Give him some spicy food and he'll be friendly towards the person/monster who gave him the food

Narkku gives Dread the spiciest thing in the world all sauced onto a well done steak. "Spicy meat. careful its super spicy not even the toughest hunter could eat this. Can you withstand this?" In all honesty it was a rider's creation that Narkku had no idea who made it.

Dread sniffs the meat and gulps it down with enthusiasm. No effect. "Thanks for the snack young one" he hands a small rock to narkku. "Take this to remember me by"

An eye pops open. "BEGONE LESSER BEING, OR I'LL BE FORCED TO BURN YOU ALIVE!!!"

Dread looks at striker in confusion. He drops striker, trying to figure out what striker said was supposed to mean.
