‼️‼️Please Don't Skip Me‼️‼️
Dear humanity,
I'm Amal, a mother of three children, living under the weight of the genocide taking place in Gaza. 🍉
The Israeli occupation forces launched drone strikes on my husband, Fayez, and my son, Mohammad.
Although my husband's condition has stabilized, my son is still suffering immensely and urgently needs medical treatment outside Gaza.
I lost most of my family. I'm afraid to lose my son too 🥺 .
I need your help please donate and share, evry contribution, no matter how small, brings us hope in these dark times.
Mohammed deserves to live a happy and healthy life, just like every other child on this earth.
So I humbly ask you to donate even a little or at least reblog this appeal.

I'm having to wait on something important, and I am struggling a lot to make it financially until I get to that day. Been waiting a while, and I'll wait a while more, but like the rarely-blooming flowers in the background here, I persevere...! And doodle aimlessly over my lunch break while I do, apparently.
Medium: fineline felt tip markers

I got new toys (watercolor pencils) and wanted to noodle around (with not terribly watercolory results, but I still enjoyed playing!)

Hanging in the Balance Olden Stars - Casius 👀
So I conceived of this along with @tieflng as a sort of faux-academic look at the fairy tales of the Olden Stars... ve took it a lot farther than I ever did but I did write about half of this little fairytale:
HOW THE SEVENTH JESTER LIFTED THE CURSE OF THE WHISTLING PRINCE
Once upon a time, in the days before the stars were old and Aqueth Song-Fisher began the aging of the world, there lived the First Empress Geminian and her two beautiful children, Sagithol and Chirani. Now the Empress had already lost her wings, but she ruled fairly and well with the aid and help of the Mantle and Sceptre, raiments granted her from the stars’ birth.
Chirani had been born with wings dark as night and red as hearts’ blood, the eldest by a few minutes. She was to be the heir to the Empire and had a merry, cheerful disposition that hid her great pride. Her brother Sagithol, however, had been born wingless and male, shocking the court. The Empress had merely sighed when asked her wishes for her son, and said, “All good things come with price.” Thus, Sagithol had grown up knowing he was the price of the Empire’s prosperity. He was a solemn child, although fair and bright of face and mind.
Chirani spent much of her time following in her illustrious mother’s warlike footsteps, ever training in the ways of battle and statecraft, while Sagithol sought the company of books and the wisdom gained from the study of alchemy and magic. As she learned the ways of the spear and the talon, he learned to wield ink and reagent. Yet both grew in mastery of their craft, and they were fond of each other, despite their great differences.
Now the court had many musicians, acrobats, and tellers of tales, but the undisputed reign over these entertainers was held by Casius, the Seventh Jester. Eirs was the lineage of Fools, stretching back seven generations, and ey, so they say, was the crowning glory of eir line. Eir command of wit, eir mastery of the art of comedy, eir great wisdom at dismantling the courtly squabbles with an impeccably timed joke, was well-known to the court and to the Empress, and she looked upon em with great favor. And yet Casius eirself was often frustrated, as ey felt ey were not taken with the respect ey felt ey deserved. But Sagithol, who took everything and everyone seriously, found a friend in Casius. Thus the princess, the prince, and the jester grew in cunning, knowledge, and wit, an inseparable trio until they neared the age of adulthood.
When Time’s Singer, the great Titan known as Harn, attacked, days after the heir and her twin reached the age of majority, Chirani made so bold as to tell the Empress that it was she who would take command of the troops and ride to war. Although both Sagithol and Casius begged her to rethink, to stay out of danger, her great pride and dreams of glory would let her do nothing but take the field. Geminian herself was swayed, saying that an Empress of Sahr must be ready to ride to war and to make peace, both in their time. She too, however, decided to go to the front lines, both to guide Chirani and serve, as she always had, as both warmaker and mediator, weaving the warp and woof of the Empire as she had the Mantle. She took that holy raiment with her, for what guidance and wisdom it could provide, and left Sagithol with two things: the regency of the Empire and a great puzzle, one which had stymied many fine minds.
The Holy Scepter of Sahr, the sign and sigil of royalty, had long been a conundrum. The Empress wielded its boundless magic in service of Sahr, but from whence it had come, or how it had been wrought, none could say. She had emerged from her great choice with the shining Scepter in her flightless grasp and wielded the magics it bestowed upon her with the wisdom she gained from the Mantle. Thus, Geminian had created the Empire, and long may her legacy guard us all. The shining stone that formed the crown of the Scepter granted magic beyond comparison or knowing, and Geminian asked Sagithol to bend his intellect toward discovering the mysteries it contained. He accepted with seriousness, as he did all things, and went straight to work.

Love For a Face
Happiest of birthdays, dearest @laughingpinecone, and I wish you the most lovely day!
AO3 Profile Fandom: Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective/Disco Elysium Words: 5191
Against all his own better judgment, Jowd must escape the special detention center with the help of his new friend, Sissel....and the multitude of voices from his skills, memories, and clothes.
A Jowd-perspective retelling of Chapter 9 from Ghost Trick in Disco Elysium style.
--
"Real darkness has love for a face. The first death is in the heart." --Dolores Dei
Yet, first, second, or even third deaths mean little when you have ghost tricks... REAL DARKNESS – “AT LAST WE FIND EACH OTHER, MY OLD FRIEND. YOU’VE BEEN HUNTING ME IN PAINTED DABS AND BLOTS, IN THE VOID OF UNREFLECTED LIGHT BEHIND FRAMED PHOTOS, IN THE BONES OF CHICKEN GONE COLD, AND NOW, FINALLY, I’VE COME TO CLAIM YOU.”
THE RIGHT THING TO DO [Challenging: Failure] – You really don’t care. Being claimed by the darkness doesn’t mean much.
ELECTROCHEMISTRY [Medium: Success] – Not without that final flash of pure light and electricity burning through your vessels and synapses until *all* the words just… stop.
PAIN THRESHOLD [Easy: Failure] – Being detained is no replacement for being terminated.
- “Can we get on with it?”
- “Sorry for making you wait.”

Q Factor (Minovember)
AO3: AzureFishnets Fandom: Ghost Trick Summary: A kitten and a clock may have similar missions. Humans may not realize this but it's true. Word Count: 373
The kitten sat in front of the clock, eyes wide, tail twitching in time with the long pendulum in its glass case, a precise arc that curved through each second as it passed. He reached up and patted the glass case with a wondering paw, leaving a faint smudge, before Alma shooed him away.
He didn’t seem to be watching Alma as she kissed Jowd goodbye and gathered together things for a morning walk with her daughter, but for just an instant as she bundled Kamila into the stroller and all was the organized chaos of taking an infant on an outing, the second hand on Alma’s wristwatch waved in an idiosyncratic rhythm that had nothing to do with time passing and everything to do with a passenger Alma didn’t realize she had. The steady tick sped up to a thrumming purr; Sissel was on the job.
As they walked through the park and he listened to them chatter at each other, he decided, as usual, that he was just as happy to watch this pattern play out on its own. He would like to know Alma more, in time, but these secrets would be revealed as the clock ticked away the hours; Jowd was already cracking. He would tell, at some point; their lives would change yet again. At the least he could give them the time and peace, for now, that a cat could grant.
As Alma and Kamila finished their walk and Alma left too, leaving Kamila in the care of their nanny Ulle, Sissel hopped back to his body and sauntered through the kitchen, giving the grandfather clock a friendly brush as he passed it on his way to the heating vent to warm up his cold flesh before allowing Kamila to cuddle him. He had other places to be and other people to check on today, but he and the clock were a part of the same pattern and kept the same secrets, which even Jowd and Yomiel didn’t and couldn’t know and a cat would never tell.
The pendulum swung through their days in a steady rhythm, tick-tick-tick, and he was happy to continue ensuring it. The paw prints on the glass accumulated, and time was passing.

If a character that shows up for only a few minutes at the end of the game can be said to be my favorite (and she can) then here she is: Alma, the one who says hope for a happy ending and a non-fridged wife is never QUITE lost!
Done for Minovember 2021, prompt: favorite character
Media: pencil, alcohol-based markers
