sinbad to protect him in a time of crisis. It is a responsibility Sinbad has always borne well, and he has no intentions of going back on that now. âI suggest you cover your ears, then. I doubt this man is alone, so I might as well knock out anyone else whoâs lying in wait.â No more warning is given before he calls out to the Djinn of Spirit and Puppetry, cloaking his own body in Zeparâs likeness.
âReady, Aladdin? Here goes!â
The tension in the area is pierced by an inhuman SHRIEK, clearly audible within several yards of where he floats. Those who hear his cry fall almost instantly, straddling the line between asleep and unconscious. They are no danger as they rest, so long as no one sneaks up on them unaware.
âThey should be asleep for an hour, at least, though I imagine most will sleep a bit longer. That gives us plenty of time to get you somewhere safe. How bad is it?â

It took a moment for his words to register. Then it all made sense-- the nerves, the fear of hurting him, a friend of Morgianaâs. So this person was-- â Oh! â What a shock it was once his jumbled thoughts were placed together again, especially when the information was given to him by someone he had only just met and not from Mor herself. He was absolutely positive his friend would have told him eventually but it wasnât as if she felt that comfortable talking about matters such as these without preparing herself first. It was completely understandable, but still a surprise.Â
â I see! You two are a couple then? â The word âgirlfriendâ and âboyfriendâ still sounded quite foreign to him, much more used to the courtships and formal relationships he had witnessed during his travels. That said, it was expected when his company was usually that of royalty. Romance wasnât exactly something he cared for when his priorities were placed elsewhere-- but his friendâs happiness was still important. â What a surprise, I wasnât expecting that at all, â
â Iâm glad for Mor but I am curious too-- have you been together long? How did this come about? â He had more questions, but that would do for now. The last thing Aladdin wanted to do was overload someone apparently dear to Morgiana.Â
Calming down.. calming down.. After several MORE minutes of panicking, Morgan would finally calm himself down before he could answer Aladdin properly. He felt rather silly now that he looked at it, being told not to worry and here he was worrying. Still, it was a rather sharp turn to discover this boy being Morgianaâs closest friend. The age difference was a bit interesting to see. He seemed rather mature for his ageâbut then again so was Morgiana so it shouldnât have surprised him that much.Â
â Alright.. alright.. a-anyways. My name is Morgan and the.. relationship between Morgiana and I are.. â Now feeling rather flustered and embarrassed as he pushed his two fingertips together he would let out a small laugh.Â
â W-Well.. she is my.. I believe the term would be girlfriend and I am her.. well.. boyfriend. Meaning that we would be in a relationship..! So um.. yes. That is.. how I know her and how I eventually came to learn your name. âÂ
â The pleasure really is all mine of course, Aladdin. âÂ

Despite being in a different world, the rukh remained. Their whispers were a constant in his life and even if he was unable to manipulate them to their utmost ability, their presence was reassuring. Still, it was rare that another could see them too-- even more so, that they were near Aladdinâs age.Â
â Of course, they are dear friends of mine, â It was clear that she was not a magician from his world. Even so, her body radiated power.Â
Black meant the stranger had encountered Judar-- troubling but not a surprise if she had followed the white as well. â The black Rukh was probably due to the presence of... an acquaintance of mine. They originate from our home you see, and tend to stick close. Since you can see them, Iâm guessing youâre able to use magic? â At least, that was the common factor he had seen before.
@assharas
â
â White butterflies. Well, they werenât real butterflies, she could sense the magic behind them. Sheâd seen black ones earlier on, that had flocked to a man garbed in a similar colour, but she could only wonder what sort of person the white ones flocked to amidst such a war; particularly when most in the city seemed incapable of seeing them.
Trailing them, she was ultimately lead to a young man.
âI guess you can see them too? These⌠white things? I saw some earlier too, but they were black.â

â It really depends on which time you last saw, Uncle! â
He had remained in Kou until Hakuryuu abdicated, but beyond that the Magi had lived within the Dark Continent for those long three years. While it had been an experience, one he thoroughly made the most of, it wasnât as if he had lived up to his habit of wandering. Aladdin may not have lived and seen as much as the Yunan, but he was just as prone to moving around. â If I recall correctly, you came here sometime after the Summit? I suppose I have seen quite a bit more than you if that holds true, though Iâm sure youâve garnered information about events that unfolded afterwards, âÂ
And judging from the way he spoke, Aladdin quickly decided his theory was correct. No longer did the King Candidate look at the Magi as he had when he was in his younger years, though that was to be expected. It wasnât as if Aladdin was an ally to Sindria, which in his point of view wasnât even present, nor was he but a child anymore. But even so a strained relationship wasnât desired. Sinbad, even if distrustful towards the Magi, would still likely desire information that Jaâfar couldnât give him. That, and they shared a homeland. If anything, Aladdin would prefer hostilities to be kept to a minimum.
â But yes, I did notice! It takes some time to regain what youâve lost here so Iâm pleased you wonât have to worry about getting too hurt, â A pause, his finger tracing under his chin curiously. â Though, there seems to be quite a few more powerful figures around lately when compared to my other visits, â Thoughts of the girl who burned like a volcano came to mind, how fierce the rukh around her became. â How other worldly abilities would compare to the power of those who dwell within the metal vessels, itâs something Iâve been trying to read into through books from other worlds Iâve found here and there. Magic seems to come in many shapes and forms, but the power of the weapons you wield seem unique to our home! â
â Still, as much as Iâd love to learn more, Iâd hate for the violence to get worse. â As always. Reading into it further would have to suffice. And regardless, the metal vessels ultimately utilize magic in their attacks. A counter to magic could work against the wielders too, not only magicians-- that was another theory.Â
So itâs been nearly four years since Aladdin last lived in this city, has it? At that time, he wore something reminiscent of Yamuraihaâs clothing back when they first met, when she served the Mustaâsim Kingdom⌠which leads him to believe heâd been taken right from Magnostadt Academyâs campus, or shortly thereafter. The summit might have been a few months later at most, which means⌠Aladdin may remember more than even Jaâfar, as he suspected.
âFour years⌠I imagine youâve seen a lot in that time, hm?â As a traveler, or as Alibaba relayed to him, a second Magi to the Kou Empire⌠no matter where he was, he was sure to have seen the warâs end, and heâs seen more of what followed than Sinbad himself. It isnât something heâll admit, not outright, but he wonders know if his clothing might give him away, just as Aladdinâs did those many months ago.
When it comes Aladdinâs turn to ask questions, Sinbad answers as simply as he can, hiding essential truths from a Magi he can no longer trust. If heâs spent any more time in Yunanâs company since the summit⌠heâs certain his head will have been filled with an old manâs prattling about how terrible a person and king he is.
âEven in the midst of recent events, Iâve not run into much trouble, no.â Aside from a rough outing with Jaâfar and a tumultuous run-in with the White Fangâs new leader mere hours after she slaughtered the last one - and tumultuous is being a tad generous. âIâm sure youâve noticed that Iâve had my metal vessels returned to me,â he points out. âIf I were to run into any sort of trouble, I wouldnât have any trouble vanquishing it.â In a manner of speaking.

It was a strange place, the amusement park. After an hour spent within, Aladdinâs favor was given to the performers who walked throughout the park, creating fun and entertaining the masses. Interested in their tricks, Aladdin had borrowed a balloon to try and create one of the creatures he had seen earlier. It was harder than it looked, he soon discovered, so instead of looking rather pathetic in the open he moved to the shade in an attempt to create something presentable.
â Ah, would you like it? â One younger than himself, followed by several others had appeared at his side, curious. The balloon animal was, if anything, decent. Nothing like the one had seen prior, but a good first try. â Itâs supposed to be a dog! â The experience had reminded him it would be better to stick to academics. Though, before he could hand his creation over, they were pulled away by one with a familiar face.Â
â Miss... Bishamonten, right? Itâs been a while, but you havenât changed at all. â
@assharas
¡¡¡ âBishamonten-sama! Look at all these things!â
¡¡¡ Today she was kind to escort some of her younger recruits to the amusement park. As willing as she was in wanting to treat them for the longest time now, with so much happening around her she was mindful of the perks that could have happened at any moment. She decided to overlook today, however, hoping nothing would go wrong while they were out. Keeping them in her sight as they wandered for a bit, one happened to come across an older that was crouched in a corner. Jestingly, they tapped to get his attention. Seeing all of this unfold right before her eyes, she quickly rushed over to pull them back, uncertain of who or what this person could have been and what they were capable of.
¡¡¡ âForgive me,â she quickly spoke before keeping the child close by her side. What an odd sight it was though⌠why would anyone be crouched in the corner alone?

The answer didnât allow for much insight into the organisation but it still brought some satisfaction. Observant was a way to describe him, he thought with his smile growing ever so slightly. but it wasnât hard to read a personâs character when the whispers of the rukh told him all he needed to make his assumptions. Â
â I suppose Iâm used to observing, â he replies with a nod, finishing the latest dressings with a knot to secure the bandage. The material was gaudy, not a foolproof solution nor a permanent means of healing, but it would do for the time being until one who could actually restore wounds made an appearance. â But youâd be surprised at how many ways you can help the dead. Healing doesnât always mean physical wounds, nor do the dead necessarily disappear when they breathe their last, â
â -- still, I am grateful for whoever gave the request, even if you donât care for it. The dead somehow return to life in this place but the process seems to have slowed considerably. I donât think that wherever they are forced to linger is preferable to the city itself, so preventing it seems preferable. â
Tatara looks back at the boy who called for him, his expression neutral and uninterested, just like how he feels for the ones moaning in agony in the shelter. Â
âThe Aogiri Tree serves to help those who are forgotten bysociety.â Perhaps he could spare a few minutes of his time talking with the child, after all, just imagine how much lives are to be taken away without him out there helping.
âSuch an observant child you are. Yes, their lives mean nothing to me, but an acquaintance requested me to.â He rests on the wall nearest to him then crosses his arms. âWithout their request, you wouldnât even have anyone totend, because it isnât necessary to heal the dead.

Donât be alarmed, Hive City, if you walk by Sector 6 and hear the gentle giggling coming from the woods.. Did you see that? No, of course not, thereâs no such thing as fairies. You must be losing your mind. If you hear soft voices and sing song tones, it would be best to stay away from District Mu.. at least, for now.
[[Hello hello hello my lovely muns! Itâs been three years since Iâve done a mini event so Iâm really excited. Last time I did one of these I had so much fun, so here we go again! Iâm stoked, Iâve been planning this for months.
On July 25th, I (well, Light) will be hosting a Midsummerâs Night Dream themed summer ball which will take place in Sector 6, District Mu! The ball itself takes place on the 25th, but starters for the ball can be written from the 25th of July to the 1st of August, so the ball itself will have only been one night in Citta canon, but the event will be a week real time. Itâll be a semi formal to formal type deal and Iâll be contacting a couple people through out the month (IC) about things like food, drink, decor, etc.
So! Do me a favor and reblog this post! Just like the last ball I did, Iâm going to be making invitations for everyone who does (Citta affiliated blogs only, obviously) which means your submit box needs to be open so your character can get theirs.
Use the tag #ca midsummer as easy access for starters, dash commentary, etc. so that itâs easier for people to follow. Thatâs the tag Iâll be using for updates or news about the event as well!
If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me about it! Iâd love to answer them! IMs are open as well if you feel more comfortable contacting me that way. I hope people will enjoy doing this event as much as Iâve enjoyed planning it!]]

â The conflict, or this conflict, has been building up for some time, â He eyes the injured sadly, smile lowering as he turns his gaze back up at the girl. She really was new here, facing perhaps the worst of what he has experienced in the city during her first days. It is pitiful, a sad fate, but she faces it bravely and Aladdin supposes that is the best way to be in days like these. Her question is expected, not a surprise, but his best reply comes with a shrug. â There are clinics youâd expect in any city, but they are heavily guarded by those who wish to inflict harm. People are afraid and they hide rather than seek help. We can only do our best to assist those whose pain comes to light, rather than find those who donât want to be found-- in a way, it is better that they donât witness the horrors outside, â
It wasnât a surprise that this girl too would hide her wounds, though Aladdinâs ever prying eye caught the wounded limb with ease. He stops his words as he stands, now looking down at the girl rather than up. A hand rests on his hip as she stops before leaving, back and injured arm facing him rather than hidden from view.Â
â Itâs always like this. Violence comes and goes in this city, you just happened to be caught up in the newest outbreak. Those behind the scenes, the scientists, use their power to make difficulties for those who live within the confines of the city, â Heâd seen his fair few during the broken year he had spent in the city. â I could try to answer any questions. Being new here is unsettling, and you are wounded. This camp has just sent out scouts to find more injured. You can rest easy for a moment, then set out after if you so wish. â
This place is starting to feel more and more like your home world instead of Earth. When youâd first woken up here, youâd taken it to be nearly the same as Earth, only with scientist overlords and people from all types of worlds. Youâd expected there to still be crime. What world wouldnât have that? You hadnât expected what felt like a war to break out. People with powers attacking anyone they were angry at or accidentally hurting themselves and others as they struggled to control their magic. Others laying in the streets, burned, crushed, dead, or dying. Youâd almost forgotten what it felt like and you arenât glad for the reminder.
âThe conflict only just started,â you mused, looking around at the camp. There were others laying in beds, patched up by this man and whoever else is helping out, you suppose. âDoes this place not have a hospital or do these conflicts happen often?â You look back down at the man, frowning deeply. The way others were acting, you wouldnât be shocked if these types of things do happen often. Surprised, but not shocked.
ââŚâ You move your arm behind your back, hiding the tiny burns that youâd acquired earlier. You donât have the time to stick around and get patched up. Others are in danger and you need to protect anyone you can. More dangerous than usual⌠So this place did end up like this a lot, with the strong taking advantage of the weak. You rub the arm hidden behind your back, eyes narrowing.
You move to leave, a thank you on your lips. You really do need to get moving. But then he catches your attention. âWhatâs the atmosphere been like? I only woke up here a few weeks ago. I donât know about whatâs been going on.â

  â Iâm certain! â
Danger wasnât new to the boy, already experienced in brutalities such as the results of war since his youth. But while he lacked many of the abilities he had then, that was made up for with like minded people who shared the city. This person too seemed determined in her goal to help end the conflict-- she had an air to her that spoke wonders, one that he admired greatly. The rukh practically sang its praises to her. It was a good sign.Â
â Donât worry for me, miss, my defenses are quite strong. If travelling with you means I can help more than I have been previously, Iâll gladly come. Instead, focus on your own goals and if you deem it right, consider me an ally towards them. â
@assharas
âAre you sure you want to travel with me? It could get a little    dangerous.â
Being joined up by another person wasnât something she didnât like, but someone of her rank would probably draw some attention. It was clear to her that they were now recognizing that the outsiders of the city had different ranks; they viewed them as troublesome no matter but, but now they were trying to weed out the strongest.Â
If someone got hurt because of her, Lucina wouldnât be able forgive herself.

Her reaction came as expected, surprised at his sudden growth as others had been before her. Both times he had encountered the woman, he had been but a child, and neither had been in a time of conflict. It had been more innocent, music related. Here and now, he had left Ugoâs flute at home. It would have been wrong to damage the precious gift given to him by his friend. â Iâve aged, actually. Four years, almost. I returned home for that period, longer than the last as you can see, âÂ
The feeling of a hand on his cheek is foreign, being mothered something unusual. The last time was perhaps during his time in Sindria, before his schooling. That was when everything erupted at once. He had grown up in one quick burst, while still a child. It was nice, a pleasant change, but given the troubling times he couldnât exactly savor it with ease.Â
â Mm. Iâm quite able to help others and not doing so would make me feel worse than I already do. That said, I lack the ability to heal my own wounds and fatigue as I once could back home. It is... a bother, â Of course, he had been working at helping others since he woke up that morning-- the sun, now completely hidden as it set beneath the buildings of the city, signaled how long he had been working for those worse off than he was. Seeing this, a slight frown crossing his features, he realized he would be more of a burden than a help if he continued as he was.Â
Even so, he dwells on it as he briefly gnaws on his bottom lip, eyes trained on the floor. For a moment, he thinks to refuse-- he would only be a bother. Then again, this was someone he knew. She was kind, and would probably insist. â --that would be nice, actually. I doubt Iâm fit to help as I am. â
Power was a funny thing, and when youâd never had it before in your life, it was easy to think yourself superior, invincible, unstoppable. It was easy to let that feeling run away with you, and just so, it was easy to have the ground ripped out from under you when someone proved that having power didnât mean you could simply do as you pleased. Generally speaking, Ari didnât like hurting humans if she could help it, but by this point in the situation, they were seldom leaving her any other choice.      The person sheâd saved was someone very blatantly not human, likely one of the people that had started appearing in the city from other worlds in recent weeks, and had very nearly bolted once the other person was dealt with, injury and all, until they saw her wings. Now, in the middle of patching them up, she turns upon hearing a voice, and for an instant, not recognizing the young man before her. It takes her a bit longer than sheâd care to to place him, during which she finishes her healing, and when she does, she can only blink a few times before offering a faint smile, head bobbing in greeting.      âWell, youâve shot up a bit since I last saw ya, havenât ya?â
Pushing the person sheâd been tending to off with a slight pat to their arm, she turned her full attention to Aladdin, taking in the small injuries with a click of her tongue.      âTake it youâve been tryinâ tâ deal with all this awfulness firsthand?â She asks softly, rhetorically, and reaches slender fingers out to his cheeks, looking him over in true critical maternal fashion. âThis placeâs always been a mess; itâs jusâ more obvious now that weâre not thâ only ones who can screw everythinâ up.â Letting her hands drop, lips purse and she casts another concerned look over his person. âDâ ya wanna get some rest? Yâ look fit tâ keel over.âÂ

Glad the other was alright, he smiled. It had worked, and the opposing side had become rather confused in the aftermath of the clash. The area around them wasnât too damaged either-- some rust would occur to the pipes that crawled up the sides of the buildings but Aladdin could live with that. Those damages were nothing when compared to human lives. And while the new arrival had begun to speak, the Magi did not hold back as he quickly grabbed his wrist and ran back into the alley he had previously come out of, hiding behind a wall within it.Â
âYes, it was, â he says softly as his back is pressed against the stone wall, head peaking out for a second as he waits for the water-wielder to follow them, as he obviously would. â Iâd usually go for something more complicated to prevent property damage but it seems like, for now, Iâll have to return to the basics. Not a bad thing, but being limited is irksome, âÂ
It was indeed a pleasure to meet one with knowledge on magic, heâd surely enjoy a conversation with him when time allowed it, but for now heâd have to deal with the troublemaker making their presence known through angry grumbles. Holding a finger to his lips as they walked nearer the corner they had hidden behind, staff at the ready, Aladdin quickly jabbed it into their side-- rendering them unconscious. Times like these reminded him of how useful his martial arts training had been in the long run.Â
â Alright! Weâre in the clear now! â
The skirmishes around the city had been growing. More of the Naturals were coming out the woodwork. More had been given powers, and there were the ones that were responsible but the majority was letting it out like fireworks on the fourth. Luckily for him, they had no training and in some cases harmed themselves. After taking care of a small group, tying the three of them together with rope.Â
When he was done however, he noticed the street was wet and there wasnât a cloud in the sky or a broken hydrant in the fray. His curiosity got the better of him as he investigated which was a mistake as a torrent of water came rushing towards him and a dude in blue hair. Which is reminiscent of Nat. At full power he could have portaled it somewhere else but right now. Things look like it was gonna get-Â
âSteamy?âÂ
Eyes looked around only seeing the surprised Naturalâs face and blue buddy swirled in steam.Â
âYo! Im okay but..Was that fire magic? A classic but it works!â

( @louxiu )Â
He had heard the name a few times while helping those in the camps set up to assist the injured, in the shelters scattered across the city, and by now it had grown past a budding curiosity. Once again he sat cross legged, hunched over yet another hurt individual covered in wounds caused by some sort of power-- hard to tell, fire perhaps given the burns. The one who had dropped several off seemed rather uncaring of their welfare, unlike others who genuinely desired to help the wounded. It was unusual, but perhaps a sense of duty rather than a sense of compassion was held. Regardless, he was just glad they arrived before they succumbed to the injuries garnered.Â
   Though, Aladdinâs interest remained piqued.Â
He spoke while unfolding bandages, gaze trained on the injured rather than the one preparing to leave. Obviously, he had no further interest. The same couldnât be said for the Magi. â Are you a member of that group-- Aogiri, wasnât it?
