Hey Jack, what would you say is your favorite thing you’ve gotten for Christmas?

Ah, well, it was a long time ago... we didn't have a lot of money when I was growing up...

There was an annual Metropolis charity drive for needy families when I was pretty young. LexCorp hosts it, they still host it, mmm, I think. Right before Christmas, they give little payouts to families below the ‘poverty line’, though it's kind of a lottery if you win, like a scholarship or something.

One year we won. I've never seen my dad like that before.

He took me to the park. We went sledding. We had steak for Christmas dinner. I hated it, 'cos kids are like that, but they didn't even make me finish it. They'd never let me get away with not eating something before.

My mother bought me new clothes, and I'd only ever had hand-me-downs before. She even let me pick them out, with her approval.

All the money was gone by New Year's, but there was a whole week where my mom and dad were happy.

Have you made lasting friendships with Gotham’s Rogue’s Gallery? Are you still talking to any of em now that you’re back in the land of Superman?

Well, most of them are super old and it's pretty hard to relate to them, but there's a couple young guys in there that I think I could be good friends with.

The Riddler's nice, and he makes toys just like me, but he's got an element of, uhhh... mmm, what's the word, what's the word... Maybe, skeeze, yeah, skeeze, and it's kind of icky. It feels like he knows something you don't and he's laughing about it behind your back.

Scarecrow's kind of a toughie. You know that big, calm dog that's fenced in your neighbor's yard? You're too scared to pet him or even go up to him, but he seems all sleepy and harmless, so he's probably OK, but then one day when you're coming home from school you see a cat walk into the garden and then BAM, before you can even tell what happened, the dog's all alone and he's licking his big ol' jowls clean of blood? Creepy.

Man-Bat's a dork (and not even a real bat anymore)... I got the Freeze guy's email but he blocked me. No word on if the Rag-Doll is really a person yet, but I think I'm close to a breakthrough. Music Meister's nice, and I'd like to meet up with him in person someday just to see his powers in action. Uhh, I wish I could've met Joker before he kicked it... There's a lot more supervillains I've met, too, but I think I blew being friends by stealing their stuff when I first showed up.

Anyway, there's one guy in particular I'm really trying to get to know, and I think I've got a good shot.

He's, like, my age, so it all evens out.
