Welcome to the Witness Protection Program

In the beginning, individuals and families under the Witness Protection Act would be relocated to different parts of the United States in hopes no one would recognize or find those individuals. However, too many of them were found and more of the tax payers money was used to relocate them again with a new identity; something that was not cheap. Finally, the idea of creating an island – a small town for those who need the protection of the government from those they fought against – came into Congress. On the island, the American citizens are able to keep their true identities and start a new life for themselves. Little locally owned shops line the town streets while recently built homes occupy the surrounding areas. Jobs, education and other opportunities are offered on the island which is located off the coast of Cannon Beach, Oregon.
