Psalm 119:103

While reading through Psalms, what especially struck me was how David seemed to absolutely love God’s Word.

I want to love God’s Word. I want to look forward to reading it every day. I want it to fill my heart with the same joy King David had.

Pray: Lord, thank You for the beauty of Your Word. Help me to love your word and delight in it. In Jesus Name. Amen.

God is love. 1 John 4:8

Everything God does is loving, just as everything He does is just and right. His love is perfect because the Bible says that God is love.

The greatest expression of God's love is communicated to us in John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” 

Romans 5:8 says: “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Jesus Christ died for us.” We can see from these verses that it is God's greatest desire that, we, His children dwell with Him in His eternal home, heaven. He doesn't want anyone to perish. That's why Jesus died, so that our sins could be forgiven. 

1 John 3:1, “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!” He wants all people everywhere to be His beloved children, the object of His great love.

God, I am so grateful that You never give up on me. Even when I don’t feel near You, you are never far from me. You actively pursuing me and You never fail. thank you, Lord God. It is in Your presence that I find joy. And so today, I choose to draw closer to You. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN! 🙏🏻

He satisfies us completely and forever with words - His words.”

Jesus said, “You are the salt of the earth. You are the light of the world. Matthew 5: 13, 14

What are we all striving to become? Take a look at what Jesus wants us to be. Jesus said, you are the salt of the earth. Salt softens, preserves, adds flavour and cures. Like salt we can penetrate into the sin ridden world and be a source of healing and comfort and make a difference. 

Jesus also tells us that we are the light of the world. We are to shine like stars in the universe. Our world is often dark and we are called to brighten up our spot with the light of God's truth. Live a life according to God's word, without compromising, you will be the salt and light of this dark world.
