Coffeetale is an AU where all of the Monsters dress in various Academia aesthetics and represent a different kind of coffee. Their nicknames and specific academic wear are dependent on their personalities.

The plot of Coffeetale revolves around Monsters being service workers, while Humans live comfortably. What would be the main Boss Monsters in Undertale are teachers, professors, and caretakers. There is no killing in this AU, as the story follows a teen named Frisk, who sneaks into a college at the beginning of a new year in late summer. Their reasoning for sneaking in is to write an article on said college. Meaning that the Neutral, Genocide and Pacifist endings of Coffeetale revolve around how Frisk perceives the college; writing and publishing their experiences accordingly.
