“Hey!” Her boots skid on carpet trying to catch up. Package wobbling in her gloved hands.

"Is she talking to us?" he mutters, his brows furrowing in confusion as the person skids to a stop in front of them.

"Hi, I don't believe we've met yet since we've only been here a month. But are you okay?" Cecelia says as the woman in front of them catches her breath, her gaiter moving with each exhale. She's equally as confused as her brother but curious. She's always happy to meet new people and make new friends. Chester stands half behind her, wary but relaxed. The two glance at eachother before looking back at the woman.

Cecilia gingerly knocks on the lieutenant's office before peeking her head in with a smile.

"Hey, sorry to interrupt but I'm headed to the mess hall to grab a coffee refill, do you want me to grab you a cup? I see you're about to do some work too. I just need a pick me up after being in the garage working all afternoon before I head to my office." She adjusts her backpack strap on her shoulder while she talks before lifting up her empty travel mug in the other hand to shake it and show that it's empty.

Holly cracks her knuckles, ready to pump out some debrief reports and mission satisfaction surveys on her laptop.

Cecilia stifles a giggle behind her hand at Vargen's confusion of what Sleeptoken and podcasts mean. "I'm sorry, really. I don't mean to laugh." She reaches to place her fingertips on Vargen's hand for a second.

"I'm not trying to be rude, I promise. I forget not everyone knows about certain things. Um, yeah. Sleeptoken is an alternative metal band I think you'd call it. Their music varies. They're one of our favorite bands though. I'll show you some of their music sometime, if you want. I have a spare phone somewhere I can put their music on it." She smiles at him for a second before looking down to grab a few gummy bears again to give her a distraction, a slight blush on her cheeks as she hopes he knows she's really not trying to be rude with the giggling.

Chester clears his throat, drawing Vargen's attention from his sister. "Podcasts are like radio episodes i guess? Like recordings of people talking about things or interviews. They can be just audios or videos. But uhh, Cece, what do you think about Jeanz' answer?"

"Hmm?" She looks up from where she was sorting the gummy bears by color in her lap, picking out the red ones. Those ones are gross. "Oh, yeah. Sorry i get distracted easy!" She laughs quietly at herself and thinks about it. "Hmm, the bar fight one? You have horses on your farm right? Maybe you took one from someone who was mistreating them? I dunno. As far as my next round... Uhm, I rebuilt the engine of a Range Rover before I was 17, I've never been to a nudist colony, my favorite color is green." She shrugs, wishing she could have came up with better answers.

Chester's eyebrows raise at her answers, and he's glad he wasn't eating one of his sour gummies right then or he would've choked on it. "Well I watched you rebuild that car, so I know that's not it. And you always wear green. When did you go to a nudist colony and not tell me? You tell me everything!" She chuckles at that, and hears the other two snicker at his incredulous tone.

"I don't tell you everything, brother. Some things I do keep to myself." She narrows her eyes at him and takes one of his watermelon gummies from his hand where it was raising to eat some more. "Hey, eat your own damn snack!" She sticks her tongue out at him before eating the stolen gummy. "You just do your round, punk," she mutters, taking a drink from the cup since he guessed right.

"Okay, okay, you little shit. I'm thinking." He huffs, hiding the snack bag between him and the chair so she doesn't steal any more. "I'm right-handed like our Dad, I once cut off Cece's ponytail when we were kids, and I'm allergic to seafood." He looks to Vargen, waiting as the man thinks over his reply.

"What about two truths and a lie? I'll go first I guess." Cecilia pipes up, popping a blue gummy bear in her mouth and looking between everyone to see if they're okay with that game.

"Yeah, sounds alright." Chester replies and watches as his sister takes another small sip. He can practically see the gears turning in her head as she thinks of her truths. She tugs at a loose string on the side of her boot as she thinks.

"Okay. I had a belly button piercing as a teen. I've had asparagus before and liked it. And uhh- what about the last one? Oh I know, my first girlfriend cheated on me with my best guy friend that I had a crush on." She shifts on the floor, adjusting her legs to get more comfortable before she looks up at Chester next to her, knowing that he'll easily guess the right answer.

He's already smirking as he eyes her and the cup.

"You know I still wish you'd let me pay those two a visit to tell them off. I hear they had their second kid recently. And you've never liked asparagus. You said it tastes like old shoes. Drink up, sis." She takes the drink and smiles over the rim at him.

"You know I had to give you an easy one to start with. Your turn now, Chessie, then Vargen since he's next to you and Jeanz." Chester taps his fingers on the chair as he thinks, his eyes unfocusing as he zones out.

"Here goes," he murmurs after a moment, clearing his throat before speaking up and tapping the chair rapidly in a little drumroll. "I've been to a Sleeptoken concert before, uh- I can't whittle ducks, and I've never listened to a podcast before." He looks to Vargen for him to guess which is the lie, his lips tightening into a line in anticipation.

“Vargen, I ‘ave an offer for ye. Since ye’ve helped me so much, and’ Soli. How about I give ye some o’ this Irish whiskey? I gotta warn ye, it’s strong as shit. If not whiskey, I can take ye ta grab some food if ye’d like?”
