Mary’s reaction was a tad late due to his sudden move and that he actually said he loved her. Before she knew it, he was gone.”No!!” She yelled, dashing towards the edge and looking over, immediately regretting. She was at a total loss and just sat down, with her hands in front of her face and cried. This couldn’t be real. It just couldn’t.

Gabe pouted at her, his mood back as it should be, and his lip quivering with false disappointment. "It was only a little poking fun! Promise." The archangel leaned in closer, touching the tip of his nose to hers. "Y'know, except about the loving you thing..."

There was a very, very long moment, in which Mary could do nothing but sob. Nothing else happened, the screams below were drained out. After what seemed to be about 15 minutes of just waiting, a single snap came from behind, and the screaming stopped, suddenly. Gabe had his arms wrapped around Mary straight away, a smug smirk curling his lips. He breathed a gentle laugh of victory. "I know where you're weak, angel. Never trick the Trickster."

Gabriel toyed with the red lollypop in his mouth with his tongue, legs dangling from the roof of Stark Tower. He had just sent a text for Mary to meet him there as soon as she could, and he worked to cover tears that pushed his eyes, trying to hold them behind a broken expression, at least until the half-angel appeared.
