Never getting over the insane length and glory of Li Lun's mane of glory, but also the fact that both Yan An and Neo Hou spent hours before the shirtless scenes shoots buffing up, only for the censors ordering them to cover it all up in the post-production.

Making a blood oath and eternal promise upon an altar with their mixed blood on it HALF-NAKED, as if they've just got up from a bed or planned to return to it, sure carries all sorts of innuendos and insinuates a relationship of more than mere friendship that even those subpar censors couldn't miss. Plus, they are wearing what's basically couple outfits, with ZYZ wearing red and LL blue in it emphasizing the yin-yang getting together and merging.

A deleted part of the scene showing Li Lun slowly walking to the altar with a vulnerable and wide-eyed expression, slightly out of breath, and cutting the palm of his hand before putting it on the altar next to Zhao Yuanzhou's, their blood mixing and mating together.

The buffing-up was clearly a joint effort.

The progression of his character and how young he looked in the early episodes is truly impressive.

If you've watched any videos of Tian Jiarui out of character, that's not the same person. He's so different from his characters and it blows me away. I was completely mesmerized by the transition he made from young demon hunter in charge of a crumbling bureau to powerful demon and shelter to those he loved.

This is a top shelf performance and it deserves a place up on the mantel. I CANNOT wait to see what he does next.

You have to give it to Edward Guo for managing to sneak in the bits and pieces that the censors made him delete from the actual scenes due to the overly romantic undertones and suggested Zhao Yuanzhou and Li Lun's love story into the final montage by inserting them separately in between unrelated scenes. Like the time we get to see that ZYZ actually noticed LL's being uncomfortable and shyly peaking at him before he gave him the rattle. It was so soft and affectionate.

Or when their eyes met after Li Lun got him the umbrella. They had been going out on dates into the human world, often wearing couple outfits, and each of them bought the other a present, both of which they cherished deeply. (I still can't comprehend how the censors overlooked it.) In the end, both those tokens of love were destroyed and perished, just like them.

The look ZYZ gave Li Lun when they were dancing fighting/playing in the rain.

Or Li Lun bashfully peaking at ZYZ when he used his magic on the windmill and made ZYZ smile. The screencap shows that he actually looked at Li Lun as well, but we never get to see that.

The memories of Li Lun in the montage belong all to Zhao Yuanzhou, the way he saw him, always close to him, and almost all of them are POV shots, making them deeply intimate, hinting to the real nature of their relationship. The only exception being Ao Yin's death, probably the only other person Li Lun loved in his life.

I dig the way the show manages to seamlessly incorporate humour and fun into the serious and dark plot. I have to enjoy it until it lasts.
