Wow! How the time flies! So anyways I’m alive and kicking, finished up getting my degree and living life. I know I have a few asks in the ol inbox, might answer them but who knows.

So yeah still kicking and for anyone asking “What ever happened to ya!?” I’ve been busy wrapping up school. Fingers crossed that it’s my last semester and I’ve set up a Art account for my non Dy stuff.

Just got my first comics in! And very much on time before I have to show them off for my photo final.

What's Bumalin's duties?

She works in the Kasanaan section of hell which over sees souls that come from the South East Asia portion of Earth. Hover because she’s a demon that over sees sickness, pestilence, and stuff that relates to the human body she has a tendency to bounce around every corner of hell. She’s also the reason and first victim of diabetes.

Man so the only thing I know about the G5 Ponies is that Ken Jeong is voicing one of them.  I know expect the community to make comics of his character quoting Senor Chang or Leslie Chow.

So not Dy content and just a heads up this is gonna be a small life rant, so pay it no mind if ya don’t want to get sucked into life drama. And with that let’s jump in.

So to start things off I’d say I’m doing pretty ok. Physically I’ve been trying to get back into shape and even more recently I’ve been hired on for part time at a mom n pop comic book store as their manga guy. How ever dealing with my dad when I’m at home has been mentally and emotionally taxing. Honestly it feels like I’m dealing with a younger sibling rather than some one who raised me. And when ever I try to bring up my concerns with him he gets really defensive and tries to point the finger at me, so at this point I’ve stopped trying to communicate with him.

Now most of the mental frustration comes from my dad touching and interacting with stuff or activities that don’t belong to him. My dad is the type of person who has that mind set of “If it’s not mine, no biggy if something happens to it. And it’s not my problem if it effects some one.” During the start of quarantine I began to plan stuff out to keep my sanity up, but my dad muscled his way into said activities. As of date he’s killed 2 vegetable gardens, nearly drowned a rose bush, nearly broke a bunch of art supplies I needed for classes, nearly broke my old Wacom bamboo, potentially damaged a few comic books that could be worth money in the future, moved around important documents and checks that tie into me getting a BA, potentially has drowned a Filipino citrus bush, almost destroyed a whisk that is one of the few remaining things that my grandmother left to my mom before she passed away before me and my sib was born, killed a bonsai tree that I kept alive for 2 years because he wanted to ferment stuff next to it, and a few other things and each time I’ve told him not to do that again. A lot of these incidents happened before I got my job, so I’d be digging into what little I had saved up at the time in order to replace things.

Now fast forwarding to now and the reason why I’m posting this. About 2 to 3 weeks ago I was out drinking with some friends, ended up coming home late and noticed a package came in for my mom and dad, so I brought it in so it wouldn’t get stolen. I woke up pretty hung over so I decided to have a lie down on the couch. My dad comes in the the package that I brought in and he’s going on and on about how him and my mom saw this basket and just had to buy it. He then went into a few other things before asking how my night was. The conversation went something like this “So who did you hang out with? What were you drinking? Oh mead that’s some fancy strong stuff? BTW I broke you favorite coffee mug you know the one your friend made you. I’ll buy you a new one. Anyways look at this basket.” At this point I was too hung over to care so I told him not to touch any of my stuff. Later I asked my mom how it happened and she told me it was because he was making beet salad. When the mug broke he tried to chuck it but my mom and sister stopped him had to explain he needed to tell me cause the mug was irreplaceable and was designed by some one who was an avid coffee drinker. My dad responded with “well I didn’t know that” to which my mom and sis responded with “He’s mentioned it a couple times and it’s something that brings him a lot of joy.”

Jump to today and after telling my dad not to touch anything and I found that he’s been messing with my photo equipment. Literally $700+ worth of camera equipment acquired over 4 years left in an area where my dogs love to get their zoomies out. And original it was all placed in an area where they would be safe. So yeah, my equipment for potentially my livelihood was handled by some one who absolutely doesn’t care and at this point I’m emotionally exhausted. Hopefully things might get better, but who knows at this point and it might be after a bunch of stuff gets broken and my anxiety shoots through the roof.
