To be honest, I think it stopped being funny because they started making their disabilities more apparent to the point where only little kids think it's funny.

Yeah, but if you see it from the formula’s point of view, it may have had a hidden love with Mr. Krabs- so, that love for the formula that Plankton has, might be a little on the unrequited side.

Spongebob was meant to be autistic, ADHD, and ODD. Patrick was slow and ADHD as well. Squidward had depression, anxiety, and anger management issues.

But it's funny. And really, it is a sad love story because Plankton loves the formula so much but their love is forbidden. 

Wouldn’t that be a little strange? I mean, it could be some really intense moment where Plankton is trying to steal the recipe, and you could think it’s some sort of sad love story.

I guess it could, but I don't really watch the new episodes. The old ones were more humorous and not completely stupid.

Was it really though? I heard watching two minutes of that dulls your brain, and my cousin only watches Spongebob.

It was originally meant to be a show for adults because it made fun of mental disabilities. But then the guy who owns MTV, Nickelodeon, and Cartoon Network was like, "This shit's stupid, let's make it for kids."

Oh man, that show is messed up in so many ways though.
