There was a moment of peace as Reina looked out into the horizon; few people came here being as this would be considered somewhere boring to the average human. Of course the loud sound of a crack in the distance forced her senses back into reality; she looked in the direction of the sound and she glared did this human think her stupid?
“It’s wasn’t.” She mumbled; honestly she didn’t care about the tree or the fact he broke it. Something that was already dead was pretty much useless anyways, and honestly it’d be better if it was gone. A dead tree could be replaced with a sapling and essentially be reborn.
“Why would you climb something that’s obviously falling apart? It’s as if you’re asking to break something.” Well whatever she was distracted now, and so she brought herself over to where he fell.
“It’s already dead, its not like you killed the thing.”
Ash shrank back. His little lies had been seen through and he didn’t really know how to respond. He was a bit sore from the fall, but it really could have been a lot worse. Mostly he was surprised by everything.
“Ah, yeah. Sorry. I was climbing the tree. I didn’t notice that it was dead and falling apart.” He looked back at the tree and saw at that point how brittle it was, and ready to break. “I’m kinda relieved I didn’t hurt it. Poor tree, though. I wonder how it died?”
He looked over at the other. “My name’s Ash. Are you in charge of the trees or something?”

The person looks busy with their camera, so Ash makes a point to keep to the side. He’s not that great at keeping to the side, though. He trips a bit and drops the papers he had been carrying. Hurrying after the paper, Ash ran in front of the person. He got the paper he was looking for, but when he bent over to collect what he had lost, more paper fell to the ground. To make matters worse, he also dropped his phone.
“Sorry! I’m so sorry! I keep dropping things,” Ash said. He was panicking and dropped his phone again. “I’m probably ruining things for you. I hope I didn’t ruin anything. If I did, I’m really sorry.”
And by that point, Ash was starting to cry. “And now I’m crying and this is making things worse. I’ll get out of your way as soon as I’m done.”

There’s a crashing sound and someone emits a yell. Further investigation would reveal a relatively old looking tree with a relatively young looking human sitting underneath. Ash had been climbing the tree, for the simple reason that he had been bored until he decided that up a tree was an ideal hangout spot. He’s sitting near a freshly broken branch and pushes it away.
“Uh... the tree was already broken.”
He appears slightly flush, embarrassed by what happened. The first thing he thinks of doing is to give an obvious lie. That seemed like the smartest thing to do.
“I wasn’t climbing or anything, so I definitely didn’t break that branch. Or damage that old tree.”

“That’s probably going to be an expensive replacement, but you’re young enough that they may just ask for volunteer work to replace it, if they don’t let it go all together. Just start sobbing like you were and the employees will scramble over themselves to let you off easy.”
“I can’t afford to replace anything. I guess crying could work. I didn’t realize that crying might actually be helpful. Thanks. I’ll head over to the rental place. And start crying.”
“Thank you!”

“What did you even lose, anyways? It has to have been something important to have you sobbing like that.”
“Unless you’re just always like that.”
“I dropped part of a rental. A paddle board. I lost the paddle. And I’m always kinda like this. My friends back home always called me a cry baby.”

─ ❅💙; “Of course. The Marketplace is a big place, it’s easy to get lost in there. Besides, I might need to some purchases, again.” Wouldn’t it be dangerous for a child like him to go alone, too? “Tell me, what’s your name?”
“I’m Ash. Ash Ketchum, from Pallet Town. I’ve been here for awhile, but I still tend to get lost in places. Where are you from? How long have you been here?”

“If not for me, you would still be sobbing on the street.”
“Outspoken cannot be that bad, then.”
“Yeah, but being outspoken can kind of sound rude. But I guess you did help me to stop crying. I guess I kinda owe you for that.”

─ ❅; “It’s not a problem, when I went there a couple of days ago for food, and you’d be surprised by the amount of things you can find there!” Alongside from the various miscellanous oddities that Spirale brought from its surroundings, too.
“They definitely seem to have something from everywhere. Did you want to come with me to the market? It might be easier if there’s two people looking for waterproof fabric than just one.”

─ ❅; “Underwater fabric? Oh no, it doesn’t ring a bell to me at all. I wonder if you can find it at the market place, though?”
“That’s a good idea! They seem to have everything at the market. I bet I could take a... scuba diving suit and add pieces to it. Thanks for the suggestion!”

“I didn’t even know who you are until two minutes ago. I still don’t know who you are. How can anyone think you’re the worst when you’re just another kid on the street?”
“There’s a difference between being the worst and just boring.” Okay, maybe that wasn’t the nicest thing to have said. Oops? Old habits died hard.
Ash had no idea how to respond to that. He was much more used to people being friendly and open.
“I’m boring?” He asked. “Uh... you remind me of one of my friends back home. Her name is Serena and she’s kinda... I guess... outspoken like you.”

Hyakunosuke’s eyes light up a little as he turns them up towards the stranger. There’s no hesitation:
“ …..yes. I want some. “
“What kind candy would you like? I really like -- well, I like all of the candies. Except for licorice.”

Ash lets out an awkward laugh. He doesn’t like this idea of being put on a pedistol. He’s not perfect, he knows he’s far from it. He has a lot that he’s worked for, and he’s proud of his accomplishments.
“I hate reading aloud and public speaking. I get so bad at it. When Professor Kukui had me do a report I got so bad I could hardly get through it. Im just not good at that formal stuff. And one time we had to talk about prehistoric Pokémon and I got so uncomfortable. I don’t like them. I’m also—it took me a long time to be comfortable to date. I didn’t want to be like my dad.” Ash confesses the last bit with a bit of a sigh.
He listens to the others Gary and nods.”Gary was nice to me, then mean, then nice and now we’re dating. He and I had a bit of a history heh.”
Pikachu takes the plush he’s cuddled and holds it tight. Grinning happily he hugs it. Ash looks over and smiles. “Pikachu adopted that toy. He thinks it’s his baby,” Ash chuckles.
“Heh. I think my Pikachu would shred any toys apart.”
Ash watches as the other Pikachu gets close to a plush. Definitely much different. He could only imagine his own pikachu completely destroying anything and everything. Maybe he was a little envious about a Pikachu who didn’t go around blasting things with electricity.
“I don’t think I could ever date someone, especially not Gary. And I guess I don’t really want to be too much like my dad, either. But I don’t really know too much about him.”
Ash barely remembered his dad, though. Maybe a few memories and such, but otherwise there wasn’t too much to remember.
“I still wish I was more similar to you. I’m usually too afraid of talking to people or they might say something and I know I’ll start crying.”
