Muslim teen Amaiya Zafar can now compete in USA Boxing matches while wearing her hijab

Amaiya Zafar has already won her biggest fight and she hasn’t even stepped in the ring yet.

Zafar — a 16-year-old Minnesota Muslim teen — was barred from competing in boxing matches and tournaments since she wore a hijab, due to USA Boxing’s religious head covering rule. 

But on Thursday, the Council of American Islamic Relations announced it has been informed that USA Boxing has provided an exemption for Zafar.

This means that Zafar can box in matches and tournaments while wearing her headscarf, leggings and long sleeves to comply with her religious beliefs. Read more (4/21/17)

I don’t know why people always blame all the muslims for crime. How can u believe that person is 100% muslim? Islam never teaches to kill innocent people. If  a muslim kills innocent people, then he is not a muslim. ONE DIRTY FISH CAN MAKE WHOLE RIVER DIRTY! I wish all the problems of the world were solved this way, respecting other ways of living and trusting each other. My congratulations to that brave man.
