Day 5 creating clothes for Steven Universe AU.

• This AU was fun to do, Nora for being the only girl on my list was one of the ones I was most excited about, so I put her further ahead when I went to update my list. She's cute, and has a pretty face to look at.

By the way...this of creating clothes for AUs from Steven universe is a challenge that i created for myself.

Her purpose, to soothe her Diamond. Created only to sing somber lullabies and lull her Clarity to sleep in her grief.

A lapis, as a mere accessory like a pearl.

It makes more sense if you follow the idea that the diamonds have to have a power themselves in order for a member of their court to have it. This is implied by peridot, aquamarine, and lapis but is never directly stated or shown.

Ah. Sorry I didn’t see this sooner back when discussing gem powers and abilities! I think this is a great thought leading out from the Diamonds, however I wish the canon show went out on this a little more. But I think it’s a great basis for the AU concerning powers!

So I was bumbling around Discord and noticed an ask box request for Twiniverse’s Nora in a swimsuit. Two days of procrastination later, and here we are.

From left to right;

You know if you think about it water control is a very strong and gruesome way to attack

There’s been so many uses of water control in animated media, and I totally agree! What really comes to mind with me is blood bending from Avatar the Last Airbender, along with the fact that water can be just as scary as fire, or electricity. I think we associate water with calm and semi positive emotions, but even the deepest parts of the sea are still unknown to us.

So concerning this! It’s interesting to say, but yes I think Nora does have some form of water manipulation, but not quite in the way you would think; like Lapis. After doing some research on Blue Diamond and her abilities I’ve come to a couple of conclusions.

Taken from the Steven Universe Wiki, it has been determined that Blue Diamond creates her clouds from her own tears, evaporated. We know that she has Psychokenisis in a blue like aura as well. I propose that if Blue was able to turn her liquid tears into clouds, in turn, Nora would be able to use her own tears as a sort of water control. Kinda messed up if you think about the concept for her future version. That’s not just water she’s holding, that’s her tears.
