We totally should've let the Echo of navigation live. It legit had no intentions of harm and hot take... Ah… let me read the Guardian’s reports…

First thing, I have the feeling that the Hive’s gods would be particularly resistant to… therapy. The Witch Queen’s behavior when she was in Vanguard custody only attests to that. It is difficult to change your ways after having followed one path for lifetimes—I know that better than anyone.

As for the Echo, I believe I am unqualified to speak on its—his?—behalf. From my limited understanding of this particular situation, the Echo of Navigation did not entirely believe itself to be the Taken King? The Hive’s faith speaks against resurrecting the dead. It was never truly Oryx, nor did he want to return, in light of that. In the eyes of their doctrine, he was defeated, and his power should pass on. That should be the end of it.

I cannot give much more input than that, I’m afraid. My apologies.

I have not had much opportunity to study the Taken personally, so far. That being said, I took it upon myself to borrow research notes from Ikora and Eris Morn in an attempt to answer to your question. In short: I cannot recommend it. There is too little data on the effects of Taken forces on a Lightbearer's body, in which the Lightbearer survives. May I suggest speaking to Lieutenant Sloane about your idea? Her unique condition may grant her insight that I am unable to grasp. @shatterdive-vertigo
