I'm being kicked out

I'm being kicked out by my housemate Mark. His reasoning is to move his daughter (my ex-housemate I literally ran away from), her partner and her kid into the room I'm living in right now as she fucked things up again with her mom. He also cited what boils down to communication issues (on his end) and not cleaning up his mess (I did when i first moved in, he messed it up again). I was hoping to not have to move until as late as possible tbh - I've wanted out of here for a while but I wanted to save up the money myself over time. Now I have to be out in a month.

Thankfully, several very kind people have already raised a lot of money to help get me out and some others are planning to road-trip to physically get me. I also have a place to go, just south of Chicago, with friends. I won't say no to more funds but commissions will be very hard to take due to my mental state and moving. As such, comms might close during this process. Leftover funds will pay for furniture that I must replace (as what I have isn't mine).

I will be putting as little of my current funds into my current living situation as possible, with the exception of buying a bag of cat food (cause he doesn't take care of his cats) [8:41 AM] Thank you guys for all your support and I'm sorry this came up so suddenly, especially after my chibi model debut. You know, an interesting tumblr transformation that's happened gradually, and which I've seen no one talk about: ask-culture has essentially dropped off to nothing.

By which I mean, asks used to be WAY more of the tumblr economy. They used to be more common to send, and receive, and see. They were integral to the collaborative, forum-like behavior of old tumblr communities, not even to speak on the HUGE number of ask-blogs that used to exist to only be interacted with in ask-form.

I'm not saying this in a vying-for-attention way but instead in an observational way: I used to get way way more asks in like 2015, even with a fraction of my follower count. I wonder if it's due to the homogenization of social media sites? There's a lot more of this divide between "content creator" and "consumer" instead of just a bunch of peer blogs who would talk to each other. "Asks" aren't really a thing on twitter, are they? And as I understand it, the closest thing to an "ask" on instagram or tiktok would be a creator screenshotting some comment and responding to it in a new reel or video or whatever those content mediums are. Are asks just too tumblr-specific? Is that aspect of the site culture dying out as more and more people converge to using all their social media sites in the same way?

they're burnt-out, disillusioned with the world, unable to keep steady 'regular' employment, & distanced from biofamily. as a kid, they dreamed of space and studying the stars and planets. however, barely passing a mix of public and private education and having to drop out of college left them in a poor mental state and without any support system. after a recent job loss, they were so close to giving up - when a very broken robot cat fell from the sky. it seemed like a wonderful distraction from impending depression, but upon plugging the robot into a computer at home, they are suddenly able to broadcast a stream to the entire galaxy. It's not like any other place nearby is hiring, might as well try this, right?

PSA Regarding Hateful Anons

Tumblr recently made it a requirement for you to be logged in to send asks anonymously. If you receive a hateful ask, don’t publish it - report it to Tumblr. It can be traced back to the user that sent it and with enough reports that person’s account will be suspended.

Share to raise awareness but also to make the clowns who think this behaviour is acceptable think twice before acting brave behind the guise of invisibility.

Redesigning a butt ton of old OCs from when i played neopets, trying to make them more of their own thing been holding onto these since 3rd grade at the earliest, 12th at the latest (with some much newer ones that dont really have places yet) and the very last one is Chicoriezu, my dearest blue bab who is kinda the main star of the whole thing ill write more about them another time, im just trying to update their designs rn, give them proper justice. some of them have changed A LOT (lesmaine, soarinx, reiki, jetkoki) but some havent changed hardly at all (Aujourdi, Ryry, Zeneviva, exliser)

on stream you said u had like 30+ ocs. could u make masterpost of every one of them (or at least as many as u feel showing) with whatever art you have lying around. i know this is a big ask so downscale it as much as it takes to make doable, im just curious to see them.
