Friday, July 26, 2013 @ 8:00pm PALMBOMEN (DJ Set) @ ASHMORE GALLERY ☮☮☮▼▼▼ PALMBOMEN ▼▼▼☮☮☮ Berlin-based Dutch disco producer Palmbomen has a profound palette for the peculiar. His original work, which has been released through NON Records and Kitsuné Maison, uses desolated studio equipment to produce haunting dance music. As a DJ, Palmbomen creates soundscapes that are as diverse as his influences. Original edits, unreleased material from the NON imprint, and everything form ‘60s Psychedelia to ‘80s Italo-Disco complete Palmbomen’s exploratory approach to the decks. Modular Records, Vice Magazine, and Red Bull Music Academy are just a few music entities to commission sets from Palmbomen.  Give it a LISTEN ---> http://nonrecords.net/artists/palmbomen/ https://soundcloud.com/palmbomen With local support by: PAINMEDZ - Adam Intrator of Savannah favorite TRIATHALON teams up with Gus Muller of RECONSS to create some soulful fog.  ALSO DJ SETS by CHRISTO and LEN BIAS and late night special live set with RECONSS

Burning Time
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In "Burning Time," artist Jagrut Raval explores the phenomenon of time and its effects on human psyche. Working with both photography and video, Raval records the burning of clocks, a physical manifestation/representation of the metaphysical entity ”time.” The clocks become memento mori monuments that sing celebratory hymns of their past existence. "Burning Time" is curated by Giordano Angeletti.
On view from April 3-9, 2013
Opening Reception: April  5th, 7-10pm
Ashmore Gallery, 412 MLK Boulevard
