giovedì / cascade failure by l.m. sagas
Tumblr media
Cascade Failure was in both ways emotional, as it was full of adventure. The crew is amazing, and their bond together is so wholesome and strong. You honestly couldn’t ask for a better group of people watching your back. I feel we are going to get more of our little vengeance seeker, Drestyn, and maybe (just maybe) more of Anke. But all that matters is that Jal got to see his family again (okay, it’s not all that matters, but it was a pretty emotional moment).
rating: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ (highly recommend the audiobook)

Everyone is ready to die for each other and if that’s not a good crew, I don’t know what is.

mercoledì / didn't mean to love you by christina c. jones
I really enjoyed this book, Vivienne and Carter, and just everything about their growth as people and as lovers. The cameos from previous and future books (I read all the others before this one) were amazing, especially Eddie (I love him down, even though Nixon is my favorite from this series). Find you a couple that heals together.

p.s. Well, you see, the thing is, I kind of read from the fifty percent mark until the eighty-five percent mark and was hooked (heart palpitations and chest pain). . . So now, do I start over?
p.s.s. I did.

mercoledì / the pregame ritual by alexandra warren
I really loved them together, they were very cute and wholesome. Also, both childish in their own ways, which is normal because both of them are still young. But everything about them, from flirting to chilling, was exactly that: chill and easygoing. They gravitated towards each other fairly quickly and developed a relationship even quicker.

The Month of Love: Short Romance Reads
Instead of reading a bunch of romance novels this month, I read a whole bunch of romance novellas as well as some science fiction (and yes, I know it's not technically romance, but I nonetheless enjoyed them).

sabato / love, theoretically by ali hazelwood
Now, I would’ve loved this even more if it had just a bit more of an emotional factor. As much as I loved Elsie and Jack both individually and together, I didn’t feel anything more than that "like.” Regardless of that, I had a fun time. This book is entertaining, heartfelt, and charming (in the best way, which was all the way). Simply put, a wholesome feel-good.

Messiness and Buried Feelings: A Long Time Coming by Meghan Quinn

martedì / a long time coming by meghan quinn
I smiled the whole way through, laughed, and downright enjoyed myself. They’re both oblivious and delusional in a way that’s so entertaining. The only other thing that’s stopped this from being five stars is the actual lack of angst. Like angst? They don’t know her. I could’ve done with some razzle dazzle (again, I know people don’t like that trope, but I would’ve ate that up). Other than that, it was amazing, hilarious, and show-stopping. All I can say is that I’m happy for the Scrabble lovers.

domenica / masters of death by olivie blake
The thing about this book is that it was so different from anything I’ve ever read (actually very pretentious) that I’m scared to read any of Olivie Blake’s other books in fear of them not measuring up. So, good luck to me.

overall, this was both parts cute and full of tension. Hayes and Hattie knew they were done for from like the second she cried over pickles, and he bought them for her. so, happy for them.

As the daughter of a rancher in 1840s Mexico, Nena knows a thing or two about monstersβ€”her home has long been threatened by tensions with Anglo settlers from the north. But something more sinister lurks near the ranch at night, something that drains men of their blood and leaves them for dead. Something that once attacked Nena nine years ago. This book was adorable.Β I think they’re perfect for each other; they complement each other very well, and it was, well, cute. Sometimes, what you need is just a calm, slow-growing, lust-filled relationship.
β€œI find it hard to believe, that you, Sebastian Gauthier, don’t recognize a kiss when it’s about to happen.”
