DELTAWRONG (Chapter 1: DELTAROUXLS) part TWO!!!!!! HOORAY!!! i made it!!! i've got a lot of actual Art to make for the next one.....scary, i have never done pixel art properly before. well. i'll figure it out.

Part 1 (& Basic Explanation)

Cutscene for the little swap AU my last post was about! It's called DELTAWRONG. I also like to call Chapter 1, specifically, DELTAROUXLS. Because Rouxls swaps with Lancer, so the entire thing is about him, basically.

The basic gist is that some Darkners swap, no Lightners swap, and the Prophecy remains the same. I might make a post in greater detail later, or (hopefully. I say it every time but hopefully) make more of these things...I have a LOT about it in my head!!!

addison tenna for my swap au deltawrong :) i will make something for spamton too. as soon as i figure out what to name him haha

going more in-depth about him here:

-personification of junk email in general !! just to differentiate him from spamton a little, since i felt they'd otherwise be too similar. junk email Does include spam email and i think some of that would be present within junkan but he's also a little more Legal about things as well. if you get me. makes him a Tiny bit more successful than spamton naturally (though really not by much; he's still doomed to be unwanted mail). he'll do anything to get any sort of attention, not caring if it's good or bad attention—he just wants his existence acknowledged. once that happens he won't let go! this stops him from becoming completely alone after the phone call, since he goes running straight back to the other addisons instead of isolating himself, and gets them to (reluctantly) help him maintain some relevance by advertising with hand puppets throughout the city. does it work? ...well, he keeps trying, either way.

-changing what kind of puppet he is was also to differentiate him! he's supposed to be like a hand-rod puppet (the rods being in his equivalent to the NEO fight to replace the strings), for a few reasons: it's silly, ties in nicely with the hand puppets already there, it's silly, something similar is in chapter 1 of the au and i think it would be cool, calls to mind the muppets which i think fits with his whole Deal, and it's silly. unfortunately for him, this means he has no teeth. he used to have teeth. i'm sure he misses them.

-the other swaps i have in mind for chapter 2 are king <--> queen, ramb <--> swatch and clover -> scc. which have an affect on his overall character & status. well maybe not clover so much. but the other two do (there may be other swaps for the chapter eventually but i am having trouble thinking of any.........). ramb in particular is responsible for a Few Things. maybe i will elaborate on this in the future

-he Does use phrases in brackets but they're much less frequent! they're pretty much just If Tenna would use fancy text, Junkan would have the words in brackets. because i like to think in canon spamton doing that is because he got the fancy text thing from tenna but overused it accepted so many advertisements in his speech and now no longer has access to the graphics and can't turn it off. it's basically the same here except who has fancy text swaps. if that makes sense

-i know...the addisons use the mspaint color palette. he's just Different. okay real reason is i forgot i'm sorry but being Different is also an explanation look at his suit he loves being Different. but i also did a quick little thing of what his palette could be if i actually remembered this

literature festival had a talk about the world of moominvalley book with philip ardagh today!!! i went to it!! hereeeee is what the tent looked like hehe

it was great and So funny. i considered recording it or taking notes, but there wasn't much new information I could glean from it haha, mostly stuff you'd already know if you're heavily into moomin/tove's life, it was only an hour long so there wasn't much time to get into things. though he did give some insight into his own relationship with moomin, how he got to do things for the company, what he's contributed, etc. some of which i put under the cut! because it was really fascinating!! you could tell he's Definitely super dedicated to the series and the consistency he's such a big fan which makes me Incredibly excited to read this book

i was able to buy the book while there And there was a signing!!!!! he took a picture of me while signing mine cuz i was wearing my moomin jumper :)

-he gained the company's attention because whenever asked what his favorite childhood book was, he answers every time, "Comet In Moominland", despite some people asking him to change it up sometimes

-gets along great with sophia—he was offered the opportunity to visit the island from the summer book! as it turns out he was invited there because he was mistaken for another philip (i believe it might have been philip burke? that's what i recall it sounding like, but i might be remembering it wrong)

-he stole a hattifattener from them. you're not allowed to take the hattifatteners. and yes he was found out

-they sent him to train with santa claus (where he "beard bonded" with him)

-he really doesn't like the way that mv19 has the mouths on the sides of the heads (me too Brother)

-he is a believer that the hemulen headmistress and the hemulen aunt are the same character, because moominpappa thinks so and he trusts moominpappa's word (i must Disagree...i do Not trust moominpappa's word)

-does not like the comet in moominland revisions he's a silk monkey truther

-called publishers stupid for saying finn family moomintroll before comet in moominland is better and said that it makes no sense. Thank You, Ardagh. someone had to say it

-the moomins must always be white on merchandise—apparently this is because of him. he recounted that there were suggestions to have a moomin look creamy-yellow colored on some merch, and he went "hey wait, snorks and moomins already look so alike, and snorks are the ones that change color—you'll be making a snork, not a moomin" (paraphrased) which is cool, to have that acknowledged. But okay, when are we actually getting the changing colors on snorks, Moomin Characters. I'm Waiting.

-"One of the worst things about Moomin is that all of the characters are so incredibly obviously based on people Tove knew, but you aren't allowed to say that—because she didn't say it herself, 'Moominmamma is based on my own mother', she never directly said it—except for exactly one character" (heavily paraphrased) - talking about too-ticky

-he has a friend who made a real-life model of that one drawing of the ancestor tilting the picture frame that sits on the wall and god it was SO good i almost took a photo of it i wish i did. i would Love to have that

anddddd right now, that's all i remember, though i'm sure there was more. there was a short q&a at the end but i cannot recall any of it so if someone has a specific thing they'd like to know about this PLEASE ask me it might just jog my memory

i FINALLY. got to read the book of bill. i've been thinking about this au for so so so very long. i have many ideas for it. storylines. hopefully i will Eventually get to them. here is one of the thoughts that has been replaying in my mind
