Needless to say she was a bit surprised that a stranger would request the comfort of an embrace from, well, HER, but it warmed her heart to know she seemed comforting.

She thought so anyway.

Do you ever think about Newcomen? I know it wasn't exactly a fun vacation, but when you had to return to London, did you visit anyone after everything was finished?

“Newcomen..? Hm.. Yeah I still think about him sometimes.”

“I did try to visit a few people, but it’s like almost everyone dispersed after the incident. So I have to rely mostly on letters to keep in touch.”

Kate smiled sadly, seeming to be reminiscing on her past.

“Father Michael was a great man, one of great wisdom. We met when I was at the orphanage and he took me under his wing in a way. He taught me most things I know. I remember the first day we met, I felt so bad for breaking one of his glasses, but he was so forgiving...”

She sighed and shook her head

“I miss him, thank you for the ask, Anon.”

“If I’m being honest I’m not sure. Maybe it will be a journey of self discovery..”
