If you've been wondering why I've been gone for a while, this is why!! I've been working on something big for the ending of Chapter 1. Thanks for your patience!! I'll have the full animatic done hopefully this week or next week if all goes according to plan.

I scrapped the original version of the animatic for @ask-void-life cause I hated it and I burnt myself out. So here's the boards for the new version!! I like it a lot better and there's a lot less work I have to do for this version :]

Seriously though, every single design I see out there for Gordon, even if its still quite similar to his in-game model, is all so unique in their own little way and I love y’all for that!! maybe you should ask G-man if anyone else is trapped as well? why would you and him be so important as to be the only two prisoners....? also, did his employers bother to put a bathroom in the void?? anyways, i’m rooting for you! good luck!!

G-Man thinks to himself for a moment then turns to face Gordon. “I should... not be saying this. But you are not the only one here, Dr... Freeman. There are many beings that my Employers are... interested in,” he shares.

“As for my... situation. I cannot give you many details, but there is... someone I care deeply for that is being... held. By my Employers. I work to... keep them safe,” he explains, a sad tone can be heard in his voice.

G-Man lets out a pained groan and brings his hand up to his face to soothe the pain. “I’m afraid I cannot share... anymore. About this subject. I am forbidden to discuss such... personal. Topics.”

Gordon processes this new information and signs a reply. [I can help you. You can help me. We can help get others out too. We just have to work together.]

G-Man is caught off guard by Gordon’s offer. “No. I cannot allow that, Dr. Freeman. The Employers are all powerful beings, the two of us alone cannot... compare to them. We are. Nothing.”

Gordon doesn’t know how to respond as G-Man walks away and opens a door portal.

The “business man” looks back at Gordon.

“I appreciate the... offer. Dr. Freeman. But you have no idea what the Employers are... capable of. They are what always lurks in the... shadows. They are... chaos. They will kill you, Gordon. And my daughter too.”

The door closes.

Question, sometimes we can see Gordon shouting, does that means he can talk and uses sign language to talk to others? Or was that just an error?

ooc: That was intentional!! My Gordon is selectively mute. Selective mutism is an anxiety disorder which means that he can still talk to other people, but it takes a lot of energy to do so, as well as having moments where he just cannot force himself to speak, therefore using sign language instead. Sometimes he also just feels more comfortable signing than talking because he has a stutter (unrelated to his selective mutism). I hope that clears things up!! Let me know if you have anymore questions and I'd be more than happy to answer :]

I won't have an update this week because I'm moving in less than 5 days and I won't have much time between packing and my last days of work to work on the next post.

Though I wasn't very successful and just ended up running myself mad. So I need a new plan.

G-Man said he was a prisoner of these "Employers" too... so why would he do this to someone else?? Did he... did he used to be a normal human?? How long has he been here?? I think if I ask him more things next time he comes, I may get a better idea of what's REALLY going on here. Maybe you guys can give me some ideas on what to ask him so I don't miss any crucial points.

As he stands alone in the darkness once more, Gordon cries. He cries and cries, just wishing he could wake up from this sick nightmare. He just wants to see his friends, no, his family again. He hopes so much that they’re better off than he is.

Gordon hears footsteps coming from behind him and quickly turns around to see who or what is approaching.

In a fit of rage, Gordon rushes forward and grabs the lapels of G-Man’s suit jacket.

Gordon lets go of G-Man and backs up a bit, confused.

Why do you want to invent a teleportation device?

Many reasons actually!! It would reduce the amount of time it takes to get to places along with helping people deliver things faster and whatnot. There's so many things teleportation would be able to help with!! People could get to emergency rooms faster, car accidents would be reduced, you wouldn't have to spend hours on a plane to see another part of the world.. I... I just want to help people in any way that I can. I thought creating a device that we could only DREAM about would be really cool.

Though I suppose I never knew what we were really doing.

I didn't realize we would open our world up to other worlds.

Gordon looks at his hands. He doesn't say a word. He still feels all the blood on them.
